I've actually just been grinding the Hellbound mission for fuel right now. In the little area near where you start there's 7500 fuel, 500 PM, and thousands of MM or CM or something in the hangar. You need a wormhole fulton to get them out, but you can do that, read the intel file there, go back to the last checkpoint, then return to ACC to keep your stuff. Takes like 5 minutes. It's grindy, but you need so much fuel to max out your platforms.
I just steal all my fuel from low level FOBs. It processes much more quickly online and I get tons of processed when I login.
I want a naked sneaking suit variant. Sneaking pants.
I found out a neat animation cancel glitch using the "WU S.PISTOL" letting you shoot much faster than normal, it's pretty pointless but I hope it could be of use to someone, so I recorded a video of it. I'm pretty sure this doesn't contain any spoilers whatsoever, but if you don't want to see it you don't have to. I've tried doing the same glitch using a bolt action sniper rifle but I ended up just cocking the bolt over and over so I guess it only works for one gun. Edit: Turns out it works with revolvers too! There might be other guns that work so just try it out yourself.

It'd be best to just use the tranq burkov.
I was thinking about the cut ending/mission. It's good that it wraps up the two biggest loose ends. Well, one actually. [sp]vocal cord parasite is destroyed but DD again take the metal gear with them though it looks way more fucked up this time. Maybe they use the remains to build the one in MG1.[/sp] But even then it doesn't feel like a good, final ending. It only feels like we solved another problem. The game's main story really ends after mission 31 (I think it could have been slightly better). The couple of missions after deal with the aftermath but it's all quickly glued together. Yeah, the story needed less empty spaces, especially chapter 2.
It'd be best to just use the tranq burkov.
Too bad I hate its irons sights. Just a big block of metal in your face, can't see shit with it.
The mobility of being naked with the silent footsteps of a sneaking suit.
I read this in Ocelot's voice for some reason.
i am not good with FOBs.
i am not good with FOBs.
Failure is normal. Failure becomes less of a problem if you bring a riot shield and HAIL MGR-4
I've made a point to retaliate against anyone that invades my FOBs with extra lethal force.
Failure is normal. Failure becomes less of a problem if you bring a riot shield and HAIL MGR-4
Nonlethal. Tryin to play Superman. Also whoever suggested square was wrong holy shit that works a lot worse than my sneaking suit.
Nonlethal. Tryin to play Superman. Also whoever suggested square was wrong holy shit that works a lot worse than my sneaking suit.
Wear a battle dress. FOBs can be stealthed, but you're more likely to be spotted the better the security you face. Once that happens, being armored helps you out a ton. As well, if you want to play non-lethal, bring in grenades and mines, use a riot shield + riot SMG to protect yourself from bullets and put a stun grenade launcher in your first slot or the UN ARC.
Is there no Lisa decoy in the game? I really wanted that.
managed to pull off a sick ass shot on a bird (end game spoilers) [sp]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-28ZdqPlheQ[/sp]
Major story spoilers throughout.
The only cut content in that which makes me mad is [sp]NOT BEING ABLE TO USE THE FUCKING BATTLE GEAR![/sp]
Failure is normal. Failure becomes less of a problem if you bring a riot shield and HAIL MGR-4
Speaking of shields, I keep wondering what are the best uses for them. And why can't I bash or run with my shield up like in the TPP MGO showcase? Would have made it a lot more useful. Especially since enemies can do that against you. Tho I like that it still protects your back, even if you're carrying someone.
Dumb idea I had for FOBs: Soundbytes from various people you could have play for the other person at the end. Revolver saying "You're pretty good", maybe Kaz going on about vengance, and [sp]Paz saying "Say Peace!"[/sp] it's mainly an excuse because i'd really want to use the last one when stealing nukes to decomission but :v:
Wear a battle dress. It seems like stun guns can't do shit against them.

Sadly, there are no CQC functions while you have the riot shield out. [editline]27th September 2015[/editline]
What should I use for UAVs? You can put a lethal underbarrel onto the UN ARC, or if you want to go with the lethal bullet way of dealing with UAVs, use the M4 and equip it with an underbarrel stun (I believe that is an allowable customization, if you have it) [editline]27th September 2015[/editline] I'm not the best at FOBs, but I love playing them. Successfully infiltrating an FOB is only a plus to causing damage.

You just have to have the grenade launchers developed, is all. By damage I mean stealing resources, extracting decent soldiers, etc etc. Damage is good, it's what you're meant to do to an FOB. But some people don't play nice if you do that, so I can understand playing it safe.
Woohoo today is the special day and I've been holding out on watching this certain cutscene... wait this isn't my special cutscene...: [vid]https://d.maxfile.ro/zaqcvtnehr.webm[/vid] (I wasn't planing on recording but shadowplay was already running so I ended up making a short video anyway, sorry about the microphone quality I also didn't realize at the time that my shitty webcam somehow became the default mic) Also SPOILERS this vid has three separate cutscenes, the major one is from post mission 31.
So i told my friend about the customization glitch and he decided to try and see if it works on an FOB mission. It did, and he went from having trouble making any progress on a guy with really good security to blowing guys away with a 100 mag grenade launcher and a grenade pistol that shoots bullets with the force of grenades.

I've ran into a few people who do that in FOBs and it's just not fun at all.
You just have to have the grenade launchers developed, is all. And if you go straight for the core and don't kill/fulton enemies, they can't fight back. Call me a coward, but it works. Now and then I can even get nukes, have the alarm go off, and still make it out without a wormhole. When you said have the launchers researched, you meant specifically the stun one right?
I don't even know why they give you the option of a lethal version of the WU.S Pistol besides out of weapon preference. Also fuck the [sp]puppets[/sp] when they wear riot suits. I literally got sick of those assholes in the side-ops and brought my 100 shot silenced railgun rocket launcher to blow them away.

Sleep rounds are better than stun, as the stun status doesn't last as long as sleep. As well, the only time an enemy is allowed to retaliate against you is if your infiltration is discovered. I go into FOBs and lob my grenade launcher and don't get spotted, steal all resources, blow some other stuff up, capture the FOB and the enemy cannot retaliate because my infiltration was not detected.

Having CQC options to the riot shields would be great.

Thanks for the tip! To me it's just a big risk/not enough reward thing. Now and then I'll fulton something but I prefer knowing that if the alarm goes off I have a chance of getting off scott-free as opposed to "Stealth or die" from then on.
Most of the players who have FOBs don't partake actively in retaliations or otherwise simply because they don't have decent gear or are too afraid of the FOB component of the game. I've posted earlier that I generally invade FOBs simply for the resources (which are extremely plentiful on the Base development platform) as these FOB resources are processed online and then given to you in processed format once you log in. As I mentioned above, even if you don't steal a single thing yet you do get spotted and discovered, you can still be retaliated against. While it would be silly for someone to retaliate against you even though you've stolen nothing, it can happen. That said, invest heavily into your Base Security. Stock higher level soldiers into your Security Team. The higher the ranks, the more quickly they'll react to player nuisance and are more likely to engage an intruder once they've been spotted. I absolutely love the FOB component of the game, but that's because I like to ruin other peoples' days from time to time.
