So how long does it usually take for stolen nukes to show up in your resources? Do you have to be online to keep this timer running?
Jesus christ I should've bought a Quiet figure. They're selling for 500€ now and no store here has them.
Codex is like an integral part or MGS experience. Imagine you're sneaking in enemy territory alome where everything's is out to kill you, codex is the only moment that can be considered a breather, sort of an interlude to the tensions. In codex ypu got to joke around, nerd over weapons, flirt with paremedic. It adds variations to the atmosphere that I sorely need.

And then the next 2 took 4+ hours to showup in my inventory to dismantle them. So I guess it's done at certain intervals server side and I just got lucky, but I wasn't online when the last ones arrived. Of course if you have acquired nukes at all, even if they're not in your resources inventory, they can nearly immediately be stolen from you. I was raided about 5 minutes after stealing some and lost 2. Neat system.

I stole 2 nukes off some hacker dude (he had 8 nukes and around 240K of every resource) about 3 hours ago after getting spotted by the last camera before the infiltration point after working myself through 3 other platforms unseen. Haven't had any intruders (or retaliatory strike) since then so I hope it'll stay that way until I can dismantle those nukes.
Can't you play Prologue again and just change your dates?
Indeed, it works, and as soon as you return to MB, it plays the birthday cutscene. Now lets gonna see if my model swap works.
How the Sam heck am I supposed to know where thr Cybernetic Specialist is in Backup, "7 Tank Hell" Back Down I need that little bastard
How the Sam heck am I supposed to know where thr Cybernetic Specialist is in Backup, "7 Tank Hell" Back Down I need that little bastard
Rescue every poop.
How the Sam heck am I supposed to know where thr Cybernetic Specialist is in Backup, "7 Tank Hell" Back Down I need that little bastard
Google or save everyone [editline]2nd October 2015[/editline] Someone on metalgearphilanthropy gave me some interesting nuke advice Apparently when defending while holding nukes you can jump off the edge of the command while still faded (invincible) and Fulton the nukes away your self making it impossible for them to take it
Fuck backup back down Even tho I'm chapter 2 and have tanks and rocket launchers it's still not even remotely fun I also dot even know how the hell to find 4 prisoners
How the Sam heck am I supposed to know where thr Cybernetic Specialist is in Backup, "7 Tank Hell" Back Down I need that little bastard
He's the prisoner in the hills being hunted by four soviet soldiers. They will eventually find and kill him. Couldn't find just a picture of the location on the map so have a video instead. [editline]2nd October 2015[/editline] That's not a very efficient route to take if you're going after all of the prisoners though. It's better to start at the palace because one of the prisoners is right next to the landing zone there and another is being held in the actual palace camp, plus that's one of the initial spawns for an armoured vehicle so you can pop that while you're there too. You'll still have time to save the cybernetics specialist after rescuing those two and then you're free to move on to the others around the map.
I tried plenty of "pics/videos" of loaction but they all were wrong of me back when I went to get that fellow.
But.. I went up against FOBs like that before and I can just shake myself up so I can't be captured.
yeah but it's worth it just to embarrass invaders when they get caught, plus afaik non-lethal is the only way for your security team to take out hackers
You guys were talking about a Rocky style montage for BB and Skullface? I like to imagine this kind of montage for the expansion of Motherbase and Diamond Dogs: The zoo platform can even fit in there!
Fuck backup back down Even tho I'm chapter 2 and have tanks and rocket launchers it's still not even remotely fun I also dot even know how the hell to find 4 prisoners
It's been a while since I looked for all of them, but here's the prisoner locations I can remember. If you start with the southern LZ near the palace, there's a female prisoner walking around there. I like to run over and blow up the APC at the palace with an RPG and then run back to where I left my car, she should be there at that point. The second one is in a mountain pass to the north-east of prisoner 1. He's being chased by guards, and if you don't hurry and rescue him he'll die. Rescue him first or second. Another one is in the river, he walks all the way downstream so if you wait to get him last he'll always be at the end. There's the prisoner in the car that you probably know about. There's also one in the prison cells next to the ruined palace. I can't remember where the last one is, but I remember he's on the east part of the map, I think he's at an outpost.
How the hell the game expects me to extract 6 prisoners in Backup back down is beyond me It's like this games fucking Dante must die
A lot of people defend the cassette tapes in MGSV, comparing them to Peace Walker. However, Peace Walker didn't turn story critical information or exposition in to optional cassettes. I'm sort of okay with turning the codec conversations in to cassettes (sort of, because it obviously didn't work that way considering how boring most cassettes are compared to the majority of the codec conversations in the series) but I'm not okay with putting stuff that should have most definitely been cutscene content in to boring ass cassettes. Sorry if I'm repeating what has already been said a thousand times in this thread alone. The biggest pain I feel regarding MGSV is in regards to the story and volume of important exposition turned in to cassette form.
it's literally the same thing as codecs, but instead they come conveniently when you feel like it.
A codec was relevant to the situation at hand usually, even if they often swerved off into the character's personal backstories. These tapes almost solely serve as exposition for the plot and some obvious cutscenes transferred into an audio-only format, which mean you unlock them at semi-relevant points in the plot but could hear them hours later when the story's long over. Combine that with little to no heart compared to PW's tapes or the codecs of old (besides the obvious answer of [sp]The Burgers of Kazuhira Miller[/sp]), and all you have is a lot of story and background summation, no real oomph besides a few specific sets of tapes like [sp]Huey's prelude to the trial, Strangelove's demise, and the Truth tapes.[/sp]

Peace Walker had a shitton of tapes, categorized with almost every major character and topic. In V it's kinda the same but it's pretty scarce. I don't get how a handheld title had more vocal content then a console title.

I'd say that's more aggravating than anything mgsv has on tapes
Back Up Back Down wasn't too bad with a guide- here's what I remember. 1. Fly down to the low threat helicopter point near the bottom of the map, and there should be a prisoner near you. D-Dog is invaluable to him and the others 2. The hidden path through the mountains should have 4 soldiers roaming through (who are there to get the prisoner, get them for the objective), go through and he should be there wandering. 3. At the palace, there should be a prisoner in one of the black containers. 4. At the river above the palace and guardpost, there should be a prisoner wandering through 5. By now, the game should tell you "hey, prisoner in a truck coming up", which you should run through and grab him and the truck 6. The last man is in the basement area where the bionics prisoner was. Extract him, and time should run out shortly.
My rewards thing is almost full because I have too much materials, help!
it's literally the same thing as codecs, but instead they come conveniently when you feel like it.
Most of the cassettes available in MGSV function more like diary entries than codec conversations. For the most part it's one person explaining stuff and giving exposition, occasionally there will be more than one person involved and on the very rare occasion it is an actual conversation. We get very few codecs indeed in which Venom actually converses with the person giving exposition. I note that you did not mention the fact that many story critical pieces of information, exposition or discussion are turned in to optional cassette tapes. That is an issue that is bigger than turning the codecs in to diary entry cassette tapes. There are a lot of fans of the series that believe that MGS4 had too many hours of cutscenes, and I can sympathize with those people (even though it did not bother me; more gameplay would have been nice though) but I do not think the solution was to turn those things that should have been cut scenes in to what feel like diary entries. As a note, I don't think that cassettes that are more like diary entries than conversations are inherently bad. I do however feel that those presented in MGSV were mostly a step down from the story and exposition codecs and cutscenes presented in previous games. I could make the unfair comparison of MGSV cassettes to the codec calls in MGS3, but not everybody here will have played MGS3.
Sell em, I've been selling off minor metal and black carrots for days
Can't, max GMP 24/7 too.
Can't, max GMP 24/7 too.
Time to start spending foolishly [editline]2nd October 2015[/editline] I assume you're out of dev projects? [editline]2nd October 2015[/editline] I'd use that cumbersome wealth to get some live practice on FOBs. Maybe start stealing nukes and getting more risky [editline]2nd October 2015[/editline] When I reach that point I'm dedicating my power to disposing nukes on FOBs. Also creeping my power till my fobs are full s++
