i seriously want to meet the person who came up with the idea of UAVs for FOBs
fuck, i thought these assholes were bad enough in MGS2.
Or more accurately: we should hate the asshole that designed FOB invasions as though you unlock them at mission 5 when you don't actually unlock them until 30 hours into the game when you already have A++ out the ass and can research every single FOB defense instantly.
Also fucking EOD suits. So much artistic talent wasted on equipping every single dude in a fucking balloon suit.
I'd like to meet the guy who thought it was a great idea to let you have sleep gas everywhere on your base but not let you research a fucking gas mask.
At least have it auto equip one if your base is full of sleep gas stuff.

I didn't even develop security measures until post-game because I didn't bother with security team.
Infact I can't even make UAVs because I have 194 men of 200 allowed in my security team and it's literally level 22, 2 levels below 24 for UAV development - but I don't want to let these low-rank shitlords back into my other units since they're packed as it is.
Honestly I'm just close to giving up on FOBs in general.
I try and try and try but I get my shit rocked no matter how hard I try. It's frustrating as hell and I'm just not having fun anymore with them. If anything they make me feel like shit because of how bad I preform; my win loss ratio is fucking less than half.
I hate PVP in games in general so idk what I was thinking.

why is it a new internet trend for everyone to make 15+ minute videos of why the latest video game isnt as good as you hoped
[editline]27th September 2015[/editline]
like legit it seems to happen with every major release that comes out lately

Well you see, reviews of videogames tend to come out when the videogame is released.
These reviews can be about good and bad things in the game, and due to how big the internet is, bad ones inevitably are made, and tend to come out when dealing with a popular videogame.
If you get every vehicle, you get a "bonus" round with tanks and an attack chopper.
The problem with that is that the game sometimes randomly decides to only send 1 chopper and 2 tanks making the last objective impossible to complete.

The internet is full of cynics and critics.
The guy does have a number of good points, but his sheer negativity combined with this sort of 'everything about this game really sucks' tone really annoys the hell out of me, especially when he says the game is comparable to Metroid: Other M.
Fuck that noise.
Sure there was some stuff missing in this game, and that was a bummer, but you gotta look at everything you DID get instead of reflecting on what you DIDN'T get.

Ah, the standard "modder ragequit" of the Gamebryo engine.

Wtf? Don't you cull by rank? By the time I had FOBs my minimum rank for staying at MB was B and now it's A+ ~mission 40.
It's not worth keeping the low rank dudes, and only Aish and above can properly defend FOBs anyway.
Acording to Guillermo del Toro, the famous horror mangaka Junji Ito was going to work on Silent Hills.

This kills me. Junji Ito is one of my favourite authors and artists ever.
Wtf? Don't you cull by rank? By the time I had FOBs my minimum rank for staying at MB was B and now it's A+ ~mission 40.

Apparently it was because of that and, supposedly, companies "frown on" parody works.
AKA they're fucking dumb.

Just trade them with some guys from the combat unit and send them off on missions where they may or may not get massacred
Your soldiers live and die by your order

Because MB fills up really fast? I've been within 10 of max capacity since before FOBs. It's better for your teams to be a single level lower than their max possible and for new extractions (likely 1 or 2 ranks above your self imposed minimum) to be instantly put into their best team than for new extractions to be dumped into the combat team or, worse a random other team, for you to have to go manually find and place properly.

I've culled some, but I basically reached the point where I don't need a fully-developed set of ace groups to get everything I really needed. All I have left are D-Walker's equipment (i've not used it at all so no big deal there), the [sp]full stealth camo with battery,[/sp], the UAVs in security equipment, and apparently i'm missing the fulton suit for D-Dog but the game's said I developed all D-Dog equipment?

Eh, I have some A++, and a lot of A+s in my security team and it's level 47 and not even full so idk.

No, guys are constantly being shifted around to new units as you bring in new guys. I haven't manually assigned anyone at all and my teams are filled with A-S people with their best skills, while B and lower are all sitting in the waiting room.
Odd. In my experience, high skill members have their skills wasted unless I manually cull the C-As off the bottom. Maybe it's just in my head?
[editline]27th September 2015[/editline]
I guess worst case scenario, I have been manually cultivating my MB almost exactly the same as it would have been automatically. I was under the impression that the waiting room couldn't permanently store anyone.
Do you have direct contracts on the guys at the bottom or something? I think that makes them not get autoshifted.
Edit: Nevermind I said a dumb, you said you were firing them.
Phew, only 5 missions left to finish the all tasks goal. Most of them want me to listen to NPCs talking so I'm preparing for pretty boring gameplay. I was about to quit for today when suddenly I get a call to go back to Mother Base. [sp]Oh right, it was midnight and today is my birthday :).[/sp]

It's not only going to be boring, but RNG-based from what I heard; sometimes the guards won't quite be in the right positions to initiate the conversations, sometimes they'll walk up and not talk, and so much as initiating a small caution-alert or managing to distract the wrong person with noise can either waste a lot of time or outright cancel a conversation from happening.
Just encountered my first hacker, spawned in, everyone knocked out, knew exactly where I was and quit. Of course, being a complete pussy he made his name non-existent, why doesn't steam let me find the accounts of these hackers through the recent games list? What's the point of this report thing if hackers can just remove their name?
