Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V4 - 3 and 1/2 Years in the Making: GTA V PC

Is it worth getting it on PC when I've had it on PS3?
Really want it but it's a harsh month and 45 bucks is a lot of money for me
Finally completed the Humane Raid or whatever its called. We had so much hell trying to beat that one, from people randomly falling out of the helicopter, a guy getting stuck outside the base, a guy drowning literally at the surface of the water, rockets exploding on the ground team as soon as they are fired. Literally everything that could go wrong did for that. We also had a hell of a time doing the Valkyrie setup, but we eventually made it by going up on the nearby elevated road, the one that leads to the Simeon drop off, and sniped everyone off the dock. Then I swam over, got in the helicopter, and picked everyone up. Then the fucking terminator helicopters arrived and we had to spend forever fighting them off. Seriously, they were getting hammer with absolutely everything but somehow they wouldn't die for the longest time.
After four hours of hell and finally getting that win, I absolutely celebrated with a lap dance.

Whole new game, but don't starve yourself.

Okay sounds cool, I'll see if I can work some extra hours then
Does anybody else's AF not work properly? The road ahead of me looks kinda fuzzy
Finally no more work for a few days, time to jam!

Also requested invite to the crew too.

I know that they really want to
Wondering if I can run this game well, I don't know hardware too well so I thought I'd ask you guys if this could run GTAV:

So, funny story. After getting Nvidia's 'Optimsed' settings, I turned off Vsync and I found out that the game grossly overestimates how much memory my computer is using up.
Basically I can run very high at +60fps. Good times!
I got a "failed to intitialise" error and crashed after about an hour, though. Is there a fix for that?

If you find one, let me know. I've tried everything. It might be fixed at this point, I'm not sure, I have started to restart the game every hour and a half or so so that I don't get fucked in the middle of a mission and have to do the entire thing over again. I'd love if I could just play the game without having to worry about crashes.

You'll want to update those graphics drivers
Otherwise it only looks like you're below the reccomended card, but it'll still be able to run

Played it on the PS3, and honestly, 60fps is like a killer feature. Even annoying Online gang-attacks feel great to play now.

It's definitely worth it honestly. I played PS3 and it feels so fresh and new seeing the nextgen stuff on my home system. That being said, with the issues I and many others have reported, I'd argue you wait a month if possible to secure finances and let them roll a patch or two.

Thanks; sound great and I'll see how long I can control myself from not buying it yet
Specs currently are:
Nvidia GTX770M 3GB
Intel Core i7-4700HQ (2,4GHz-3,4gHZ turbo) [Haswell]
8GB DDR3 @ 1600mhz
Storage: 1TB HDD (7200RPM) & 256GB SSD
Would I hit the 60FPS on good quality settings or nah? (being a laptop and all..)

I pull 40-60 fps with:
GTX 570M
i7-2630QM
8GB DDR3
set to:
720p
Textures: Very High
Shaders: Very High
Shadows: Normal
Grass: Normal
Post FX: High
Water: Very High
Tessellation: Normal
And pretty much a combo of normal/high off for everything else.
Does anybody else's AF not work properly? The road ahead of me looks kinda fuzzy
I recall someone in this thread saying that the ingame AF didn't work for them, but when they forced AF in their graphics card settings it worked. I've not tested that yet myself.
Tried the Prison Break heist yesterday.
I was the pilot, and I think we retried like 5 times because ground team sucked.
We didn't complete. Being the pilot is so boring.
Is there no way to self test your microphone? GTA doesn't seem to pick up audio from my mic, but it does recognize it in the settings.

you could go online and be like "Can anyone hear me?"
You can go into your recording devices, and in properties for your mic you could click the listen check box under the listen tab
that is outdated advice, unless you have some old crappy SSD then it doesn't matter. The whole point of the SSD is to make your system faster, and you aren't going to wear out newer SSDs
if you have a new SSD you probably also have enough memory to omit the paging file though
To everyone wondering if the game will run for them.
I found a guy on YT, who is running the game with these specs:
Windows 8.1 Pro 64bits
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2,93GHz (3,42GHz OC)
6GB DDR3 (1x2GB 1066 MHz - 1x4GB 1333MHz)
HD 660GB SATA (1x500GB / 1X160GB)
HIS ATI RADEON HD5770 1GB GDDR5 128-bit
Graphics on low/normal ofcourse, but it's playable. And bear in mind it's recorded footage, so you can add some fps.

So, if you have anything better than this specs, you can easily play the game.
I can say with no doubt that GTA V works better than GTA 4 on PC.
With which button do you detonate the remote charges?
