It's really bizarre how MGO can quickly swing me from having fun to being absolutely fucking livid. It's really strange because I don't really get mad at online games as much as this one.
It's the community that gets me honestly. One minute I'm having fun the next I'm yelling at the screen because a guy either watched me get fultoned without doing anything, killing someone I knocked out to fulton, or some other form of bullshit. Sometimes connection issues get me too like when I'm CQCing someone but on their end they're not CQC'd so they unload a mag into my chest in the middle of the animation.
You can get a stun shotgun but it's not silenced, so be careful. There is a silenced version but you need 71 R&D for it which is insane.
......did you never rescue the gun smiths????? Dude.
The thing that gets me mad most at the moment probably is the lag, its the same as MGO2, i'm either behind cover and get shot straight through it.......or in the case of MGO3 i dive behind the cover but somehow still get shot.
or in the case of MGO3 i dive behind the cover but somehow still get shot.
Or you kill someone and their corpse caps you. It's like I'm playing in the 90s.
I sure do hope they delayed the PC version of MGO3 so they could implement dedicated servers (even though that shouldn't take them 2 months)
If they don't the game is going to die within a few months. P2P only really works for games like Payday 2 and Vermintide.
Sorry for being the kind of person that makes these posts, since we have ratings for this, but I cannot agree more and I'm surprised that it's not brought up nearly as much. TPP feels significantly less...real. It's also much less dense, and nothing really happens that matters for most of the game. There are about five 5 minute cutscenes that I remember liking, and I'm almost done with the game. And since they're such a big part of MGSV, I'll talk about cassettes, because compared to PW, they're a joke. The vast majority of them feel like wikipedia type articles that happen to be read by the same voice actors. I completely stopped paying attention to anything [sp]code talker had to say about the parasites because I was fucking sick and tired of these stupid parasites. I would legitimately rather them just say "magic" because that's what it feels like they're saying and that seems to be all that they paid this boring old, stereotypical elder native american man to talk about and I am legitimately not interesting in hearing about what new meaningless plot twist these rule-less magicians have done next. The only thing they did for the game (so far) was provide background for the quarantine executions, letting BB say more than 4 words and making for a cutscene that actually created a sense of meaning.[/sp] PW had a huge amount of world building and interesting and funny tapes and TPP has almost nothing to do with MB, daily life, etc, and there aren't any characters, so the very few tapes that are actually interesting are all from Miller, usually in the form of a painfully written interview for exposition for a single mission (that usually doesn't matter and feels outside of the realm of the player's existence or control) and nothing else. I fully expected TPP to be like GZ and I was disappointed that it wasn't. I've said it before but it's really lame that they couldn't follow through with a full size game that felt like GZ. As an aside, realizing how Ocelot shouldn't really be a Diamond Dog at all really takes me out of it, along with the boobshots. It makes me wonder if I'm the target audience anymore. [Sp]sorry to be so salty and awkward (the latter being because I'm on my phone) because lately I've been liking the direction more, particularly with the quarantine scene and Quiet (and they finally kicked Hitler out holy FUCK), and I've enjoyed the game a lot even if I'm starting to get jaded, but a lot of things feel... missing. Thin. Not right.[/sp]
The story's pacing falls apart at first 10-15 missions. I barely even remember what I was doing all other 20 or so missions. Most of time it felt like I was doing side ops with special dialogues from Kaz or Ocelot. At the end I felt like I should've been fighting with Soviet General instead of Skullface, because oh boy how many soldiers I've killed or fultoned. I really want to like this game, but I just can't. You can really tell that something has happened during polish period and something might have caused everything story related problems.
I still love the game because stealth games are my thing and this one is the most complex one yet. I do agree with the GZ and TPP comparison. Even though GZ had only couple of cutscenes it had this dense atmopshere and gave you high hopes for TPP, your quest for revenge and Skull Face.
Metal Gear Online feels like a crappy Nexus remake of MGS.
Is it me or does the map design in MGO feel a lot more Metal Gear-y? Like they all feel like places I'd really like infiltrating on my own, or even more Metal Gear-y versions of locations from Phantom Pain.

I got my $60 out of it.
(mission 20) http://www.twitch.tv/animeilluminati/v/19062793?t=03h36m15s Jiyuna, dude, I don't mind you being bad at fighting games since you've placed decently in tournaments, but this shit I can't deal.
A guy did Back Up, Back Down (Extreme) done with all objectives in one go god damn, he makes it look easy
Haha, figures he's Japanese. That's very impressive.
Man I'm pissed that I cant get shotguns on the scout class, I realise that yeah it's the sniper class but I like the design of the class costume stuff more than the others. [editline]8th October 2015[/editline] also not being able to change the class of your SP avatar after you've selected it is frustrating, I want to make him an enforcer but I'm stuck with a infiltrator [editline]8th October 2015[/editline] NOW MY OTHER TWO CHARACTERS HAVE DISAPPEARED WHAT THE HELL. R.I.P Level 24 scout. This game is fucked on last gen
Allowing teammates to shoot down enemies you Fulton was the stupidest fucking design choice they could have made. I would be having so much more fun with this if 90% of the fucking matches I get into didn't have an asshole very obviously shooting down team fultons on purpose or killing people that are being fultoned.
This is my new hobby
Well hey, at least Gene's boss fight isn't a massive let down like Edge Fox's I had fun fighting him, plus the music pretty sweet. And that shotgun just straight up annihilates him. I should really try a non-lethal run on him.

Like ready your gun and then go left or right while firing your weapon. The same goes for dodging his dash attack, because you'll be able to hit him right after his dash attack, since your locked on to him. I played this a really long time ago, so I'm a bit rusty on the game, but that's how I beat him.
So tacticool. [T]https://pp.vk.me/c625728/v625728940/57b50/6HQ4PaAjTJk.jpg[/T] I've been mostly playing with Japanese players and they are... Well, random. I had one team that had solid teamwork and decent skill. We steamrolled through 5 matches and then I decided to go back into freemode to customize my character. After that I've been getting some very stupid ones. Ones that do not help if fultoned, stuned, cqc hold-upped, etc. Occasionally I do get teams with one or two good players but they seem so rare. Enemy, on the other hand, is very rarely staffed with D-level players.
I really wish the fucking dissappearing blueprint bug would get patched The G44 fake Famas shall forever elude me
I really wish the fucking dissappearing blueprint bug would get patched The G44 fake Famas shall forever elude me
You have no idea how pissed I would have been if this had happened to me. Its my go to lethal assault rifle. Too bad the underbarrel shotgun looks so wonky, so I just stick to the non russian grenade launcher.
The fulton punch is so ridiculous lmao.
I really wish the fucking dissappearing blueprint bug would get patched The G44 fake Famas shall forever elude me
All these fucking bugs in the game are so bad. These are the bugs you do not want in a game!!!
Haha, figures he's Japanese. That's very impressive.
He's pretty good.
Are there already hackers? I spent an entire round, no matter where I spawned, being killed through walls by the same guy as soon as my spawn invincibility went down. The hit direction indicator always indicated the opposite direction.
Especially with all that shit of how Skullface got the introduction heroes get and Snake got the villain intro
to be fair, knock out all of the scenes of snake swimming and GZ is just the same opening as MGS1. liquid is the first character we hear speak outside of flashbacks, and snake gets his first major opening while riding the elevator.
I like that mosquitos private army also has the initials MSF MSF has a hard life
