So did anyone notice the subtle retcon that the area of the Soviet Union you played in during MGS3 was Tselinoyarsk, not just the cliffs where The Boss threw BB into the river?
I think that the idea that Zanzibar Land is actually Tselinoyarsk might be legit after noticing that that.
The cliffs you start at are the ones near the famous ladder, the main base you infiltrate during the first half before the tower was maybe the area right before you meet The Fury, the tower was built over top the area where Grozynj Grad used to stand, the bridge thats destroyed that you have to hang glide over in MG2 was the one the Shagohod went over in MGS3, and the second half of the base and where you run to in the end is further down, ending at the field where the final boss fight was.

I think it's been all but confirmed. Big Boss had 15 years to set it up between TPP and Metal Gear 2.

Speaking of Tselinoyarsk, put that into google and look at image results with safe search off.

After every enemy soldier in the universe suddenly has a helmet or riot suit, I decided to use sleep grenades. Now they have gas masks.
:why:
It's official.
My next Youtube project will be a 1:1 recreation of this montage set during the jeep ride.

So, i realized this only recently but, you know the Dispatch Missions/Outer Ops?
You know the ones with the icons? Read their descriptions.
You can send your guys on dispatch missions in order to sabotage transportation of equipment like helmets, gas masks, armor, mounted weaponry, decoys, and shields. This actually prevents enemies from using them ingame.
Isn't the first rifle stronger?
Maybe, but the second is semi-auto which makes it (IMO) a better choice.
I'd like to see a SFM version of the hamburger tapes

My problem with the enemy awareness in this game is that they don't actually adapt dynamically it feels. It just seems more like the further you get in the game by way of play, the more everything stacks the odds against you until you do combat deployments to briefly push them back a notch, but then they'll be back up in a side-op or two and they don't really seem to affect missions much at all.
There's still many ways I can adapt to situations but it feels like a cheap modifier being stacked up repeatedly.

But still you can't get rid of the snipers sometimes...

Already doing that, still doesn't help much in apartment helmets and riot suits for me anymore.

So ive been thinking, Psycho Mantis is the most powerful fucking thing in the Metal Gear universe, how did he ever lose?
Seriously, just listing his abilities, he could've fucked over anyone in the franchise, including Armstrong.
Telekinesis.
Pyrokinesis.
Mind reading.
Mind control.
Flight.
Teleportation.
Intangibility.
Force waves.
Changing the channel.
[editline]26th September 2015[/editline]
Like the only reason i can think of for him losing in MGS1 is he was far weaker compared to his MGSV self because he was literally mind controlling every single Genome soldier on Shadow Moses island at the same time for possibly days on end.

How the hell did he (Prologue spoiler, so uh, finish that) [sp]summon a lightning bolt?[/sp] :v:???
Kojima got some bad obsession with mantis after mgs3. His appearance in mgs4 was so fucking shoehorned in. In MGSV he's cool but yeah its way contradictory to what he was in MGS1.
Basically Kojima brought him back twice for no reason and it feels weird.

I'd expect her to stop giving cover fire, just like how I can tell her to GIVE cover fire...

You can tell her to stop though.
Don't you hate it when you cimb up some wall and just want to go prone again, but you stand up and get spotted. This happened to me so many times..
Does anybody know if combat staff abilities are more potent than the prosthetic versions that Venom Snake uses? I know the Botanist ability is. Snake's version gives you 20 units per plant, whereas a Botanist gives you 25 per plant, not a huge difference, but still more.

[Sp]Apparently children's minds are far more powerful than adult's. And you're probably right about the genome soldiers thing too.[/sp]
