If you go back and replay the mission, he'll have higher stats and you can extract him and he'll replace the first one you had.
You can do that with any "Special" characters you can extract.
[sp] I started to realize that parasites seem to be the 80's version of what Nanomachines would be in the 2000's and 2010's with MGS, MGS2, and MGS4. And still on the topic of parasites, The Skulls.. I remember seeing that parasites were the source of their abilities, but was that 'pulling-weapon-out-of-thin-air/my-arm' shit ever explained? It's a detail considerably smaller than the rest of their abilities, but it's been bothering me because I don't recall an explanation on it.[/sp]
So I noticed I get volunteers when I return to the ACC via pickup instead of via the pause menu
So doing side ops, seems like it might be worth the deploy/wait cost to just wait for helo pickup?

It never gets an explanation, but since [sp]it uncloaks like Quiet and the snipers, my guess is it's essentially the same ability but on a smaller scale since the male Skulls demonstrate a similar cloak-and-speed ability yet don't use it like the females do.[/sp]

If I recall, getting picked up manually also is the only way to use capture cages in freeroam too. Seems like they intended for you to get more benefits from a manual exfiltration than the shortcut.

You can also extract via containers and still get capture cage/volunteers afterwards.
one thing that bothers me about mgsv [sp]why bother with les enfants terribles when big boss was able to find someone just as skilled as him in his own military ranks?[/sp]
I always thought [sp]the weapons got built by the metallic archaea, or simply teleported in from hammerspace like how we fulton shit out[/sp]

[sp]The series has done this before. Solid Snake was trained by Big Boss himself, probably got into FOXHOUND so the Patriots could make a second Big Boss of their own in a sense. The S3 Plan had a side-effect of putting someone through similar trials and tribulations to Solid Snake, and while it wasn't the main cause it did essentially make Raiden a Snake in a manner of speaking. Even if only temporarily. And Para-Medic was talking about cloning ever since Operation Snake Eater, so she probably engaged in it recklessly, meaning that Solid and Liquid were the products of impulse to keep an icon of Big Boss, rather than any actual general thought of how useful they may be. MSF soldiers could also statistically surpass Big Boss in Peace Walker, so even then The Medic isn't implausible if he's meant to be the best and most loyal of Big Boss' soldiers.[/sp]
Was driving home today and saw some containers on some industrial yard and my first thought was "I need to Fulton those.."
Time for a break?

I think the major part about [sp]LET was the symbolism of Big Boss. Zero intended to use Big Boss as an idol, and he just wanted insurance that he would be around, hence the clones.[/sp]

No.
He gets a different name and stats each time, specifically him. You can literally fill your base with Diamond Dads.
I can't be the only one to find it strange that there's both a side-op and a main mission centered around getting an Afrikkans interpreter, right?
I can't be the only one to find it strange that there's both a side-op and a main mission centered around getting an Afrikkans interpreter, right?
Iirc it's there in case your interpreter gets stolen/dismissed and you don't want to go through a mission just to get another one.
dude I have over 600 staff do they seriously expect me to go through the list of all 600 to [sp]quarentine the ones who speak the language spreading the virus?[/sp]

This is why grinding before this point makes it feel like the most anti-player thing they could've done. I got lucky all things considered. Oh, and [sp]keep an eye on volunteers and anyone in the brig, because they'll try to sneak the infection past you too.[/sp]

yup
I had around 900
fucking Kojima
I was trying to level up my Diamond Dad a few times but so far he had shit stats every time. Just to avoid any confusion I do find S ranks in the field fairly often, I'm just unlucky with D-Dad.

Yes.
Or just speed through missions. I mean, it'll be faster by a mile but [sp]say goodbye to a HUGE chunk of Mother Base if you do.[/sp]

I only lost 28 people by speeding off.

Deploy him on fob defense and get the Medal of Honor
I only lost 28 people by speeding off.
Most annoying thing is the shit load of volunteers when doing this
Kaz why the fuck are you opening the flood gates in a quarantine
thank god the game puts all new dudes at the top of the list
imagine having to scroll through the whole list every time
also is the language the same every time?
So is Mission 22 a recreation of your typical FOB where the main target kills himself? :v:
I actually forgot about sort by recruitment and constantly searched through each individual section

Yes, it's the same between playthroughs
But my volunteers weren't automatically at the top, I had to hunt every single individual [sp]Kikongo speaker[/sp] down individually
