She deleted all of her parody work because they were more popular then her normal stuff
From what I understand, it's more that tons of people were going "hey hiimdaisy you should go back to those 5 year old comics! They were great!" while she's busy doing original work, so she deleted the originals so people would stop bothering. Of course, this didn't stop people from asking, but at least there's mirrors posted everywhere so no one's missing out. In the end, her comedy has changed, so even if she went back it wouldn't be the same. [sp]as someone who prefers original works like Cucumber Quest, I'm glad she's not going back.[/sp] On topic, I just ran through Phantom Limbs through only rocket punching and going around by box. Feels good.
Holy fuck the support platform's checkpoint. I found it only after I built that shit myself.
So that it's harder to know exactly when your enemy is online. When my name was "naked espionage man" I was ONLY attacked when offline. Now it's bird and it's 50/50. Dumb anecdote yeah, but that's why. [editline]27th September 2015[/editline] Ofc on consoles for some reason this isn't so.
If you're playing on PC you can just press the G key (or if you're using a controller like me, the reload button), and their steam community profile page will load up. Just have to get one last achievement, and that's build a nuke.
I think it was more because they didn't want to just be known for those parodies. That's why they changed their alias, too. They go by "Gigi D.G." now.
Now they can be known for nothing
Seeing as how mission 52 was supposed to have Snake taking a hit to the head and being unable to distinguish red from white and white from red, there was probably supposed to be a lot more stuff like that. It's hard to tell how much of the filler in the game was supposed to be there.
The red-white colorblindness happens in-game when you heal from a serious injury.
ENDGAME SPOILS [sp]I was thinking about a theoretical MGS6 where we follow real!Boss on his trip to south africa, and in my head it seems like a combination of Portable Ops and MGS4- a more linear game full of cutscenes showing Boss meeting all the characters he would have seen in this time (i.e. Sniper Wolf, Frank Jaegar), getting people to join him by grabbing them and taking them to a nearby base, eventually building up a base down south that he calls Outer Heaven. Hell, I wonder if he meets Huey, not knowing of his deeds at Diamond Dogs, and helps him to America with Frank Jaegar (and Naomi) in order to find and take care of Hal.[/sp]
The color blindness is actually extremely subtle in the prologue. The one part where they make it mandatory to affect you is a more blueish area so you might not even realize it's in effect unless you see the blood on your face.

I'm kind of disappointed we never got our Arkham Knight subplot of killing Skull Face partway through the game and him haunting Snake through shrapnel hallucinations the rest of the way
I'm kind of disappointed we never got our Arkham Knight subplot of killing Skull Face partway through the game and him haunting Snake through shrapnel hallucinations the rest of the way
Who knows? Chapter 2 and 3 could have been such a thing, but they ran out of time. Or maybe Kojima wanted the influence to be more hidden. Either way, agreed.

So someone's working on a Real Weapon Names mod and I actually left a comment to help them with it (the AM-MRS is not actually based off the M16, but rather the FN FNC). And for trivia's sake, I think that makes this the first mainline Metal Gear game since MGS1 to not have an M16/M4/other equivalent in it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obj9ymFjtLE
Just needs to replace Snake with Code Talker and it's perfect.

I just switched my FOB to non-lethal. What weapon type works best with non-lethal weaponry? I have it set to shotguns at the moment because it stands to reason that if I want my soldiers to Fulton someone, they should close the distance first, right? I don't have it set to mid range because rubber bullet guns don't seem too effective from my experience. Is my reasoning right here? What do you guys think is most effective?

The BDU for instance is very open so invaders can easily make short work of your security force before they're even in range. Command platform is very good for short range. You can train on your FOB to see what works and what doesn't
On the very open ones, A++ snipers will absolutely annihilate the careless invader. LTL shotties for everything else though. Shame that you can't choose weapon type on a platform-platform basis for some reason. Probably to prevent snipers on the last strut from killing everything without the other drawbacks. IMO, long range or short for lethal, short for LTL.

You know, we all figured it'd happen but after looking at MGS4 again, I realize that MGSV has an extreme lack of gunporn. Sure, the weapon customization could be considered such, but all you're doing is choosing a base, and then stick barrels, optics, magazines and accessories with some paint jobs onto it. And that's if your weapon is customizable enough in the first place to let you alter these things, and each weapon type has 3-5 base weapons that pad out your development with their individual ranks and variants. Peace Walker did something similar, but still. Meanwhile MGS4 had a crapton of guns for every category, far more than the average player was expected to use, as well as easter egg / fanservice guns, and detailed reload animations where Snake (or your online character) correctly handle them all. In MGSV every weapon of a type seems to use the same canned animations (besides bullpups, magazine-fed shotguns and grenade launchers for obvious reasons, and the Water Pistol which just sorta has Snake put it to his hip to refill the water) and minor tweaks for the animations to handle unusual magazines like the drum mags. I'm not even angry about fictional guns, but it feels like another knock against the game not feeling like Metal Gear.
I feel like I've missed a ton of Eli content I just cleared mission 30 and I've only ever seen him in the cutscene where he's hassling the diamond dog Isnr there one where he fucks with some kids necklace? Heads that one was cool I hope I didn't miss it
Question, to get [sp]mission 45/46, do I have to do the extreme/stealth only missions I have currently?[/sp]
Question, to get [sp]mission 45/46, do I have to do the extreme/stealth only missions I have currently?[/sp]
No, you can complete sideops. Although I think it might depend on how many you already have done, I only had to do a few. Also an important sideop leads right into mission 46. I won't spoil much for mission 46 but make sure you have a tankbuster missile launcher and the battledress otherwise it's going to be a lot harder than it needs to be and it's already a hard as fuck mission
No, you can complete sideops.
