The amd beta drivers? any info on that? does it improve the performance?
R* Social club is saying that I already transferred characters, so I can't bring my level 92 from Xbox to PC.
Well, least I still get my pre-order money and I beat some level 200 german guy who was talking shit before a race.

Stole this from a 4chen thread but oh my goodness it looks so fucking good compared to the 360 version I've always played
Anyone know what setting can get rid of this stuff?

It only happens when looking outside from interiors and a bit when it rains.
Is GTA Online pedestrians and traffic still low crowded?
It's weird how texture quality is a huge FPS hog. I put textures on normal and it runs a lot smoother, but the game obviously doesn't look as good anymore.
I have 2gb VRAM and there's no real noticeable difference performance-wise between normal textures and high for me.
The first time I changed it to high it seemed like it dipped performance but turning ambient occlusion to normal rather than high made it fine.
I thought my card wasn't great before this game, but now I can see that my $99 (ebay) card is good enough to have detailed vehicle interiors at my native resolution.
Just look at the prices for this card it's downright amazing.

Anyways, I stayed up all night last night just to make sure my re-download didn't mess up and got to play this morning.
The game runs great on my pc, but it stutters in online a little bit during activities usually.
Been having a blast so far.
Haven't met any of the FP crew or my other friends but it's still really fun.
Hope to meet some of you guys in-game.
Guys I have literally tried everything to try and resolve the sc error that keeps popping up after launching the game, "Social Club failed to load due to an incomplete installation. Please exit the game and re-install the latest version of the Social Club."
Should I just move over the installed social club folder onto the same drive as my game and see if that works?
is anyone seriously not having this problem?
Can anyone here with a 760 tell me what settings they're using and how the game's running
thanks
I'm on a 760 with an i5 4690k @ 3.5ghz, running on mid - very high on different settings, runs very smoothly
Made my Online Character look like Tony Stark:

Probably not the first.
Okay this is retarded. I literally can't drive because sometimes the game won't accept any more inputs for two, up to three seconds and will then churn them all out at the same time. I can't drive because I get locked in one direction (sometimes steering as well) for several seconds leading to inevitable death.
What the fuck is even going on ? It makes the game unplayable. Changing graphical options doesn't do anything, it's still fucked at lowest or highest settings. It does this on every part of windows as well, not just the game, as long as it's launched. Even if I stay at the menu and start typing on another window it will slow down the typing, freeze it entirely, or cause it to work in the game as well, so sometimes if I type D twice and then Enter, it will go to story mode and launch the game while sitting in the menu.
Driving a truck in first person does such a great job at conveying the power of it all, in third person it just looks like you are booping cars to the side but the carnage gets so much better when you see a car dissapear under your hood, hear the crash and can look out to the side at the wreckage whilst plowing on.
First person driving is kind of clunky at times but very satisfying.
You know, I wouldn't mind the 5gb patch if it didn't download like a snail and start over every fucking time it loses connection.
So after the 24 hour long download's finally finished, there's a 20 minute long decryption process, afsdfiuhsgiud
All pulled from that previously posted link. Seems like these new drivers are fucked.
definitely reverting especially since it seems like mostly a problem with the drivers and 970's
I just left my pc to walk into the kitchen with GTA ingame, when i came back it had went into BsoD with a memory leak or too little memory. Damn this game
If they can make it work with 512 MB of ram, surely PC shouldn't have this many problems?
Or are you saying it's not really the same game? Which would make sense.
I guess I'm lucky, I haven't had any problems yet.
Not sure why, but my Self Radio is super quiet, I can barely hear my music, but the normal radio stations sound what, what do?
Not sure why, but my Self Radio is super quiet, I can barely hear my music, but the normal radio stations sound what, what do?
I think it's do with the sample rate of your mp3. If you're using low quality mp3's you've downloaded off the internet then it's going to sound really low (I have no idea how this works, but it's the same thing for a lot of programs on my PC).
This obviously means AMD has some serious performance issues that need addressing.
NVIDIA cards are not twice as powerful as their AMD counterparts
7950 running at 120 fps average at very high textures/shaders and then high all the way down. 0 msaa with fxaa and AF set to 16x
lookin' good, runnin' good
So I just finished installing my retail copy. At the part where I should be downloading the 5GB remainder of the files, my launcher simply flickers between "Loading..." and "Installation failed, please retry." Anyone got any advice?
I fixed this, had to run the launcher in administrator. Funny that some applications still freak out without that.

I use as high quality MP3s as I can and they do sound pretty quiet. I'm sure a booster will be available somewhere.
Speaking of which, how are mods looking? Have people looked into the files yet?

Apparently there are already hackers online
is there a handling.dat file
I already asked here and you guys said that I can't run this but you keep saying that anyone can run it on 10 years old hardware and my laptop is like 3-4 years old so:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/fvKrozr.png[/t]
I have no experience in HW stuff so what do you think?
You will run it at 30fps 720p and everything on low, but it will be too ugly and not enjoyable imo.
Keep in mind notebook hardware is different from desktop hardware. It's way weaker even if it has a shiny i5 or i7 label in it.

and this is why I play with friends
is there a handling.dat file
I've heard it's inside the rpf files which haven't been figured out yet afaik.
