ugh, copied the entire Grand Theft Auto V folder from my desktop to my laptop's Steam/steamapps/common folder, opened it, it said it was searching for existing files which took a little while. now I look back and it's at 0% downloading with the whole folder empty more or less. what's the best way to go about this?

Who thought it would be a good idea not to use checksums when the installation ends?

Well, I'm dumb. I just now realized after digging through the keybindings that if you hold left click, you can control planes with the mouse. That is already shit tons better than having to use Numpad. Now if only there was a way that you could walk in first person with M+KB.

This whole building/road pop-in seems to happen when my graphics card becomes a jet engine. Anyone else noticing this correlation? Has to be a bug because this doesn't happen in any other games when my graphics card fan maxes out.

Does anyone else have an issue with the scroll wheel in the game? I dont know if its just my mouse but i have to really scroll [I]hard[/I] to get the game to register a scroll.

Rolling back drivers and using a clean installation did not fix the issue. Although it did drastically reduce the amount of crashes they still exist. Then my game crashed.

Although I wouldn't get discouraged just yet because this card is fucking amazing. Once there's a patch there will be nothing to stop us! Hopefully by the time you get your card there will be a fix / patch

Probably both.[/QUOTE] GTA Online definitely is a struggle when you first start, but as long as you trudge through it or find a glitch that gets you some easy RP, you'll unlock better things and have more fun. You might want to power level your character's stats in an invite only session for a start.

Is anyone experiancing random freezes during missions? I appear to be freezing all the time during mid-mission and it prevents me from playing the game until I forcefully close it. Kinda really annoying since the game worked perfectly yesterday, minus an overheating issue on my GPU.

I think I fixed the crashing problem once and for all. But now I can't connect to GTA Online. I starts me in offline mode every time and I can't connect to GTA Online. Says GTA:O is unavailable.

Though I think my CPU is bottlenecking the performance because people are talking about using lower tier cards and maxing the settings out with 50+ FPS and I'm stuck around 40 or less when I max things out. I have an i5 3570K @ 3.4GHz and 8GB of RAM, so I'd assume this combined with a 970 would give me everything I needed, especially since I'm playing at 1440x900 windowed

What do I do in multiplayer? Gerald and Simeon are locked, what do I do

Does anyone have the same problem, I'm using AMD r7 m260, increase/decrease AA doesn't help, change from multisampling to adaptive and supersampling and cranking it up to 24x still doesn't help... Is the gun range supposed to be this hard. I dont remember the pistol moving one being so high of a score to get. Even by keeping a combo and getting bulls-eye I barely get a silver at around 12,000-13000 pts but gold is an impossible 20,000. Am I missing something here or? nvm figured it out

apologies if this has been asked already but did the faceplant button move over from console? and if so which key is it it was my favorite feature
