Did you guys really expect to run GTA V in the second it came out?
Yeah but the hype was too much to ignore
I believe the steam servers just spooled up so fast - it created a time wormhole and some people got thrown into past.
Now im thankful for buying physical copy of the game.
Fuck. It's not preallocating or anything here damn
so uh yeah, make sure you have double the room while it decrypts, it doesn't delete while decrypting. I've already lost 20GB of space from it.
Yes!
Looks like the countdown was never built to cope with the game actually being released [t]http://i.imgur.com/BEeqvNQ.jpg[/t]
Fluctuating between 30-50 kb/s for me. Does it decrypt after this small update? If it does, I'm glad I installed it on my SSD!
Wtf, I didn't even finish the first download and I just did the day 1 patch, I think I'm about to be fucked.
Holy shit this is bigger than the fappening.
any second now...
55/60GB decrypted hype
preload my ass 4 gbs after
"A new Steam client build has been released!" Haha, no. That can wait.
Looks like the countdown was never built to cope with the game actually being released [t]http://i.imgur.com/BEeqvNQ.jpg[/t]
I don't think anyone was built for that.
so uh yeah, make sure you have double the room while it decrypts, it doesn't delete while decrypting. I've already lost 20GB of space from it.
Wait, what the fuck, really?
ALL POWER TO THE MAIN THRUSTERS [sp]i'm not actually doing it in case it breaks stuff[/sp]
I got the update and then I got this crap (my W7 username has a normal name)
Still preparing to launch it tells me.
IT'S GLORIOUS
My computer can run Saints Row IV well on recommended settings, how well will GTA V run?
What an actual fuck?
shit, 30 minutes to decrypt
This thread right now
downloading day 1 update, about 350 mb
Im getting a disk write error?
Wait, what the fuck, really?
I'm assuming its so there is a backup if the decrypted files corrupt.
oh baby come on
Did you guys really expect to run GTA V in the second it came out?
yes, actually. for a game this size it's been handled quite poorly, honestly. it didn't need to be an encrypted preload, primarily because as long as the binaries are missing data/missing entirely, and their social club thing downloads them, it prevents leaks and also prevents shit like this. I don't really think they have control over how steam distributes it's preloads, though. Just sort of a shame this is how it occurred.
Im getting a disk write error?
make sure you have enough room to decrypt.
