that thing runs fucking sweet but high quality textures being literally impossible to get because i have a 2GB GPU kind of blows
is there some settings i can knock down that'll allow me to get that sweet VRAM ?
2gb VRAM isn't good enough? That's surprising, I haven't really encountered any games yet where 2gb wasn't enough except for maybe with those super high res custom texture pack mods for games like crysis
I just noticed that Nvidia has a driver update for GTA V so maybe that's it. Installing it now.
I have a Titan by the way
Was it the Game Ready driver? They just released it today.
Will GTA V improve with future patches? (Performance wise) I can't max it out with GTX 970 without FPS dropping to 40. I want steady 60.
Sounds like it would run good on my computer!!! Too bad it will never download!!!
Can confirm, shortcuts work on the user radio

Of course it will. Games always do especially AAA titles.

Probably, make sure you download the new driver.

Well don't max it, I'm running a 970 at the default settings it gave me and I get a constant 60
Was it the Game Ready driver? They just released it today.
Yup
i'm having some performance issues on this setup

anyone know what the most demanding settings are? i'm getting like 40 - 50 FPS outside w/ some dips into 30 FPS.
I can't believe this. Because of my slow internet I bought it in shop, installed the SEVEN dvd's and afterward, I get this:

IT'S A CRUEL JOKE ROCKSTAR
I don't know if it's my new headset or the game, but some of the ambient gun noises and pistol sounds are a LOT more, uh, scarier. They have more of a crack behind them, like they were taken from real recordings.

I've ran into some graphics corruptions on my Radeon R9 280x using the new beta drivers. On one mission, the screen filled with stretched polygons and stuff, but switching to another character helps. If it's a common thing, I'll switch back to official drivers. (I get perfect 60 fps, anyways)
Do folder shortcuts work in user music, or does it need to be a direct shortcut to the music
The Nivida drivers were not the miracle fix I was hoping for. I still crash on start up a lot.
Well don't max it, I'm running a 970 at the default settings it gave me and I get a constant 60
You should be able to set most settings to Very High with a 970. I suggest lowering shadows, MSAA to x4, and disable High Resolution Shadows in Advanced Settings. That's what I'm running and I get 60fps most of the time but it never drops below 50.

how do i put songs on the pc radio and which radio is it
how much space does the game require for unpacking?

~120GB total if you preloaded. ~62GB for a fresh install IIRC.
So is the game worth buying? I meet the recommended specs(actually blow them by a slight mile) but I have to uninstall a lot of games and transfer a lot of stuff to my external to even be able to have this game on my computer. I loved GTA SA on my PS2 and was pretty amazed by the euphoria stuff in GTA IV but never got to playing it due to personal stuff.
Is playing this in first person good? I love open world first person games.
Edit: My specs are i7-4790@3.6GHz, 16GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 770.
running it on normal settings on my laptop, runs pretty well and doesen't look too bad

This game is totally worth buying. Best GTA I've played yet and I've played them all. Such a beautiful game and so many things to do. The freedom is real!
Can the video editor switch you between San Andreas and North Yankton whenever you want?
Playing with Medium, some quality settings raised a bit, getting 60FPS.
Happy with the wait.

So, 120 all together and once it's all done it will be back down to 62GB? I was talking to someone in one of the other games I play and they said it took them roughly 170GB total.
Protip: Don't run the benchmark before you got free roam. It loads up the prologue mission while doing it and it breaks
Hey guys, if anyone is having the [ERR_GFX_D3D_INIT] error crashes I just found a fix for it. Rename/make backups of the files "d3dcompiler_46.dll" and "d3dcsx_46.dll" in your root GTA V folder and then verify the local files on Steam. Simple fix but it took me a while to think of it so maybe it can help some others too.
[del]Wow I can't believe this fucking worked. Fixed my problem no more stutters and (so far) no crashes. Thank you![/del]
EDIT: just crashed again but the stutters are gone at least...it seems to have reduced the amount of crashes tho.
windows keeps yelling at me about the game eating too much memory. I have 8GB, is that not enough?
