As clever as it is, I REALLY HATE that [sp]you lose Quiet permanently[/sp]
If there's one thing I hate in games, no matter the story reason, it's losing major things permanently.
It's why when I played Fable 3 and I chose the good route, I was pissed that [sp]a huge portion of villagers and quests and things were gone, with no way to get them back[/sp].
[sp]Losing Quiet[/sp] makes missions INFINITELY harder, and all the money and cool things and outfits I put into it are gone.
[sp][EXTREME] Metallic Archaea is nearly impossible without Quiet. So you're screwed if you've lost her before finishing that mission.[/sp]
I feel like I'm the only one who never used Quiet

By then you should have the semi-auto AMR rifle which makes that mission a breeze.

D-Walker can still pull it off if you have max gatling ammo. You can also do it yourself with a Brennan, or use a tank you fultoned.
If your R&D is good, you can buy that "5 shot locking launcher" (starts with a C?) and kill them all with 4 shots and some grenade launcher shots.
how i would have done mission 46
[sp]similar to other missions where it triggers by going back to mb, ocelot greets you w/ a tape saying "the envelope was sent by "the man who sold the world", do you know what that means, boss?" with a transition to venom putting the tape into the player, transitioning to flashbacks of the hospital scene without all the tutorial gameplay bs left in, then playing out like it normally does[/sp]
[sp]Personally I would've taken the assets of the hospital prologue, severely abridge and skip around as if it's remembering tidbits, while lines from the tape play in the background as Big Boss' words trigger brief memory spurts that unravel the true memories. Then in a small crisis of identity, we stumble through a disjointed, hallucinatory version of the hospital where Ishmael and Ahab's true faces periodically show, as does the Man on Fire's, and it's more akin to a dream sequence straight out of Max Payne than anything else while Big Boss' narration plays in the background.[/sp]

speaking of CGM: the listed damage is damage of each individual projectile, right?
A neat unlock for beating the game should be [sp]the ability to play as your avatar[/sp] in the "Character" selection.
Now that you know the truth, why SHOULDN'T that be allowed?

If i remember correctly, a full locked on burst will either completely stun an armored Skull or bring him down to a pixel of health.
you can though?
You can? I've not seen this option anywhere.

[sp]I wish something actually lead up to mission 46, in chapter 2 the story sort of trails off and then it just pops up out of nowhere.[/sp]

Once you clear the mission it should unlock. If it didn't you may've had the save bug or something.

Thanks all.
If there's one thing I hate though, it's the lack of hairstyle options.
I wanted to make an old man, but the most I could do is make him look like a worse Old Snake.

[sp]I was actually pretty annoyed at that point. I'd just replayed the hospital mission to for the objectives, so sitting through the same exact (almost) thing again got old quick. I was afraid I'd miss something new if I skipped cutscenes, too.[/sp]
I feel like I'm the only one who never used Quiet
Once you get her a suppressed rifle she's great and all but D-Dog 4lyfe
Maybe I'm the only one thinking this but does anyone else wish Quiet can get in a jeep with you while you drive somewhere such as going to a side op? It gets pretty lonely driving to a far location by yourself without having to have DD with you.
I rarely use Quiet because DD is where it's at. She just makes the game trivial.
Once enemies start getting helmets and riot gear, Quiet is useless anyways. She just shoots someone's helmet off and they immediately go alert because banging a helmet off is goddamn loud.
She basically turned into a distraction device for when I wanted to escape.
I wish Kojima had just come out and said "yeah I wanted a character wearing not much" instead of trying to come up with some reason why she's like that
the point of quiet is to offend people. Kojima wanted to invent a new and unique way of showing how war is hell.
That reminds me of this.
Was doing the [sp]Total Stealth version of extracting the bio engineer[/sp]
Got down to the cell, picked him up, enemy 7m away.
Ask DD to stun him, DD runs past and takes out an enemy in the middle of camp 30m away, alerting the camp and bringing them all to the cell to spot me.

Her lesser sniper rifles ping the helmet off, and the guard will call out to alert everyone. It's better with that scenario to call out her shots manually and then finish them off yourself.
Once you develop her final sniper rifle, though, she's basically packing a Brennan which means that whether it's a helmet or a Riot Suit, she will kill everyone in a single shot.
Hopefully MGO will have more customization and that will flow back into SP.
Man I'm not so sure about MGO, to be honest.
I think it would get old really quickly, but I'd have to play to know I guess.

I'd laugh if we could make female avatars for SP with MGO's release.

It doesn't look as fun as MGO1, but still looks better than most modern multiplayer shooters.
I hope that they eventually release the design document of The Phantom Pain like they did with Sons of Liberty or that the design document leaks somehow. Would be interesting to see how much of the game was changed or cut altogether.
My second monitor finally decided to start working again today.
Now I can play MGSV on one while having a picture of Ocelot's mug on the other.
