Tried filling my security team with nothing but women and none of them show up on the FOB. Pretty bummed out because I wanted to try to do something different and filling the ranks would've given me something else in the game to do.
Guess it'll go back to being the dumpster for shit soldiers like everyone else's now :saddowns:

Are you sure your security settings don't call for soldiers more skilled than your female soldiers? I've heard that if your security team doesn't make the cut the game will automatically steal from your Combat Unit. Plus I've seen women on FOB's before so that should've worked.

At the start there, you seemed to get out of D-Walker before aiming- was that a glitch, or can you actually remote control the guy?
On a different note, how does the base development thing work? I've gathered my materials back, and I'm waiting for them to process, but I don't know whether it's just to wait and see or if there's a way I can speed it up.

Nah I just cut the video to save some time, you can hear the music change and everything [sp]also I missed my first ballista shot[/sp] :saddowns:
With BD there's two material pools, unprocessed and processed materials - I [I]think[/I] unprocessed materials are the ones you find in the field and on your FOB in the big containers, while processed are 'locked' and can't be stolen. I think.
Processing will speed up as you level up BD

I have a bunch of unprocessed in my inventory, and my BD is at level 60, so I guess it should be quicker. Kinda wish there was a timer on it, though.

I'm actually curious as to how a 60FPS, smoothed and actually touched-up in terms of model quality remaster of MGS4 would be like, because while the game looks great by PS3 standards it's not even ten years old yet and it's starting to show its age.

there's this weird delay whenever you do things like change your FOB color, steal nukes, and change security settings/personnel that just don't take affect right away.

But games generally show their age before they're 10 years old, it's obvious after just a few years. Look at the other games of 2008, MGS4 is great in comparison.
(Except Crysis Warhead but that was ahead of its time.)
