Okay then the truest anti-tank weapon for the d-walker would be the fulton cannon.
Edit: Wow what the fuck ninja'd with a reply to me.
doesn't d-dog also get a fulton launcher, where the hell is it if the game's telling me I developed all of d-dog's gear but I only have the two sneaking suits for stun and kill, and the battle dress

He gets a fulton ability, not really a launcher, he can only fulton out dudes with it. And I think you need the fulton award to unlock it, like for D-Walker's fulton launcher. I think's fultoning 500 dudes for D-Dog's and 1000 for D-Walker's.

i apparently dont have it either, despite unlocking the ballista and fultoning well over 500 dudes?
The S-machete handles tanks pretty well too and it doesn't cost anything to deploy with. It's also a fun way to handle back up back down.

500 extractions unlocks the T3 fultons. 1000 is the F-ballista.

S-machete can attack tanks
:what:
A soldier merely got knocked out by one of my tank shells during a loud prisoner extraction, and he's got an S-rank.
Welcome to Diamond Dogs.
So after reading the plot synopsis on Wikipedia, (I have 0 intention of playing an MGS game), I have to wonder. With so many people like "No spoilers!", "You're worse than Hitler if you spoil MGSV!" ect. ect. what even was the point of showing us the events of the game? What details did they reveal about the events between MGS3 and the original Metal Gear that give new insight or perspective into them? What new did we learn about the character of Big Boss and Revolver Ocelot that Snake Eater didn't already establish? What interpretation of The Boss's Will was explored, if that's even a thing at all in this installment? Basically, why was the story to this game more important than spoiler tagging, say, Bowser kidnaps Peach? Seems they're on the same level to me.
Other than (ending spoiler) [sp]the very silly and largely inconsequential thing of there being a "clone" of Big Boss, who might as well not be for it adds to the future narrative. It just givens a different explanation to a previous case of Joker Immunity, which BB has had several before already.[/sp]

Takes a couple hits, but yeah. Trucks in 2 hits, light armor in 3, tanks in 4 or 5.

What about red tanks?
Fuck aforementioned red tanks.
Oh, I'll just chopper into a tank unit area, no big deal. Except I decide to intercept a chopper twice, it gets three snipers alerted to my location both times, and even when I handle them all I just poke my head around a corner and there's a tank shell in my face to instantly kill me.
The third time I literally just ignore the chopper until I land and my chopper distracts it, take it out one shot at a time so no one's alerted to my presence, murder every single sniper and son of a bitch in the side-op radius, and then deliver mortar justice one shot at a time to that red tank bastard.
What are these Red tanks everyone talks about? You guys mean Russian?
Red tanks?
The Eliminate the Tank Unit side-ops start putting in red tanks later on.
They're comparable to tanks from Mission 45 as far as I can tell.

:v:
During extreme missions and later side ops, some of the armored vehicles (even the helicopters) may be painted red. They typically OHK you with their primary weapon even on a glancing hit, and have far more HP.
Sounds like some good fulton targets.

maybe I just wasn't paying attention, weird
if you fulton a red tank, will you be able to deploy a red tank or will it turn into a regular tank?
How do I deal with mission 40?
[sp]She spots you instantly, she moves upon you marker her, when relocating she sees you instantly despite she did not before she moved, dropping supplies on her does not work.
Most at the times before I even can give her a shot she moves or instantly spots me. Not to mention, if you get shot once you are dead.[/sp]

Happy Birthday to me. :^) :toot:
This is actually... kinda touching.
drop in a tank and have fun
I spent 40 minutes and two APCs trying to kill Quiet that way and I just ended up dying, it fucking sucked.
Did it in 5 minutes first try with DD and a tranq sniper. Maybe a tank would have lasted me longer, but the real bitch was driving around trying to find her for five minutes after every hit I landed on her.

Just apply 12.7mm directly to the forehead as quickly as possible. Try to line up a shot before you come out of cover. Since third and first person aren't aligned, the easiest way to line it up from cover is to pick a landmark close to the target for reference.
Finally.
Thank god for battle armor. In retrospect I should have not used the water pistol in the end, otherwise I had 100% accuracy

If you want you can deploy with a pink or even a gold tank. But you can't have the same HP for it unfortunately.
I give up on this game, I just tried going through the extreme variant of [sp]code talker's mission and after being expected to deal with three hyper aware and accurate snipers that teleport, go invisible, insta kill you, and if you linger around too long trying to snipe them back, get bored and come one shot you with a machete, I've had it with this game.[/sp]
I'm all for a harder difficulty but jesus christ these missions are so harsh they seem enforce one particular playstyle and leave little to no room for error, and that sucks

First time around, complete the mission by[sp]going down the river till you find a crack that goes all the way up the cliff side (use NVG to easily spot) and sneak into the mansion as normal. When you come out with Code Talker all the soldiers will have turned into puppets, sneak 'em (there's quite a few in the back door area, I went to the front of the mansion) then make your way to the heli LZ, but watch out for the snipers (they're a lot easier to avoid, stay crouched and move slow) - you should get an S-rank.[/sp]
For the side objectives,[sp]Bring a Serval and stealth camo. You can easily come out and take ages to headshot them because they just can't see you.[/sp]

if you dont care about non lethal
[sp]get her to move from the spot on the arch[/sp]
then supply drop a tank/apc (or do it anytime as long as your quick about it)
whether you do it lethal or not doesn't matter [sp]because the cutscene determines whether she really dies or not[/sp]

There's two ways to deal with hard missions:
1. Get good
2. Try different approach
Both of these are better alternatives to complaining that a mission with EXTREME in it's title is too difficult
And no, there's several ways to get past them
