Or just use the S1000? Usually when they see you they're pretty close
I mean to pop them from afar when they're over the sea, people only notice if they crash on a platform.
Well I run the 7.62 MRS with the downgraded penetration mag. I have to, the auto 12.7 doesn't have enough ammo for defenses against defenders. Takes 2 hits at that 50m...but I'm saying that the unique issue here is that they'll call an Alert faster than one shot can be fired without reflex. It's apparently not instant if Reflex is enough to stop it, but it's much, much, much faster than the guards, even if the UAVs have similar non-alert "inspection" behavior.
I want to try that mod that adds S+ and S++ soldiers in freeroam, but I'm worried I'll end up getting punished by Konami for using it. Using it seems necessary more than ever because now that Boaster functions both ways, and it's damn irritating seeing fake S+'s wandering around that are really S ranks.

But it does take one hit at any range if you hit the right spot(the gun)
Do you know if a barrel with the handguard the AM-69 AAS uses in Ground Zeroes is there too? I don't care about 10,000 round drum mags with instant kill explode-o-bullets or any useful shit like that, I just want my stuff to look cool damn it. Some extra stuffs found includes a new Serval Barrel, LVL3 SMG Suppressor (probably for the Not-MP5, seems pretty tiny. Not sure about the capacity), and carbine/undermount conversions for the Silence Pistol (with built-in silencer and costing some Lutea to deploy) and Auto Pistol (the low-cap version). EDIT: So is there anyway to infiltrate a maximum security FOB (4/4 command, lvl 45 S+ snipers, full set of security measures like cams, UAVs, ...) without triggering the defense AND not using hacks?

Am I the only one who preferred the writing in Ground Zeroes compared to the writing in Phantom Pain? I mean there's not a lot of story in Ground Zeroes but I found the story of Chico and Paz being stuck in Gitmo to be a lot more engaging than what we got in Phantom Pain.

I liked how it felt more mature and grounded. Just my opinion obviously but I bought TPP expecting it to be like GZ in tone and story, the game is still good its just with Ground Zeroes being the prolouge I thought they would keep it all consistent, ah well... That music though, hearing this playing for the first time as your running to the LZ carring Paz as soldiers are shooting at you and the base alarm blaring away, TPP just didn't have moments like these

For example, not only was a bunch of stuff in 2014's gameplay footage missing outright from the final game, but I noticed something with MGO: your soldiers have limited sprint and run out of breath real quickly. In magazine previews back in March or April, they were still talking about how your DD Soldiers you can play as aren't as good as Snake and can run out of stamina and out of breath. Even to the last minute of development this game was probably getting tweaked, and the reason the voice acting stuff went on for a surprisingly long time might of had to be due to rewrites.
Honestly I thought those cutscenes at the start and end of GZ was better than a lot of the scenes we saw in TPP. I admit the I won't scatter your ashes scene was pretty good. And they made it look like Skullface was going to such a good villain while what we actually got was.. yeah.

I want morpho's helicopter back as a customization option :c

Man I've never played a game that gave me so many conflicted feelings before I never got to play MGO2, and Metal Gear Online is really really fun, but after playing for a few matches it leaves me more frustrated than any other game I've ever played. It's a bit of a combination of Walker Gear's ridiculous turning speed and the various (albeit occasional) dumb ways to die. At the same time I've had some really cool moments, and I've never seen a game in which people use voice commands effectively as much as they do. I've legit coordinated with random people sans a microphone and taken out small squads, or killed people in well-protected sniping positions. One time there were two guys in one of the watch-towers on red fortress, and through some commands me and my buddy managed to kill one with a grenade and sniper the other (who was originally pinning us down with cover fire) while they were distracted, it's really great. I just wish It didn't get me so pissed off after a few matches :v
Getting pissed off at a multiplayer game is half the fun, see: dota.

The only real time I get frustrated is when I have the perfect window for a counter-WG CQC and it doesn't work because the connection hates me or something. And when teammates are stupid and kill people you knocked out.
You don't need it, you can find at least S+ guys out in the field now, not sure about S++.
Aren't the S+ guys boasters? In reality they're only S rank.
So some guy keeps retaliating against me on repetition and he finally got in while I was vulnerable, I accidentally had s ranks on the base and he stole 18 s rank guards managed to get them all back without opening a revenge wormhole [editline]8th October 2015[/editline]
It's not a hindrance except for here. I admit that in the face of insane pragmatism, my preference is stupid, but I'm baffled to find out that the game actually functions differently in slow motion.
nah it's just guards in reflex mode give you extra time and so does the camera and uav, uav and cams have faster reactions. It's not different it's just not realistic to assume you can kill them in time. With the UAVs in reaction you gotta hit em right in the eye or it'll alert still
Nevermind my "I only get frustrated when" post, I get frustrated when teammates get stupid in general. I just lost a bounty match because I went to assist a teammate by fultoning a bounty 7 guy while he was busy defending the spot(He would've gotten killed if he tried it) The way we lost was because the fucking idiot walked over and shot the guy in the head because he wouldn't get the bounty extracted points from it(this amount of bounties would have actually saved our ticket count). Why is everyone in this community so against actually working as a team?
I feel like I got lucky with rescuing those guys cuz two different snipers spotted me and my shotgun blasts from far away in both situations managed to severely injure one and knock the other off a ledge.
You don't need it, you can find at least S+ guys out in the field now, not sure about S++.
I've already said it before I'll say it again. Boasters function properly now. They are NOT S+ soldiers. They are boasters.
Anyone on PS4. EST? Add me even if you aren't, SGT-Spartans
So do you eventually get a stun assault rifle or shotgun with infiltrator? I've never been a fan of the tranq pistol.

TPP feels significantly less...real. It's also much less dense, and nothing really happens that matters for most of the game. There are about five 5 minute cutscenes that I remember liking, and I'm almost done with the game. And since they're such a big part of MGSV, I'll talk about cassettes, because compared to PW, they're a joke. The vast majority of them feel like wikipedia type articles that happen to be read by the same voice actors. I completely stopped paying attention to anything [sp]code talker had to say about the parasites because I was fucking sick and tired of these stupid parasites. I would legitimately rather them just say "magic" because that's what it feels like they're saying and that seems to be all that they paid this boring old, stereotypical elder native american man to talk about and I am legitimately not interesting in hearing about what new meaningless plot twist these rule-less magicians have done next. The only thing they did for the game (so far) was provide background for the quarantine executions, letting BB say more than 4 words and making for a cutscene that actually created a sense of meaning.[/sp] PW had a huge amount of world building and interesting and funny tapes and TPP has almost nothing to do with MB, daily life, etc, and there aren't any characters, so the very few tapes that are actually interesting are all from Miller, usually in the form of a painfully written interview for exposition for a single mission (that usually doesn't matter and feels outside of the realm of the player's existence or control) and nothing else. I fully expected TPP to be like GZ and I was disappointed that it wasn't. I've said it before but it's really lame that they couldn't follow through with a full size game that felt like GZ. As an aside, realizing how Ocelot shouldn't really be a Diamond Dog at all really takes me out of it, along with the boobshots. It makes me wonder if I'm the target audience anymore. [Sp]sorry to be so salty and awkward (the latter being because I'm on my phone) because lately I've been liking the direction more, particularly with the quarantine scene and Quiet (and they finally kicked Hitler out holy FUCK), and I've enjoyed the game a lot even if I'm starting to get jaded, but a lot of things feel... missing. Thin. Not right.[/sp]
So do you eventually get a stun assault rifle or shotgun with infiltrator? I've never been a fan of the tranq pistol.
You can get a stun shotgun but it's not silenced, so be careful. There is a silenced version but you need 71 R&D for it which is insane.
You can get a stun shotgun but it's not silenced, so be careful. There is a silenced version but you need 71 R&D for it which is insane.
I was referring to Metal Gear Online, I should've been more clear about that.
It's really bizarre how MGO can quickly swing me from having fun to being absolutely fucking livid. It's really strange because I don't really get mad at online games as much as this one.
