Weird I'm actually having no issues with vsync and I NEVER use vsync in games because of that you're saying. The screen tearing was insanely bad in this game and I had to turn it on. There was no fps drop for me when turning it on and I was extremely surprised. Actually I was able to turn my settings even higher afterwards.
Is there any way to reduce the CPU load of this game?
I've got a slightly mismatched setup of an overclocked Phenom II 1055T and an R9 290, and I'm getting 45 fps while driving regardless of graphics settings (same on off/normal as on all very high). It seems all the graphics settings are targeted at reducing GPU load.
With Max Payne 3 sitting at 120 fps on near-max I was expecting better than this
I remember gta4 had to have vsync because the cutscenes always zoomed in and you couldn't see half the scene
So loads of you guys are complaining about framerate and all sorts of issues with the game, and so I want to ask, should I get GTA5 PC now or wait for patches and then buy the game?
Has anyone who's transferred their character received their extra money online? I've got my Singleplayer money but not my Online money.

I'm willing to buy this game but I'm not willing to pay 60 fucking euros for a 2 year old game that I already own on PS3.
Game should have been 40 euros on release, sure it seems like a pretty good PC version but it's not an entirely new game.
So now that the games out, does anyone have a geforce 470 and or a phenom ii 1055t, and how does it run on what settings?

Well i've found out my sixth disc from retail is corrupted, so i've wasted a lot of time to find that out. Time to go download 65gb on Aussie net.
We tried to play Siege and when we switch teams and I end up as attacker, my screen freezes. The UI and minimap works fine, I can hear things and I can move my character, but my screen is locked to a screenshot from the transition to the new round. I can't find anything on google. Anyone else got this?

Wow, benchmarked and everything, this game runs smooth even when the frames dip.
I've got just about everything maxed, save for bringing the mfsa settings to only 2X. Everything looks pretty so far.
One thing I'll say, is that tearing is AWFUL in cutscenes and rapid movement. Extremely distracting. I don't normally run games with V-sync, but I'm doing it for this one right now for my sanity. Not an awful difference in FPS though, surprisingly. I guess that's why it defaults to on.
One more reason to get a G-sync monitor though, seriously.
Another thing is some of the shadows feel very odd. Franklin's aunt's house has jagged-ass shadows on the roof tiles, but I'll have to go through the game some more to see if that's not isolated.
Driving takes some getting used to, but WOW, first person or not, the aiming and shooting feels SO much better with a mouse and keyboard. Almost too damn easy. It never helped that I played the PS3 version on a tiny standard-def CRT before, but aiming at distant targets feels like child's play.
This is gonna be FUN...

I'm lazy and it would honestly take the same amount of time for me. Probably take longer to install it by disc. I also disconnected my cd drive when I got an ssd since I couldn't be arsed to fuck around with the cables in the case. So there's that too. :v:

500k is fuck all when you need 200mil to buy the Golf Course.
So the game runs, and the framerate is good, but the graphics looks like shit due to my AMD 6900 i have to run everything on low. So what new graphics card should i get that have most bang for the buck?
Downloading these 5 GBs is going to take longer than I expected...
