Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V4 - 3 and 1/2 Years in the Making: GTA V PC - Games

My game keeps crashing doing the first Franklin mission boosting the cars. It always happens right after that small jump you can do on the road.

finished the game with the "good" ending. what a load of bullshit. nothing is resolved and that ending could've been done before all of the troubles that (by the way) don't influence anything at all even started. The story is the equivalent of Call Of Duty games IMO. Well scripted, even better directed, a huge spectacle, but the writing is a load of horseshit.

Anyone know if stuttering is caused by the cpu or the gpu not having enough vram? I have an intel i5 2500k and a gtx 560 ti

Any of you with the disc version, get all the optical drives you have available (Parents PC, roommate's computer, spare PC) to copy the cab files to one location at the same time (network drive, USB HDD), then install it.

How do I host closed-friends games in GTA Online without first going into singleplayer then going to Online-tab? When I'm already Online I can only find the option that throws me into a random server full of random douchebags when I only want to play with 3-4 friends.

I've been getting random crashes, but instead of just the game crashing, a few seconds after it crashes my PC also crashes. Using updated AMD drivers and DX 11. Did anyone else get a 5 gig update after installing the game, the 57mb update and getting past the splash screen?

[sp]They took out every person that was a risk and could cause big problems for them, compared to the two "bad" endings where Frank ends up all alone, everyone hates him, and there's still a half dozen high influence people that will want him and the other protag dead. Everything's smooth until I pass the movie studio, through the alley and to the jumps on the road. Always crashes right before I can land. Anyone got any ideas? Running latest drivers, 680GTX I3770 12GB ram

The Rockstar Updater thingy is awful.. had it open but the download paused, it was eating 1gb of RAM, 30% CPU and for some reason making my GPU idle at 51C?!?!!?! (usually at 32...)

For some reason there is something really addictive to taking pictures of random people on the streets doing their day to day thing. Like I almost start to create my own stories for them from these pictures and its really nice. I would share some if I knew where to find the images. Untill ofcourse half of them attack you for staring.

Sucks but I guess theyve printed an old build on the discs or something

For those of you who want the rendered video, go to C:\Users\*Profilename*\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA V\videos\rendered Replace *profilename* with your profile name and you should be able to get ahold of the videos.

Everything is just "and now we are fine for some reason" [sp] The conflict between Lamar and Franklin: Hey I guess we clappin them merryweather now everything bout you letting the hood down be cool now F. The conflict between Michael and Trevor: Mehguess we killed these guys now guess the grudge about you lying to me for 10 years and killing our friend I've been rambling about for 2/3rds of the game is just gone now Mike. Trevors GF: No influence on him after the whole deal is over. Not even when he meets his mother. Mikes family: Guess we're back together although the stuff that spawned the problems in te first place(Tracy = spoilt cockhungry whore lusting for fame, Jimmy =Useless Wigger, Ms wife= spoilt whore without a purpose in life) ARE STILL UNCHANGED. And it goes on and on and on. Everything where the FIB and Merryweather was involved happens because "no we can't kill these dudes" and "shit Merryweather is too big" The story ends with "lets kill these dudes and fight off Merryweather". Anyone having issues with flickering grass? Can't be my GPU as it's only a couple of months old

A couple ones were asking if they could run on their laptops: This guy managed to run the game at stable 30fps on a complete shit one Intel Core i3 2330M @2.20GHz Sandy Bridge 4GB RAM DDR3 @665MHz NVidia GeForce GT520M [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOXQSC8z690[/media] (apparently it's a patch that he provides in the description, be careful) It's ugly as fuck, but looks playable for the most desperate to play. Also, gonna have to try on my i5 GT 840M, gonna take GTA V to college with me :dance:

So I finally got this 60 GB hunk of shit downloaded and its not even accepting my rockstar password, tried resetting it but even though it meets all the fucking criteria, 8 characters + uppercase and lowercase, numbers, etc. It wont fucking take the password as working. Could someone explain to me if their services are buggy or not? This is terrible, absolutely terrible.

Yeah I jumped the gun to say that. Either way Rockstar needs to let us use a better codec.
