Metal Gear Solid - A Hideo Kojima Thread - Flimsy Huey and the Phooey Fallacy - Games

The xbox getting the costumes first while nobody else got them yet reminds me of when Metal Gear Rising took a fucking year to give the costume DLC(including Gray Fox) to ps3 owners because it was part of the ultimate edition bundle(which would be paying 75 dollars for a game and story DLC I already own just for some costumes). While the 360 version got them like a week after release if I recall correctly. I'm going to assume it's not going to be that stupid but it just reminded me.

like jesus, if your main complaint about the game is the lack of story and its unfinished nature, why the fuck are you streaming yourself routing a story playthrough, why not just skip it because it's supposedly unneeded?

After all, they held like a 500+ hour marathon in preparation for The Phantom Pain that led straight into a full story playthrough (although granted, their exhaustion, 3Dogg's constant connection issues, and other issues probably helped paint an extremely harsh first opinion), and their stream is even named after Big Boss' dream obviously. I understand why they'd be salty about the extremely debatable quality of TPP considering they fell for the hype probably even worse than we did. It's just that despite them trying to master and learn the game's ins and outs they continue to bitch and drone on about it, just like they did the exact. Same. Thing with MGS4. They'll do "every easter egg that isn't a special item, every conversation, full story" runs, and then when they're not silent for the cutscenes they'll piss and moan about the story and drk bitches about the game being a third person shooter if they're not actually discussing the gameplay and strategies at hand.

By the way guys, if you're playing MGO use only the Automatch function for matchmaking. 100 GP for wins, 50 for losses compared to the minuscule amount you get otherwise.

I'm glad that camp omega came back for MGO but at the same time that's some monkey paw bullshit when I said I wanted it in TPP

Camp Omega works perfectly as a multiplayer map but I really do wish I could at least mess around in it in free roam in the SP mode. Also anyone else have the game just fucking crash sometimes while joining matches through the server browser? Playing on PS4.

Man, my team dominated on Bounty Hunter we only lost like two tickets and completely wiped the other team out. It was a really dirty win though. Some guy got a Walker Gear, and trapped the other team in their spawn, and ended up getting a bounty of like 18. The host got salty and left after the match ended :v:

I fultoned a guy with a bounty of like 7 and my helpful teammate decided to unload a mag into him before he could be extracted. I've played for a day and I'm already done with this community.

So where the hell are those costumes on PC?

They were briefly released for Xbox One by accident (at least, The Boss' and EVA's were, turns out there's a zipped up version of The Boss' suit as well as unzipped!), but now no one can buy them. Some are saying they'll be released on the 20th but not sure what the source of that is besides Konami saying 'somewhere towards Halloween'. Because Konami wants to content-gouge us so we keep playing the game.

I am just a small-time bitter cheater), information regarding the costumes are available in game files, but the textures are not, similar to what happens to the console-exclusive collectors edition extras (Ocelot-pattern fatigue suit, All-Terrain Pattern fatigue and other urban-based fatigues and cardboard boxes, ADAMSKA revolver and pistol, 1 double-barrel, 1 MP5-esque, 3 shields, etc...). This means that there will be costumes, but we will have to either a) wait for Pachinkonami to release them, or b) contact either the Russian Coding Wizards or Kojipro themselves to release the locked items as a mod. In fact, the new items in the latest update was actually available as parts before the patch(the 25 rnd nade drum is what I noticed, as I used them in one of my glitched weapons.). So, mark my word that [I]there's going to be an AK-pattern 75-round 5.56mm machine gun[/I] in the upcoming months (the parts are there). Okay so what's the deal with mission progress stopping after mission 43? I just did it and the only missions I have available are the hard mode repeats.

I just haven't figured out how so I've just been grinding side ops and [EXTREME]/[SUBSISTENCE]/[TOTAL STEALTH] mission replays. I DID manage to get [sp] Huey's exile [/sp] triggered like this but nothing has happened since.
