Jesus Christ, did no reviewers play chapter 2 I've seen less padding at Victoria's secret shows It's not just that uoure replaying missions but they picked the absolute bottom of the barrell least fun "Back up back down" ooh yeah I was itching to play that again Subsistence would be fine for side ops but restricting me from the rest of the plot until I play a bunch of these awful things? It's a shame because Chapter 1 ends so ROCK solidly, its an explosive conclusion (and Fuck you guys the jeep scene is fantastic) and then you come down from that high for a bunch of gimmicky levels and every now and then Eli appears in a cutscene
The game needed aa third freeroam area. I was astonished when I found out 2 was the number.
Before the game came out, did anyone else think that [sp]Ishmael could be Solidus? Hadn't played MGS2 in a long time so I was probably overlooking some detail that made it impossible but in my mind it made sense[/sp]
[sp]Big Boss was part of the Bikini Atoll nuclear tests that irradiated him and rendered him infertile for the rest of his life. He then had to take on what was supposed to be a simple operation that eventually turned into The Boss' deliberate double-agent defection that turned into a potential nuclear crisis worse than the Cuban Missile incident, and was not only forced to eventually kill The Boss personally, but was somewhat betrayed by EVA despite having fallen in love with her. Then he found out that The Boss died because of loyalty to her country, her country that basically abandoned her to be killed by her own student because of something completely out of her control and spite they had for her upshowing them in the past. Then follow that up with Big Boss pretty much being hated by the world in the grand scheme of things. While Raiden went through some truly horrifying shit as a child soldier, the plot and characters went out of their way to state that he was the only one of his group who could not and had not forgotten his trauma, as if refusing to just put it down despite seeming like he did. The cyborg stuff for MGS4 was pretty much his choice and he sort of degraded into a self-loathing individual from there until the end.[/sp]
[sp]And then, after he builds up his own little slice of the world like how he wants it, some fucking faceless douchebag suddenly comes down and plays him like a damn fiddle, suddenly he's been in a coma for a decade and some guy he killed ages ago is back as a zombie goast to murder him[/sp] yeah ok the first part was better [editline]28th September 2015[/editline]
Before the game came out, did anyone else think that [sp]Ishmael could be Solidus? Man on Fire was better when I thought he was a ghost
he would be a fucking baby not like a literal baby but he'd be in his early-mid teens.
actually, solidus was already training child soldiers in 1984 accelerated aging and stuff
he would be a fucking baby not like a literal baby but he'd be in his early-mid teens.
yah but accelerated aging and shit
Did the accelerated aging just make him look old or did he actually get a fucked up body with it? I think with Old Snake, he was in the late stages of it and I think the FOXDIE was making shit worse
actually, solidus was already training child soldiers in 1984 accelerated aging and stuff
It was just at some point during the Liberian Civil War wasn't it? That could be late 80s, I've always imagined the accelerated aging only kicked in during adulthood too. He'd still have to look 30ish tops seeing as it's at least 20 years before MGS2.
The Liberian civil war is hardly 80s, it mostly took place in the 90s

[sp]When Snake takes his shirt off Naomi recoils in horror, but I'm thinking wow for a guy that looks 70 he's fucking ripped.[/sp]
If the MGR advertising flashbacks are able to be construed as canon in any way, Solidus was already packing white hair and an old face fitting for his presidency later during MGS1 back when [sp]Raiden was just a kid.[/sp]
You know I wonder how surgery is so amazing [sp] they were able to turn what could possibly be a blonde black guy into big boss but they were unable to get rid of those scars Also like the laziness that in 10 years BB has literally not got even a single gray hair[/sp]
[sp]Well, they were kinda trying to hide the fact that he even had plastic surgery. It'd be kinda suspicious if he woke up after a 9 year coma after being in a helicopter that exploded and crashed and did not have a single scar.[/sp]
I still can't believe that Code Talker managed to create [sp]archaea bacteria that can metabolize heavy metals and parasites that can turn into rocks, create rocks, create invisibility, and make weapons materialize out of nothing[/sp]
[sp]real BB wasn't scarred tho[/sp]

[sp]When Snake takes his shirt off Naomi recoils in horror, but I'm thinking wow for a guy that looks 70 he's fucking ripped.[/sp]
I thought it was because he's like literally covered in scars and shit, or am I remembering wrong.
[sp]real BB wasn't scarred tho[/sp]
[sp] it was embarassingly in front of our faces he clearly doesn't have the Horn in the not your kind of people trailer I just always wrote that off as he got it in the hospital but woops The absolute worst giveaway was that poster from E3 2014 that lists all the snakes from each game and on TPP Venom DOESNT say aka Big Boss the way GZ snake does I do wonder why it was made so obvious. So many people had guessed Venom Snake was either the medic or Gray Fox [/sp]
[sp]real BB wasn't scarred tho[/sp]
[sp]I think he had minor scarring in Ground Zeroes, and then it's exacerbated with Venom Snake's face. Meanwhile the real Big Boss had absolutely no scarring thanks to the surgery, recovery and presumed Ishmael mask in the ending.[/sp]
[sp]real BB wasn't scarred tho[/sp]
[sp]Venom doesn't know that. Plus, unlike BB he lost his hand, got a big dose of shrapnels and one huge one in his head. I think giving/leaving him some scars wasn't a bad idea.[/sp]
in the truth tapes, Kaz or Miller says that [sp]the medic jumped in front of BB and shielded him from explosion[/sp]
[sp]Yeah, but given our real face, even if you were to use one of the presets that eerily resembles the Medic's face, by default we don't have scarring. Just the shrapnel and eye injury which may not even be an injury, not to mention the missing arm. The Big Boss face seems almost entirely to have excessive scarring for the sake of appearances. The real Big Boss had any scarring besides his eye, obviously, removed in the meanwhile unless i'm just remembering his Ground Zeroes face incorrectly.[/sp]
I admittedly haven't gotten to that part in the game yet [sp] but venom snake is pretty goddamn well known out there Youd think anyone in Zanzibar land and FOXHOUND would be confused by the new twins [/sp]

Big Boss and Venom Snake were probably never in the same area at the same time besides Outer Heaven in the long term by principle of having to keep up the ruse. And by the time Venom went to Outer Heaven, Big Boss was already back at FOXHOUND to lead Solid Snake.[/sp]
I was so damn proud of myself.

Like, two facial surgeries. That would explain why Ishmael looks like the Medic underneath the bandages.[/sp]

i'm wondering about something you get to see morpho sometimes during TPP, but is the actual model of the MSF hind in the game files ? you know, that one [t]http://i.imgur.com/X4shMCo.jpg[/t] if so, what's stopping anyone from model swapping pequod's blackfoot with the morpho's hind (which looks a billion times better)
Is there a way of modding in customized soldiers to your crew? Like appearance and stats.
