Ark Survival V.1 - Now 40% less likely to melt your GPU! - Games

Every fuckign YouTuber on the planet is playing this and I don't know why. It looks pretty terrible. I was interested when I saw the trailer but after seeing gameplay it just looks bad.. I don't understand.

So it's this circle of hype from media and YT'ers and then the fans/readers of them. Hype brings views.

genuinely thought the person that got kidnapped was just a 12 year old boy also, this was one of the more boring ARK vids

I'm gonna be honest - if I was going to play one of these games, I'd go for Rust. The community is pretty bad, but the game mechanics are at a point where they're far more polished and the development is far more interesting and engaging. If not Rust, then something closer to Turok. With this game, I'm seeing a lot of promises and a lack of inspiration.

The latest updates have done wonders for my performance. I'm able to get 40-50 FPS on high graphics settings. Before I could barely break 30 on any setting.

I'm honestly surprised that it took this long for them to get this outclassed. I really ought to scrounge up some money for upgrades.
