What settings should a 670gtx be able to ruin it at, with 16gb of ram and a 3770 i7 thats overclocked to 4.4ghz

Been benchmarking for the past hour, i do have the recommended graphics card but i am lacking in a little ram (6 gb to the 8) and i also have a weaker processor than the recommended. (I5 2.9 ghz quad compaired to the recommended 3.2 Quad, same i5). I can run it in a very consistent 30 frames, according fo the benchmark. So i guess its not all that bad. Just as long as the quality settings are at Normal quality. Not too sure if i should run at DirectX 10, 10.1 or 11 though. I might have a reason to upgrade my computer. I still don't quite "get" pc gaming.

My brother caught both his own and my copies when he was at work today (he's a postman), so I'll be getting my physical copy this afternoon rather as tomorrow morning (the post system is a tad borked where I live). I did a Can I Run It? test on my PC as well and I found that my OS isn't in the recommended specs (Vista Business, the key I got for it was cheap) and I'm just short on RAM somehow (3.1GB? wat). Hopefully that shouldn't affect anything too much. I can still play other games no problem so I would imagine that it's fine since my CPU and graphics card are both way above minimum specs.

I just really wanted to play before my classes today. Oh well. Guess I won't be playing until 8 PM tonight.

I never thought I'd ever go near 8GB of RAM being used by one game, but GTAV somehow pushes my memory usage near 100%. The fucking multiple social club "sub processes" add to the total and along with regular Windows services I can't run the Steam Overlay without it crashing due to low RAM, and even trying to alt-tab in borderless windowed has Windows warning me to close GTAV due to low RAM. Is there any (legit) program that shuts off unnecessary processes to help free up RAM? Google gives me some results but I'm always wary of programs claiming to solve performance issues with PCs as half the time they're malware. Game runs like a dream otherwise, had to lower some settings because my GTX 970 was overheating, which is the first game I've had overheating issues with since I bought the card.

I deleted dsdcsx_46.dll and d3dcompiler_46.dll from steamapps/common/gtav and then verified cache and that fixed it for me so far

should i get this driver update i know some people were having problems with the game after installing it last night, but has it been patched or anything since then?

anyone else experiencing the game just locking up at random? I also have insane stutter when browsing the menus, while actually playing the game is steady

It still crashes but they're much less common now. I uninstalled my game from my HDD and set it to install on my SSD overnight. I'm surprised it only took about 2 hours to finish, but I'll see if this helps tonight.

Is there a way to remove money in bulk? I don't wanna play with the preorder money. It feels odd being able to buy all the most expensive guns and car mods just at the start of the game. Also it makes Franklin like 1000 times richer than Michael.

Validated my game cache files and it still won't launch.
