Everyone remember 40 is extreme and in it automatically moves when supplies drop onto. Dunno about these tank/apc tactis people keep saying. [editline]28th September 2015[/editline] I did it by just "sneaking" (running outside the field of vision) and then just tossing stun grenade and repeat, took was it only 4.
if you dont care about non lethal [sp]get her to move from the spot on the arch[/sp] then supply drop a tank/apc (or do it anytime as long as your quick about it) whether you do it lethal or not doesn't matter [sp]because the cutscene determines whether she really dies or not[/sp]

flank her
See: In out sniped her with a non lethal Tranq rifle. Tho suffered one shot at the very beginning.
Finally. Thank god for battle armor. In retrospect I should have not used the water pistol in the end, otherwise I had 100% accuracy [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/418063700266469093/85104C1D1734CB5490F65A82DF6B65B2C82496F9/[/t]
okay this has been bugging me. [sp]Going over the truth missions I really payed attention to big boss (ishamel) through every cut scene, and there was one thing that has been really throwing me off. Big boss collapses and pretends to die when the helicopter shoots through the windshield. It doesn't seem reasonable for boss to fake that and risk both his phantom and his own life in a car crash. Just seems inconsistent for venom to be a decoy to protect the real big boss if boss just puts both of them in a near death situation anyway.[/sp]
You should be able to request APC's and tanks to be dropped without a parachute.
I give up on this game, I just tried going through the extreme variant of [sp]code talker's mission and after being expected to deal with three hyper aware and accurate snipers that teleport, go invisible, insta kill you, and if you linger around too long trying to snipe them back, get bored and come one shot you with a machete, I've had it with this game.[/sp] I'm all for a harder difficulty but jesus christ these missions are so harsh they seem enforce one particular playstyle and leave little to no room for error, and that sucks
[sp]Literally go from drop point hugging the right cliff of the river, then when near waterfall find ledges and cracks to climb. Careful tho as a Skull is scoping that upper area. Then go simply sneak into code talker's room and then go through the road. Call the chopper on the upper extraction point. EZ S rank.[/sp]

Something I just twigged on, endgame spoils [sp]Skullface isn't big bosses foil, he's medics. They're both men who literally had their face and identity stolen from them in an explosion of all things. [/sp]
Is there a list of what the different parts of mother base do? Like I just got the the point where [sp]the intel team(?) started placing little supply presents everywhere[/sp]
Am I a bad person for going on a spree of FOB infiltrations after my own was raided for 80k+ materials? That platform wasn't going to build itself! Also Squares camo with the non-lethal M2000 is silly overpowered on FOBs
In my Canon Thats exactly who it is He's the only man loyal enough whod do it
Isnt Alligator the best character skill wise in PW? [sp]Big Boss states that Medic was the best soldier MSF had, so that might imply that Medic is infact Alligator all along![/sp]
In my Canon Thats exactly who it is He's the only man loyal enough whod do it
[sp]Iguana died in Big Boss's arms in GZ. That's what drove Alligator mad.[/sp]
Is using smoke grenades in FOBs actually viable? I tried decoys earlier and failed but I'm pretty sure it was just me being bad.
Is there a list of what the different parts of mother base do? Like I just got the the point where [sp]the intel team(?) started placing little supply presents everywhere[/sp]
I am not 100% sure but I think that is what Quiet does during scouting.

End game question [sp]So was Venom talking to ocelot about paz all made up in his head too? Since she turned out to be fake I assume it's his guilt over not finding the second bomb. But what I wonder is why Venom is hallucinating about this one thing and really nothing else. It's like this one part that doesn't really make sense that he's an unreliable narrator just for the fun of having paz and PW memories in game.[/sp]
There's two ways to deal with hard missions: 1. Get good 2. [/sp]
Is using smoke grenades in FOBs actually viable? I tried decoys earlier and failed but I'm pretty sure it was just me being bad.
Very much so Coupled with the sneaking suit and NVG you're pretty much invisible to guards and defenders alike, good for messing with campers, crossing bridges and if you make your shots count you could just walk through an entire FOB using nothing but smoke However during the combat phase guards seem to be able to see through the smoke to a certain degree so they won't help you as much if you're spotted.
I've been practicing infiltrating my own max leveled command platform for a while now and I can't wrap my mind around this one thing: How the fuck are you supposed to get past this mine (the closest one to the exit) without triggering it and alerting the entire base to your presence? I've visited like 2 other FOB's and they both had the same mine placement, so I don't see how is it even possible to do a perfect stealth infiltration on this platform as long as someone does not forget to crank their mines setting to the maximum. And then there are these two dealbreakers that are blocking an otherwise very safe shortcut to the center of the platform, making you go either full on combat or not go for the door at all.

Woah, square camo is OP, I mean AI can't see you 4 meters away from them in FOB. [editline]28th September 2015[/editline] Cameras still can you see so shame.
You could shimmy past the railing maybe?
From what I've experienced the trigger range on the mines is way bigger in FOB's than in singleplayer, esentially twice as far as the laser goes. You can't even get close to the railing to grab onto it.
Blow it up and rush?
Man, this is silly. I keep having this mental itch. I have all these emblem parts but I'm not satisfied with anything else but the MSF logo. But then my DD base is covered in MSF logos. I wish the game would feature this "lore emblems" mechanic. Right now all custom emblems are just a texture on your arm. I would like if you could unlock MSF, FOX, FOXHOUND and other emblems that would have the same level of detail as the DD emblem on your left arm. And another cool feature I would like to see is the option to show your personel's former unit on their arm like the Russian army, CFA, ZRS,...
To be fair EXTREME Metallic Archea was either Brennan or infinite ammo...
LMGs and Mortars, in my case.
Why are there random piles of ammo, fultons and suppressors surrounding Shago Village?
Blow it up and rush?
This is the only tactic I've been able to use to get past the one on the stairs. You can shoot it without getting hit by it, but one way or another you're going to have to take it out. Also, FOB gameplay has turned me into some sort of eugenics freak. Is your security detail B or below and happens to annoy me too much? Probably going to have an influx of sickbay visitors. A+ or above? Disregard them, they're my staff now. And then there are those A guys, not good enough to pick up, but I feel bad wounding or killing them. They're pretty much the only people who get spared. I've become a mad man, but hey, at least I'm disarming nukes.
I mean, I still have my backup emblem that I might go back to: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/427069887420989132/CA924895A1B62C939932F67DEB86B8A3E6334E95/[/t]
Why are there random piles of ammo, fultons and suppressors surrounding Shago Village?
If you have Quiet as a buddy then it's her, if you send Quiet to scout a place she'll sometimes gather supplies for you
First time around, complete the mission by[sp]going down the river till you find a crack that goes all the way up the cliff side (use NVG to easily spot) and sneak into the mansion as normal. When you come out with Code Talker all the soldiers will have turned into puppets, sneak 'em (there's quite a few in the back door area, I went to the front of the mansion) then make your way to the heli LZ, but watch out for the snipers (they're a lot easier to avoid, stay crouched and move slow) - you should get an S-rank.[/sp] For the side objectives,[sp]Bring a Serval and stealth camo. You can easily come out and take ages to headshot them because they just can't see you.[/sp]
Wait what. I thought the game teleports you up onto the grassy knoll after that cutscene, I had no idea it'd keep you elsewhere if you trigger the cutscene. God damn it, I'll need to try it again
There's two ways to deal with hard missions: 1. Get good 2. Try different approach Both of these are better alternatives to complaining that a mission with EXTREME in it's title is too difficult And no, there's several ways to get past them
I just hate snipers in this damn game, I'm just left a little salty after dealing with this latest bit
