[sp]A child with severe ego problems who likely was tied to if not directly caused the death of another child by being fucking crushed by pipes or something like that, stole an English strain parasite for his own purposes, and a gigantic fucking mecha with which he was intent on murdering Venom with. Sure, whatever Venom probably shittalked Eli with would've been unpleasant, ontop of him accidentally shooting Eli and all, but whether he's a kid or not doesn't excuse the sheer assholery and the fact that at least twice he tried to murder Venom on his own base and was also planning an armed uprising through homemade bombs and equipment.[/sp]
[sp]It's not about whether what he said was right or appropriate, it was just not the right thing to do. Not morally, but logically. For all they knew he was about to be vaporized by napalm, so it's not entirely their fault. Still, he had the power of a magical psychic babby on his side, they should've planned ahead a little better.[/sp]
I just got to the [sp] mother base infection [/sp]
[sp] why is one of my best soldiers in quarantine
Why is one of the ex MSF staff
IS there a hint to solving the infected?[/sp]
[sp]Snake already beat Sahelanthropus once, even if it was damaged then. I haven't looked up the Episode 51 content yet, but from what I understand he intentionally plays off of Eli's hatred and anger to piss him off and make it easier for him to give into blind rage that Venom could exploit. I'm probably wrong though so I should look that up.[/sp]
[sp]Parasites are based on language.
Obviously it's not English.[/sp]
I think I've figured it out. [sp] all the quarantine speaks Russian English and Kikongo.
So anyone who speaks Kikongo and russkie is going in the jaik
I've already lost 40 people[/sp]
[sp]you can eliminate one of those languages from your list[/sp]
God damn. Mission 45 spoilers. [sp]This is the first time a game has ever made me tear up :([/sp]
Same. [sp]by how much rage I was feeling when I reached it. Jesus christ, could they put in a few more checkpoints or something? Getting as far as "No more reinforcements appear to be in sight", dying, then restarting several waves before is not at all fun. I am gonna be so happy to get this done and unlock the rest of the sideops.[/sp]
How do some people wake up so fast during invasions, I've had a few people wake up right after a CQC slam before I could fulton them out. Is that a cheat, macro or do I just suck at quick time events?

After I found out that shooting it makes it scream I waited 10 minutes just for the one line.
I have max bond with quiet
I dont take her on the next mission and her bond goes down
She's too accurate to real women
How do I get the rain scene of her and bossu dancing to play
[sp]tbh after all the NesQuik jokes i was not expecting to be so emotionally impacted by mission 43. i was tearing up by the funeral scene
the idroid casually informing you every time you kill one of the infected soldiers made for the most powerful moment in the entire story[/sp]
Agreed, but it killed the impact when I got back to the ACC and [sp]Miller's depressed speech was interrupted with its upbeat "Weather, will clear shortlyyy :)"[/sp]

If I recall correctly it just happens when you [sp]return to base with her some time after mission 29.[/sp]

Pretty sure it's a cheat. Every time I encounter someone who does it usually they have Wormhole Fultons, the Battle Dress, and either are extremely good at stealth or have a stun Uragan and sniper rifle as they easily handle everything that gets in their way unless my guards overwhelm them.

Imagine it doing that in Peace Walker- we never heard anything other than it's humming in that game, and having more would have been interesting. Ah well.
fixed that up for ya
I think the bills hat looks exactly like the beret he has
when you're in a FOB firefight and a dude 3 stories up engages "dump magazine" mode through an opening between 7 different metal panels and instakills you

i'm not even sure i totally understand how i was instakilled from a dude above me while i was prone with a shield on my back?

why are headshot hitboxes so incredibly bad

The AI accuracy is bullshit sometimes. Even in Ground Zeroes it didn't seem as bad as The Phantom Pain can get, but it helped that Camp Omega was more enclosed than the larger expanses we get. They seem to vary between 'miss most of the shots,' 'hit your body with almost every bullet in the mag,' and 'path these bullets into your fucking skull'. And if you're even remotely near a shotgunner's gunfire, you're getting staggered. If there's more than one shotgunner, you're basically dead. If they spot you while you're sniping, they can even hit you at over a hundred meters away with relative ease.
At least earlier games before MGS3 gave your character a sort of invulnerability time between damages, and MGS4 let you take a surprising amount of punishment even in The Boss Extreme, but your normal durability in MGSV combined with the accuracy and firing rates of the enemies means that not killing / disabling every enemy in a combat alert ASAP, or not getting the fuck out of dodge, will get you maimed horribly in a direct gunfight unless you know they're coming by pre-marking them.
You can get the FOXHOUND rank while using Rank Restricting gear. Rather silly...
After finishing the game, the weird Meta Man commercial makes a lot more sense, at least in relation to the story

[sp]Anyone can be Big Boss[/sp]
Does anyone know the song in this?
On the subject of character development, was anyone else disappointed with Eli?
[sp]During MGS1 Liquid says Big Boss "always told me I was inferior", backing up the notion that Big Boss was constantly an asshole and explaining Liquid's resentment towards him. But in MGSV it turns out Liquid was already a brat who hated Big Boss anyway, and instead of telling Liquid he's shit Big Boss tries giving him a fresh start at a life without battle. This straight up contradicts the fact Big Boss believed in nothing but war, something that Liquid is adamant about in MGS1. So it turns out "Big Boss" was nothing but good to him but he ignored his entire experience with the man, from personal feelings to ideology.
Not to mention his whole purpose in the story is to get beat up twice, escape with Sahelanthropus and get stopped in a cut mission. It doesn't build on previous backstory so much as it contradicts it, it feels like a poorly shoehorned U-turn with no real bearing on the plot.[/sp]
honestly I saw it more as childish resentment to the father figure.
i mean there's a couple scenes where BB just wrecks his shit up and smiles while doing so - that could be enough for him to feel like he was inferior and that bb did too

lol shotguns knock down shielded players anyway
just dumped about 50 rounds into a dudes neck-head area with a riot SMG and he just gets up, jogs away from me for a few seconds, sits still, changes stance, pulls out an auto shotgun, and instakills me in 2-3 shots from full HP in a stealth suit behind my shield. this is after i already knocked him down with the riot smg and the game decided that i should fulton the guy 5 feet away instead of the player i was standing on. wouldn't it be amazing if losing was even a little fun.
all hail the EOD juggernaut meta. actually designing gear is too hard.

The only way I beat the quick waking assholes is to literally pelt them with a sleep grenade from an underbarrel launcher (gun customization goes a long way, and you can attach one onto a sniper rifle too) and then be on their ass the moment they hit the floor with a fulton.
i thought i was kidding earlier when i said players get out of stuns faster than a point blank player can fulton them. you literally need to be standing on them for it to work, and sometimes it doesn't because of whatever it is this game calls a netcode. and for some reason yeah, players have a god-mode from stuns after getting up, and they can't be CQC'd while being flashed. this explains why it's a good idea to sprint away from players that you fail to fulton the first time.
I changed my emblem by mistake... fucking mission 45.

okay I think it's actually S and above soldiers that have this issue. I'll try sleep grenades next time now that the timer is so short.
It's funny how relevant your post is considering my very next post 30 seconds later.
made it to mission 45 without ever developing launchers or mines, and it doesn't let you back into the acc.
guess its time to sit here and [sp]let quiet die over and over[/sp] while they develop :v:
If you stand on the materials container near the stronghold and extract it then hold Y/Triangle you'll return to the ACC.
does anyone have the list of names that Arsenal Gear says the area is if you keep running in and out of the room

Doesn't that only work with the wormhole fulton?
Doesn't that only work with the wormhole fulton?
I haven't been able to get it to work with the wormhole, I've only ever done that with balloon
I haven't been able to get it to work with the wormhole, I've only ever done that with balloon
I've tried both, it works on balloons and wormholes equally.
I'll try it again with the balloon fulton sometime.
