i think it actually uses your world model and animations, unlike most fps games which have separate view models and do depth hacks

Still getting bad stuttering, even with settings down and its saying my fps is 100, it stutters every 30 seconds or so pretty bad.

Online and Story mode are like completely different games that use the same map imo
They really feel different when you start playing either after putting much time into the other

Online has the customization advantage though, Story mode's character customization is rather limited, like you can only have certain sets of clothing and can't like match a suit jacket and shirt of different colors

i went back to 347.88 because it kept crashing today although i played all day yesterday with no crashes, not saying its fixed it but i was running it with nvidia inspector on my second monitor and the gpu load seemed way lower with the older drivers for some reason

after we went on a bit of a rampage a friend tried landing on a truck

Not really
It does use third person animations but if you pay close attention to your shadow you can see that the FPS animations are actually especially made and can only be seen by you
I guess it's cause they just place the camera at a certain height where it can't see the body besides what it's supposed to see, it can sometimes fuck up on ladders where you can see your main body

I actually thought it uses a different set of models which explained why the editor can't change camera angles.

Either that or they use a different method of rendering, I've noticed parts of the world dissapearing in mirrors behind the player in first person only.

if you have, take a couple of breaks I suppose and see if online is working. thats what I have done today, dont fancy replaying the entire singleplayer all in one like I did last time so I am just going to play it whenever I fancy it really

1). Open your GTA V Launcher.
2). Close the launcher and all "subprocess.exe" in task manager.
3). Go to "C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local" and delete the RockstarGames or Rockstar Games folder.
4). Restart the launcher and you're able to play :)

I recently found out that the tops of cars no longer deform like they did on 360, I was causing havoc with the bulldozer and ran over countless cars with it. Kinda lame but w/e.

GTA V doesn't seem to play well with overclocking, I tried both +400MHZ and +600MHZ for core and memory clock with my 750ti using MSI Afterburner and both crashed my computer after I start rendering 3D stuff

I settled with +200MHZ and it's a nice boost of performance though. Used to get 30~40fps with random stuttering on 1080p, most setting on high, fxaa only and normal texture; now I get a smooth 50~60fps.

Also it's probably a rare problem but if anyone else seems to get stuck on an empty session occasionally in GTA:O after launching the game and unable to join your friend's or any other session (should say unable to find and compatible session), pick up a random job then quit and you should be able to find other session

Wow, this actually worked, i applaud you man. I was going through checking each md5checksum of each file and constantly re validating too, wasted 2 hours when i could have just done this. You're a life saver dude!

Man it was a terrible idea to have collisions be the default in the racing gamemodes.

May as well just call it the "PIT maneuver" gamemode. All it takes is one guy to bump into the back of your car to throw the entire race for you. I gaurentee in a few months race mode will have evolved into a destruction derby

I think it does that when you alt-tab or did something with the game process

people killing me for no reason, and when i kill them i get 'bad sport', gg rockstar

i'm really wishing for some modded private servers where you can do whatever you want, with no shitty grind activities and getting wanted for taking a car (well it's a game where you steal cars you know, rockstar?).

I've had a lot more "good" races than I did on PS3. There's still usually still a few bumps and taps, but so far only one race where it was full-blown ramming and wrecking.

Then again I've only done a small handful of races, so maybe I've just been lucky.

I tried joining a session that had crew members in it (this crew) a third time and the same thing happen. I'm thinking it may be a connection issue but I'm not entirely sure.
