Since this is a Kojima thread I guess I'll post this here. I finally manned up and tried the nerdiest fake food ever: Neo Kobe Pizza from Snatcher. Well, close enough. [t]http://i.imgur.com/reOqUIQ.jpg[/t] In short, it's actually really good.
It probably sounds daft but I really, really wish there was a level editor, like in this video Being able to make our own maps in the game would be phenomenal, and getting to share maps around and give challenges or make up missions and stuff with different triggers and things like that would be absolutely fucking fantastic. Plus it's like, Camp Omega in Ground Zeroes had such a great atmosphere, one that is completely missing from TPP - while the openness is the biggest strength of the game, I'd love to be able to recreate that kind of setting, with a specific time of day, a specific weather, and the mix of wide-open spaces, tiny crawlspaces, and everything in-between that Camp Omega had. Like, the closest we really get to it in TPP is [sp]the airport in Africa and maybe the supply depot, base camp and cliffside prison-type area where the bionics specialist is[/sp], but none of them really, truly capture that feel. The freedom in the game is fantastic, but sometimes it's fun to see what can be done when given limitations, y'know? Plus you'd get tons of remakes of areas from previous Metal Gear games, which would be spectacular. Imagine if they went as far as letting you edit the clothes and faces the individual enemy soldiers had and stuff like that? Fuck.
I'm trying to find an mp3 file of Quiets' humming but it's proving to be a difficult task. Not her theme song, just the humming. I'm going to set it as my ringtone, any help?
it's a tape in The Phantom Pain. I forget how it's unlocked, but you could just record the game while that tape plays.
I wouldn't mind if people somehow cracked the maps to be able to import geometry or so forth, Sonic Generations-style, but the odds of that are extremely slim unless you get some downright badass geniuses that figure out all this stuff. And even then they might get stonewalled. Although in only two weeks, the Phantom Pain's had like over twice the mods Ground Zeroes had in ten months.
I was serious when I was talking about that montage. Dead. Fucking. Serious.

As Eva-1337 said, it'd be neat if I could get my hands on the original file. Thanks Starship you're awesome s2s2

I mean obviously it probably didn't have a full UI and everything, wasn't ready to be put in the final game but seeing it get that close. I'm sorta sad.
During the scene where the soldiers are training on Mother Base and Ocelot corrects the one shooting from the hip, are those guys all random? For me it was Diamond Dad and it was hilarious because he has like an E in combat, he wasn't trying to absorb the recoil, Ocelot, he's an idiot.
Once we get a solid Venom Snake model for SFM, someone needs to make a training montage with Hearts On Fire and Snake training to take on Skull Face I'll even settle for just a gif of Snake in the mirror crumpling a picture of Skull Face

Clearly the level editor was complete, that's how they made the game. Big studios have to create easy to use editors for their engines so that the pipeline is accessible to artists and level designers. That editor was used in house to develop TPP, but Konami owns the rights to it, and they see no reason to release it. Therefore, no editor for us. They even show it off in this GDC presentation. It does look really really nice. Shame that for all of the effort put into it, it will almost never see the light of day again. Do side missions come back? I just fucked up extraction of a translator.
Do side missions come back? I just fucked up extraction of a translator.
Eventually you'll get another chance, it's just extremely random.

I'm about a page late for the Pequod discussion, but isn't Pequod the code-name for the helicopter, not the pilot considering the Pequod was the name of the ship in Moby-Dick?
Why can't I use tranq snipers anymore? Because I'm a "Hero" now?
Why can't I use tranq snipers anymore? Because I'm a "Hero" now?
Are you out of fuel resources or any kind of plant they require?
Are you out of fuel resources or any kind of plant they require?
I got more wormwood. It also isn't showing what resource they need.
I miss morpho He had personality That damn tease in one of the gameplay trailers it actually was morpho and I remember every one damn near losing their mind [sp]it feels cold that pequod died and was replaced like a goldfish by an identical pequod[/sp]
pequod is a callsign for a diamond dogs gunship, not anybody's name
I got more wormwood. It also isn't showing what resource they need.
It should show what is needed when you hover over them in the development menu or when you're in the sortie prep menu.
seriously though how did they manage to botch this entire sequence so hard
In the comments the uploader said he used the cheat engine to make all the soldiers around him fall asleep.
I meant the actual unedited sequence itself
