Also unrelated but on day two my psu outright died while playing (I know its not related just a cruel twist of fate). Its fixed now so I got to witness some FP vs Police shenanigans last night.

I unlocked a ton of random achievements when I transferred over.

So, this is the third time I've bought GTAV and I think it was still worth every penny. The PC version is by and far my favorite way to play the game. While my PC can't quite beat the visuals of the PS4, the PC benefits from being well optimized and I'm very happy with the frame rate the game achieves. Not to mention, the mouse controls imrpove the responsiveness of the FPS controls, and I've never been so deadly efficent during high stakes missions.

EDIT: If anything, it just proves that the smartest people were the ones who intentionally waited.

I let geforce experience optimize my settings, and it turned them up across the board. Now I'm getting a steady 60, but some stuff looks slightly worse and I have no idea which settings to tinker with to fix it.

just fiddle around until you get something that looks good and doesn't go over your ram usage. for example, i put textures on high but shit like shadows and grass on low because that doesnt matter as much to me.

I'm just getting stuck on the loading screen forever, still.

the game launches fine, i get to the flashing cop sirens and then it goes to the loading screen with the lady and tips next to her, and here it'll stay forever. i tried letting it run for multiple hours, but that still didn't work.

if any of you guys have had the same problem, please do speak up, i need some help here. i also posted a ticket for rockstar, but i guess it'll be a few days before they reply.

Did you verify game cache if you're using the steam version? Maybe some files got corrupted.

Took my break from work to walk home and progress my install, saw a button saying 'retry' and nearly shit my bed. Turns out it was just a 300mb update that needed to retry :v: praise the deities

i tried running as an admin, checked if my firewall was blocking it and tried deleting the save folder in my documents and nothing has worked.

I think the game's still quite beautiful even on Normal settings! (for some reason Geforce Experience "optimised" it to high, which made the frame rate drop like crazy. 10-30 at most on high, 30-40 on medium which is fine by me)

I don't really give a shit about the single player story mode though. I wanna roam around the city and cause chaos!

How do you get your music ingame? I put some stuff in the folder and had it scan ingame but I got no radio channel for it. Does it need to be a specific file type?

It's harder than copy-pasting DayZ.exe, but it's far from impossible. I've taken a look at the gamemode for MTA and it's not as complicated as it sounds, honestly with FiveM I'd expect it in a year or two.

The Online server system is so fucked up at the moment. No matter how I try to keep the session private or invite-only the game still throws my friend or me out of the session or somehow all kinds of random idiots are flooding the session.

I read that this has been a problem ever since the game was released on PS3 and 360. It's been two years and still this kind of shit is happening?

Really frustrating to do the missions and races when the session keeps randomly changing all the time. I really wish we could just host our own sessions.

The sound design in this game is amazing. I love hearing cars wooshing by while driving in first person, or the occasional twig snap when walking through grass.
