I just played again after taking a break that lasted over a week, and got a new cutscene I didn't even know existed. The helo landed, D-dog was waiting on the pad, and despite Ocelot's "DD - No!" he jumped on board, tackled Snake, and started licking his face. Ocelot looked surprised to see me. "Snake? That explains it." Snake apologized under a very excited D-dog. Ocelot replied "Don't be such a stranger - It sets a bad example for the men," He gestured at D-dog; "He misses you too."
204 hours and I'm still discovering stuff.

If the devs are implying there's more to the game than meets the eye, i'm sure there's plenty of things we have yet to see. Unless someone datamines the shit out of the game to find every single thing that they somehow haven't found already yet.
Just came back from a few days abroad to find that literally all my fuel resources have been stolen.
Yeah fuck you too, Konami. I might as well stop playing your fucking game since your system allows others to effortlessly halt my singleplayer progress. For absolutely no reason. Why even bother playing the game when playing at my own pace is literally prohibited? "Completely optional" my ass. Fuck Konami.
Did anyone else [sp]when fighting the man on fire instantly go to knock him off the cliff with the conveniently placed jeep?[/sp]
I thought that was the only way to beat him at first because it made the most sense, but someone just told me there are several ways to do it. Kinda wanna know how everyone else dealt with him.
If you have the level 4 stun arm, the lightning strike attack at full charge will kill him instantly. [sp]Same way he died in MGS3.[/sp]

Or just the unprocessed stuff? Because you can just swing by Nova Braga airport or something to grab fuel there, and it'll be back to processing it at the same rate.
It does suck losing stuff, but it's not nearly as big of a deal as the numbers going down makes it seem.

Yeah I don't totally understand why so many people in here are like "ooh yeah just stole 100k fuel!!". Like, is anyone actually checking their resource levels afterwards? It's a special, online, unprocessed resource that you're stealing. Cool, yeah, but you have to process that. And no, they didn't steal anything you were actually using if you were truly offline.

I just ran through the covered concrete pad with all the junk in it and he got stuck
I still haven't built an FOB because I still haven't been online. It's faster just to decline the TOS than to click through all those fucking messages.
[sp]On the subject of the quarantine, is it actually possible to not have any Kikongo speakers in your ranks and trigger the portion of story when the quarantine takes place? What would even happen? Would some of your soldiers inexplicably learn Kikongo, and the language starts spreading itself across the staff? Language tends to spread amongst staff like a virus, I've had staff who only know English suddenly learn more than two languages after a while.[/sp]

I read one guide which said [sp]the infected language was random but had a high chance of being Kikongo. I guess there's dialogue for the others too. Not sure if that's the case as I've only heard one person say it was any other language[/sp]
Really? Mine was kikongo too and I picked it up instantly.
Do FOB invaders lose everything they've stolen from you if you manage to fulton them? I just defended against a guy who stole three nukes right in front of me (after massacring my base with a Hail grenade launcher, goddamn calm down) but in the invasion stats it says he stole nothing.
I never realized this before, but I had the same thing happen to me yesterday when a guy extracted half of my guards and eventually got fultoned by the defender. I didn't lose anything and I can't retaliate either
So I guess there is a reason to fulton invaders beside bragging rights, after all
All I have on my FOB is 1 level 1 combat platform just so I could send out more guys on deployment, there's pretty much nothing on it and I haven't been invaded once
Fuck FOBs
I only now just realized the model got the msf logo the wrong way round.

Take a shower, unless you mean being a demon, in which case dismantle a nuke.

You've done nothing but post stupid shit since you got here eh?
Really? Mine was kikongo too and I picked it up instantly.
[sp]Everyone gets Kikongo. I've never heard anyone else get a different language.
Otherwise they'd have to record several versions of codetalker musing about "THE "KIKONGO"... STRAIN..."[/sp]
It's such a waste we don't return to Camp Omega in TPP. I can see it having tighter security, new buildings, some with interior, altered layout after the events of GZ. I can imagine it could be the place to also include UAVs in normal gameplay.
In other news is it just me or are FOBs with the highest security a nightmare to infiltrate?
I remember a while back, someone on 4chan made a post talking about how they got to play MGS V early, and mentioned that Kaz called the child soldiers "niggers". I genuinely wish that was in the game. Sure, it would stir up a lot of shit, but it would fit his personality.
Idk about it suiting his personality, but yeah I was kinda rooting for it to be in the game just because of how 'out there' it would be.

he grew up a victim of his half-white heritage in a racist post-ww2 japan, why would spouting racial slurs be fitting in the slighest?

Take some time to learn the layouts by training and they're not so bad. Definitely challenging though
If you get spotted however, it's going to be very painful especially if the guards are high ranked

Yeah, after I thought about it a bit, I agree it doesn't really fit, but I dunno. It would've been crazy to hear.
My brig is so crowded by new recruits that my units are leveling down to make room
I have a fulton addiction

I'm confused with what you're doing.
Once they leave the brig they're auto assigned and it takes the lower rated people out of your units, replaces them with higher ones. Then the low rated people get put in the waiting room.
Why are you levelling them down?
I no other game is the split so obvious between the finished, polished part (chapter one) and the part where the board of directors kicked down the door in a cocaine-fueled rage and demanded the product to be shipped YESTERDAY (chapter two).
What could've been...
