Lol they nerfed FOB rewards. The Konami hate train is driving itself.
i thought there was supposed to be a period of time when our FOB rewards were higher than normal? so did they just rescind this bonus?
The XP boost went active a few hours ago.
MGO 3 needs a few patches but, really im liking it. Fucking miss Lethal headshots something ferice though.
I kinda wished something special would happen if you tried to infiltrate mosquito's Base with mosquito
(Reflex mode triggered) CONTACT... oh, wait, welcome home boss (Staff moral increased)
This is something I so desperately wanted in TPP.
When MGSO gets released on PC, could someone not mod it into SP as a replacement for the standard sneaking suit?

Tbh you could probably mod something in color wise right now, decompile the packs, edit the texture, then recompile it. They did it for Ground Zeroes so it should work the same way. Issue is I want to be able to change it on the fly. There just feels like very little variation in the game compared to previous installments for customization on the player. You get 9 camo choices, 3 extra suits, and 2 more pieces of headgear for two of those 3 suits. If you're playing as Snake you get a bandanna or nothing.
Uh oh...
I swear I was just merging two LUA mods together and unintentionally did this.

All I get is a game over if I kill him. I don't know how this happened.
Mission 22 spoilers: [sp]In mission 22, some of your R&D team are taken hostage, and rescuing them gives them the cross. Just send your entire R&D team to the waiting room, and replace them with 6 people you want to have the cross. Play the mission and be sure to fulton all the hostages. It doesn't seem to work 100% of the time though. Some people just don't show up as hostages for some reason.[/sp]
Wow, does it work [sp]if said 6 people were under direct contract?[/sp]

Actually I think it's a spamming cool down
I noticed the thing that usually is yellow w/ 1.0 is now red with 0.2
Retaliating gives old rewards though.
This is what I get for spamming mosquito for fuel

Yes from what I can tell, but flaming buffalo didn't spawn, I think they got replaced though but I've only done this once because moving everyone to waiting room is a lot of setup

Speaking of I'd love a mod to wear the infinity bandana (at least it's effect, would prefer it be invisible) on raiden costume and on deploy guys.
Infinity bandanna just too useful for open world to use anything else imo
You think that's bad? I wasted 600k GMP researching that then she left when it was a few minutes away from completion
you have my condolences. but [sp]if you're on PC, you can mod her back in.[/sp]
Forget what I said about Mission 43, it's mission 45 that breaks my heart.
Heh.
Guy invades my fob, starts climbing a ladder, when he gets to the top he sees me aiming at him with a shotgun, then he goes flying off my platform due to knockback.
Get off my platform.
So I invaded an fob. After I'd already fulton'd every single guard, the guy hops in and defends. I just wait with a sniper aimed at the spawn point and kill him as soon as he spawns, then run to the goal. I would have been fucking pissed if it were me. I actually felt bad. He lost gmp, heroism, and espionage points and there was literally nothing he could have done. I'm having fun with fobs, but they're really really not well thought out.

Doubt I'll be doing anything like this again any time soon.
Stealth camo seriously looks like the biggest pain in the ass to deal with in mgo3.
Some say it's plain as day to see them, but honestly I must be blind or they must always be swiping me from off-camera like any other player could. Because while it's obvious to see a stealther sprinting around like a jackass, it's still a pain in the ass to fight them. Especially if their loadout is an S rank in speed.
Stealth camo works except when you or your teammates use it

Even when they're trying to depict crazy gameplay, they still managed to assume that players are playing fair.
Stealth camo works except when you or your teammates use it
This is sadly accurate :v
Stealth camo is good enough that if you stand still or move slowly, people will usually miss you from afar, and a lot of the time even if they're passing right by you, paying attention to other things, but if someone's (or you are) looking for people in stealth camo, it can be really easy to spot. I've been able to point out enemies in stealth camo crouch walking from all the way across the map, and I've also been obliterated by people who seemingly materialize out of thin air, it really just depends on circumstance.

There's a few tells, they still cast a shadow for example.

I'm not even all that upset about stealth camo really only being effective when being still. I just wish that camo wasn't something you had to buy and on top of that, it's not something you can choose at the beginning of a match so I always stand out no matter where I play
1hk headshots turned mgo2 into a total shitfest, on top of the absolutely bonkers korean f2p game level of grind and shitty nearly 100% japanese pro gamer community.
It was an absolute shitfest, but I loved it anyway.

its like halo 3 camo
you can see people running with it from across the map but people still dont notice me when prone and still
its like halo 3 camo

And that's the way it should be
If it really is like halo I wonder how much easier to deal with it will be on PC with all the high res setups and AA

Plus in the preview vid camo was visible in NVG. Still true?
The best strrategy in MGO is to just keep moving all the time. If you stay in one place too long, chances are you'll get knocked out and fultoned.

As a scout, my biggest worry with the camping strategy is actually getting firebombed by infiltrators. This is because I basically have a perimeter of snares surrounding me at all times so I actually deliberately camp in order to lure infiltrators into my CQC. Firebombs explode on impact which is fucking OP because as far as I can tell, rolling doesn't actually help with putting it out. I have no idea how to deal with those little bastards because camping is part of my Scout M.O.
