uhh
depends on how they handle it, obviously
I don't really inherently give a shit whether Kojima is working on it or not. If they manage to make a Metal Gear game that's actually good and retains the charm, that's fucking great. I'd love that game whether Kojima happened to work on it or not.
It's just kind of unlikely that'll happen.
Yeah, I don't really care if Kojima is around for it anymore. He was obviously tired of doing it, and it's not worth having him if it means a subpar game he didn't want to make. MGR felt plenty Metal Gear even without him, so I think they can still make good games.
your local pawn shop should have one for like 80 bux which is pretty good considering it was the console with the best exclusives
Idk man Halo 3 was the exclusive that made me get X360 :p
But on PS's side they have several metal gears, time crisis, etc so maybe I will get one eventually

So does anyone know if Quiet [sp]actually dies in her ending or if she just wanders off into the desert to keep the infection from spreading?[/sp] Based on what Code Talker says, if she spends a prolonged amount of time in the desert then she'd probably dry up and go into a hibernation state under a sand dune or something, rather than just outright die, correct?

[sp]She's listed as MIA, so she's probably still alive.[/sp]

Word of God supposedly says that [sp]she joins Venom Snake in death post-Outer Heaven, which is what the one comic went with, but that's a pretty ambiguous eleven years from the end of the Phantom Pain at which Quiet could've died at any point.[/sp]
That comic isn't as good as people keep making it out to be, out of spite.
I'm not saying the comic is canon, i'm saying that's probably what they based the [sp]Quiet greeting Venom to the afterlife[/sp] bit off of since apparently someone said that actually does happen in an interview or the director's commentary or something. I hate how much info is actually flying around about random shit with iffy sources on TPP since its release, but I guess it's still only a month old now.
comic?
comic?
massages are nice but they can only do so much. in 9 years no matter what you're going to be pretty badly atrophied

me
Oh?
[sp]Tortured and half blinded, tricked by his country into killing the only person he really loved because he felt betrayed by her, subsequently betrayed by the woman who comforted him, cloned without his consent, betrayed again by his friends, having to watch many of his men die, and then caught in an explosion that puts him in a coma for years.[/sp]
"Hasn't suffered"
Besides, Snake, unlike Raiden, knows that there's no point wasting words on someone who is so strong a believer in their perspective that they're willing to kill half the planet to see it through. Raiden talks too much.
I meant that Snake hasn't suffered in the same way that Raiden has, but I can see how what I wrote could be taken as Big Boss hasn't suffered at all.
I like that Raiden is talkative. It's like SS/BB are old batman and Raiden is Terry. Sometimes you just need to talk shit to win

The game actually doesn't take this lightly, surprisingly. When the hospital prologue happens, Snake's arms are extremely skinny, and although the digoxin does manage to get him working eventually it's well after at least ten minutes of stumbling around and avoiding near-death. The [sp]Truth[/sp] tapes also have a doctor mention that the massages could probably keep the muscle mass at first but if too much time passes then the implication hangs in the air that the atrophy would occur. [sp]Even though that was referring to Big Boss, not Venom.[/sp]
It's just that once we get onto the tanker ride to Afghanistan with Ocelot, the game literally just glosses over everything for the sake of getting us straight to the E3 intro everyone knows and to the game itself. And suddenly Snake is buff again in only a handful of days.
who runs out of tranq ammo anyway
I would if I used it.
(lategame item spoiler)[sp]I just use stealth camo and run around savage punching everyone.[/sp]
what the fuck
if you shoot the pig head on [sp] eli's[/sp] table in the white mamba mission, it squeals :worried:

Didn't you see the montage? Ocelot was giving the guy loads of steroid injections.
This is the one part of the game where the 80s music would have been appropriate.

Holy shit are we playing as Ivan Drago?
Fuck this one month since release event bullshit, now I cant even play for more than 5 minutes without some chump invading my FOB/an FOB I support.
I fear to go online. Been playing in offline mode from the beginning of the FOB tutorial. I wonder how often I got invaded.
Someone really should dig in the game files and replace The Man Who Sold The World with Bowie's Diamond Dogs.
It's the opening Kojima wanted.

As long you keep your security to max and don't have nukes no one should bother invading, unless they are cheaters.
Maybe it's because I've put little effort into developing my FOB and haven't bothered attacking anyone else's, or maybe I'm just lucky, but I haven't been invaded a single time... Yet.
I'm on PS4 and I'm trying to hook up to my mate's FOB as a supporter, can anyone help me out on this?

Keep looking through the randomized list 'til you find his name.
you don't unless you get lucky on the matchmaking

I have a feeling the version used for the opening intentionally had some editing and sound effects over it, which would require an altered Diamond Dogs to fit the spot.
Plus if we actually had sound-editing in Ground Zeroes or The Phantom Pain besides just inserting custom music tracks in GZ by awkward replacement, we probably would have more mods of that.

That seems counter-intuitive. :(
[Sp]I'm disappointed we didn't get to directly fight Cipher in V. Kaz straight up says you would be several times after Chapter 1, and it was the next logical step for the story, but it just never happens :\[/sp]

That would make absolutely no sense at all though.

Woah woah wait I thought XOF was essentially Cipher?
I actually really hate how awkwardly the whole thing shifts. [sp]Kaz and Ocelot are like, "Okay, let's find Cipher so we can take revenge." Then after rescuing Huey, Ocelot just goes, "Oh right, the Cipher we're fighting is not Zero - Skull Face was responsible for what happened nine years ago, has taken control over the portion of Cipher that attacked us, so we have to go after him," like the game needed to conveniently go off the track from Cipher to focus on Skull Face despite knowing little about him in-story still. Then you defeat Skull Face, and despite knowing better Kaz just still bitches and moans about Cipher but nothing ever really results of it all.[/sp]
Woah woah wait I thought XOF was essentially Cipher?
[sp]Skullface's unit, XOF, used to be a part of Cipher, then he split up with Zero.[/sp]
