So about VRAM and texture quality. I'm pretty yesterday I disabled the VRAM limit in the game and set textures to an option higher than "normal" (high, I guess?) without a noticable impact on framerate (that's in the city). GTX 770 2gb
Best graphics option: extended distance scaling http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/121915 It's under advanced graphics
first person seems really sticky to me, hard to aim
first person seems really sticky to me, hard to aim
Definitely couldn't play the whole game like that, it's just not a first-person game, but really nice to have the option natively
So I can't use the actual 2GB I have?
Your VRAM doesn't stack, essentially. It's mirrored.
Yeah, the game still stutters like shit even on the new driver. On a GTX 660 btw.
Same problem with my 660 here, the weird thing is that lowering graphical settings doesn't affect anything, when starting the game and playing for a bit it actually runs really fucking well, until the stuttering gets in the way and it won't let you, the game will keep stuttering so hard that the fps will get reduced to under 30 and become absolutely unplayable, it seems this game refuses to free up memory so its leaking all over the place.
Definitely couldn't play the whole game like that, it's just not a first-person game, but really nice to have the option natively
If anything, I will play the game the classic third person way and maybe later try some missions first person. Also your side mirrors in cars don't actively show whats behind you. rip
I wish the fov slider was better I want to see the entire gun

My god, the PC version is great. Able to run the game at absolute max @1080p, and I rarely dip below 40 FPS while usually getting 60+ FPS. There's some weird issues here and there (framerate sometimes tanks when reversing in first person), but I would be surprised if those aren't patched in the future. Overall, pretty solid, and I'd say worth the wait. Oh yeah, and GTA Online is stupid fun, considering I also observed this mess as well. Shit was technically my first introduction to GTA Online.
Getting hit by a car in first person holy shit, I mean I guess it would actually be that disorientating in real life
What the hell is Error Code 2? That's what i'm getting from the social club launcher
Your VRAM doesn't stack, essentially. It's mirrored.
I regret ever getting SLI. Running everything at lowest, first person seemed really clunky still. Is there some sort of smoothing for mouse input active? Feels like crap :v:

Anyone else had to DL another 350MB patch? Or has my launcher decided to finally crap out after everything was fine all day yesterday?
I fell of Reagy's bike, then they proceeded to flatten me as we hit the ground Thanks.

GTA V keeps starting in windowed mode for me. Anyone else getting this and know how to fix it?
My experience with the first person controls are rather nice. Driving isn't optimal, of course, but everything else is good or tolerable. First person cover is ass though. Glad there's an option to put you into third person when you go into cover. I tried out gamepad, but even with the sensitivity settings cranked up, it still feels sluggish compared to Mouse+KB.
Did anyone get these weird bold black lines all over their Online character when they imported it? I tried changing outfits and appearance and they just wouldn't go.
Okay I bet I probably will only be able to play this on my desktop computer. My laptop could handle GTA 4 at 30-40 ish and that was nice for going to friends' places and having some fun but I doubt a 620M and a dual core i5 will result in a playable GTA 5 frame rate.

This obviously means AMD has some serious performance issues that need addressing. NVIDIA cards are not twice as powerful as their AMD counterparts
How bad is this? 8 GB RAM i7-2600K 2x NVidia Geforce 560Ti because the graphics run like poop, I have to run it at 1366x768 and everything at lowest or otherwise I use too much video ram. I think I have to replace my GPUs with 1 good GPU instead.
SLI is one of those things that's good on paper but in practical use it just doesn't work. especially because so many things aren't SLI compatible "evidently" gta is, but it runs so well on high end graphics cards that press and rockstar PR run SLI supercards that would easily run the game 60 frames on a single card, so they probably never even bothered optimizing it for SLI anyway
No big issues other than a few graphical glitches every once in a while. The main issue is after I play for about an hour it starts stuttering a bit. It seems my cpu is finally showing its age. Other than that it runs fine on low at 60fps on a Gtx 560ti, i5 2500k and 8g of ram.
Its really weird for me. If I run it on a single card, I can run it at normal/high @~30fps, and its fine for a while, then I start getting horrendous pop-ins. Like, the entire road and buildings and city blocks will just disappear. If I run it on SLI, I can max it out on all ultra/some high @60fps, but I get horrendous pop ins right from the get go. I really hope this is something that R* can fix quickly. Its literally perfect besides that. Also, the jump from normal textures to high textures is weird. On one card using normal textures, Im using 1700/2000mb of vram. high textures puts me at 2300/2000, and the drop in frame rate/input lag makes it impossible to play. on two cards with normal textures, its 2300/4000mb vram, thats with nothing different. high textures on SLI is 4300/4000mb and its butter smooth. In fact, I can put everything at ultra and its still 60 fps. The only issue is that the pop-ins happen much quicker.
Game works great on my PC. Possibly the best GTA port ever.
Seriously, ignore that graph, just try it yourself. this decryption is killing me

Also the game is pretty fine. [t]http://i.imgur.com/GK2dzrF.jpg[/t]
Has anyone had luck getting non-steam gta v working as a non-steam game on steam? I'd like the overlay but it doesn't start when launching through steam
Anyone know?
