Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V4 - 3 and 1/2 Years in the Making: GTA V PC - Games

I'm having a problem in which I cannot hear sound both on startup or ingame. This has frustrated me as I just bought the game. This is what I did to try to fix this issue - I restarted my computer and Steam - I reinstalled DirectX - I unplugged/plugged my headphones back in (my headphones Razer Kraken) - I searched for solutions online, but none are present I'm unsure what else to do. Any tips on how to fix this?

The surrealist movie you can watch in the cinema with the mexican dude and his french wife was weird as fuck.

Anyone else having a really laggy pause/map menu? The game itself runs fine.

I fucking hate trying to join a friend's game only to be taken to an online game to which I may or may not connect to then be thrown back to the main game.

While I'm waiting for a new CPU, I found the perfect workaround. I play on director's mode in the foggiest possible environment with everything disabled so I just drive around for hours while I play creepy music on self radio. It's like silent hill but with cars :v: The only thing that's pretty annoying so far about director's mode is the lack of vehicle spawn option. Hopefully that'll be added in later.

My new favorite thing is to drive my most expensive car underneath these tanks people drive around in so they have to pay thousands of dollars in insurance claims to me. Then I respawn the car, pick it up, and repeat the process. Free money when someone is terrorizing a server :v:

I really hope they fix the stuttering issue 50% of the players are getting.

Fucking hell i keep crashing and crashing on the same mission. Apparently trying to shoot while driving triggers the crash. Grrr.

Anyone running a 670? That's what my brother has... I'm curious to know if his rig could handle it.

I have a Radeon HD 7800 series and a phenom II X4 965. Will I be able to run it?

How often does Rockstar listen to community feedback and then change something or add something to GTA:O?

it's nice that you can still just put folder/song shortcuts into the music folder instead of real tracks also, is it possible to miss on side missions on other characters if you do main story missions one another?

If the game thinks you can't connect because it tried and failed, then it would put you in singleplayer, or exit the game. Just answering the question he asked literally. There is no menu for reconnecting or whatever, which sucks, but it is true.

my social club keeps loading after i've logged in. it's been like this for hours and it doesn't look like it'll proceed to open the game. what can i do?

I'll be doing them in order, and if you do it with the same people (as well as crew members) you get a shit load more bonus cash once it's all done.
