Mine was sitting there for 10 minutes before I went ahead and did it manually.

Yeah, Steam doesn't remove the original encrypted files until it's finished decrypting. It's slowly eating a nice section of pie on my 2TB hdd. :v:

right i had 60 GB free on my SSD with just the pre-load hoping that's good but to be safe i deleted some other games oh man that was a scare

I'm stuck on "Preparing to launch Grand Theft Auto 5" with no indication of how long, but steam does seem to be reading and writing to disk a lot so I assume it's decrypting

Mine downloaded a 300MB plus update and then it just started with no decryption or whatever tho
