Walker gears, stupidly OP at low levels, the problem isn't dealing with them its the fact that you've got nothing to use AGAINST them till higher levels.
A magazine and a half from the default assault rifle can destroy one with mostly head-on shots. Two players, much less two Infiltrators with the ability that makes them not have to worry much about the recoil and spread of their primary weapon, can destroy a Walker Gear extraordinarily fast. Although I've noticed that at complete random, the Walker Gears seem to instantly destroy one or another when two fight.

Every class has an M4 as a starting loadout. And with some coordination you can surround a walker using only 2 people. Walkers are a lot more vulnerable than people would like to believe.

Fucking ninja'd
Also the recoil ability is also available to scout as Sniper+.

I have to test it more really, but with Sniper+ you have less recoil and sway, meaning it's easier to get accurate shots over a range if you burst fire or snipe obviously. Meanwhile Infiltrators get an ability that basically reduces the gun's spread to almost zero, so in close-to-medium range they can mow you down with little to no problem.
jesus, watching a bunch of players backed up in a corner CQCing each other to see who can fulton someone first is like witnessing a rape.
I am relieved when people are stupid enough to shoot me after I've been CQC'd when I have a high bounty.
Part of me hopes people never stop being stupid about that, at least on the other team.
I really hope that the PC version doesn't stick with p2p, because just watching some videos there is lag everywhere.
I doubt Konami is willing to put up dedicated servers for the PC version. I hope someone can figure out how to hack it in somehow
How am I supposed to unlock the butterfly emblem if [sp]quiet is already gone[/sp]? Am I screwed and is it counted towards 100% completion?
I hope I get this right. Only things that count for 100 %:
All S ranks
All missions tasks
All side ops
All animals
you can salute in SP? how did I miss this
No you can't

Speaking of that, if you fulton a defender on an fob, can they still come back?
Also I've encountered two people who can't be held longer than 2 seconds, they must be doing that minigame to get out ungodly fast.
Speaking of that, if you fulton a defender on an fob, can they still come back?
Yes, pretty sure its the same respawn penalty as well but don't quote me on that.
really? Animals?
Yep, one of each type at least.
I also read you have to develop couple of key items and one of each type (like at least 1 pistol, 1 shotgun,...) which should be fine.
Also I've encountered two people who can't be held longer than 2 seconds, they must be doing that minigame to get out ungodly fast.
The video two pages ago had Ryo Ohki breaking out of KO extraordinarily fast. I thought it was a hack, but no, some people can actually break out of it that goddamn fast. Which is annoying if a hacker was pairing that with health invulnerability.
Speaking of that, if you fulton a defender on an fob, can they still come back?
Yes, the only difference with fultoning defenders is you get a lot more espionage points
Were there any secret animals? I rarely see anything small scurrying around and the only animals my cages caught were gerbils, bats, and one scorpion

[sp]Tsuchinoko, only able to be captured in a cage like in MGS3[/sp]
[sp]Tsuchinoko, only able to be captured in a cage like in MGS3[/sp]
There should have been something like a blond hedgehog with sunglasses.
I don't think I'll ever be able to break out of a stun or a choke hold because some how in the past year my buttom mashing ability has turned into utter garbage. Now I'm just resentful that every new game I play has some sort of quick time mash-o-thon mechanic.
jesus, watching a bunch of players backed up in a corner CQCing each other to see who can fulton someone first is like witnessing a rape.
yeah a 2-sided rape
Were there any secret animals? I rarely see anything small scurrying around and the only animals my cages caught were gerbils, bats, and one scorpion
If you are talking about MGSV there are indeed rare animals you can only capture with the animal cages and they have specific spots. Check the internet guides because there is no info in the game to actually help you pinpoint their location and unless you want to spend searching the two huge maps it's the only way. Well, the internet or the official guide (at least that's what I'm told is the source of the perfect spots).
To be specific, some (I'd say most) of the ultra rare animals don't even have a 3D model that you can see in-game. You only get their picture.
How rare are Okapis? I found one accidentally :v:
How rare are Okapis? I found one accidentally :v:
I think there is 3 places they spawn in Africa always, and they spawn in pairs.
[editline]7th October 2015[/editline]
Still they are listed as "ultra rare" was it.
So I decided to Emulate Portable Ops and play it cause, I thought "Hey, It's a PSP it probably doesnt have pressure sensitive CQC" and the Grey Fox fights are so underwhelming compared to Python, RAXA, Grumble Master (Cunningham), and Gene.

... "Pressure sensitive" CQC?
... "Pressure sensitive" CQC?
Yeah, MGS3's CQC is more or less pressure based, I think the grab and throw are on the same button and you activate one or the other depending on how hard you press.
[editline]7th October 2015[/editline]
Something that a keyboard can't emulate too well. Unlike Portable Ops, which doesnt have it.

Well to throw you just press the CQC button while moving, it doesn't matter how hard you press it. The only pressure sensitive part is if you're grappling a guy and press the CQC button harder you'll slit his throat.

It's not hard at all to wake up from a stun at all on PC, you just shake your mouse around and mash E.

Wait, PS2 can detect how hard you press the button?
Wait, PS2 can detect how hard you press the button?
Ya.
[editline]7th October 2015[/editline]
I think Metal Gear is the only series that ever used that feature.
