the reason that doesn't work is because big boss has almost no personality in V, while in 3 ocelot/boss had a lot of chemistry together even in a platonic way
this is what really pissed me off the whole game. Big Boss is pretty much a fucking mute. [sp]I mean I get what Kojima was trying to do with the whole "IM BIG BOSS, UR BIG BOSS, WE'RE ALL BIG BOSS" by making him pretty much a silent protagonist. But it bothers the fuck out of me when important shit is happening and Snake is just "..." the whole putting yourself in the character really only works when it's an RPG when I can choose what to say or an FPS with a character that didn't already have an established personality.[/sp]

Mods to make DD a ghost bear apparently
[sp]At the time when Ocelot says "let the legend come back to life," he's already hypnotized himself into believing that Venom is Big Boss. So from the start of the game to The Truth, Ocelot did care for Venom as much as he does for Boss, because he thinks he /is/ boss.[/sp]
What the hell are you talking about, when is it stated that [sp]Ocelot hypnotized himself[/sp]?
Or is this just some stupid fan "theory"?
Because it wouldn't make sense since [sp]he was obviously in on it when he took BB out of the ambulance. And at the end told Miller about the whole plan.[/sp]

[sp]The post-game Truth tapes. Ocelot outright states to Big Boss parts of the plan and that he'll hypnotize himself and forget about the real Big Boss and the secret, in-depth parts of the plan altogether at some point. Presumably during the time of a week transfer to Afghanistan since Ocelot obviously knew of the plan and all. But then that whole ending is a mess since Ocelot should've been on the whaling barge already with Venom Snake.[/sp]

[sp]listen to the truth tapes, litterally the first one[/sp]
I just went back and listened to the first one. That's just stupid and doesn't make much sense.
When exactly would he have done that? On mother base?
[editline]3rd October 2015[/editline]
Also how did he suddenly "remember" at the end to tell Miller?
HAHAHAH just saved some guy's nuke by a hair
I spawn and make my way down the platform, literally as soon as I got the nuke in sight the guy fucking pops out of the staircase next to it. Once I get in range he's already started fultoning and as I start blasting him with my uragan I watch him desperately fighting the knockback to get in range for a fulton and then finally bite the dust
Good times

my guess is [sp]he got V out of hell, then at mother base he hypnotized himself, leaving a note or cassette for himself to read/hear when the time was right to tell boss/miller.[/sp]
Backup, Back Down was actually my favorite mission in the game.
Riding around on D-Horse with a rocket launcher while "Rebel Yell" plays, it just felt really cool.
Actually, I would have really liked to have seen Snake have more interaction with the Mujahideen, maybe have battles with AI guerrilla teammates.
It's even more fun with the [sp]fulton ballista[/sp]

That nuke you saved had better been for the disposal of it
That nuke you saved had better been for the disposal of it
punk ass bitch
i really wish you could fulton things from allied bases. You can take them but they don't actually get added to your own count, presumably it's to prevent the invader from stealing them.

It'd be kinda shitty if your supporters just stole everything you had. What would be nice would be being able to trade soldiers and resources with your supporters.

You can actually, if you go visit the FOB of a supporter you can fulton their shit
I never tried myself but supposedly you lose a bunch of heroism and it opens a retaliation wormhole if you get caught. I don't know what the rules for "getting caught" during a visit are though
Fans are basically in a mental conditioning now of, "Fuck Konami and fuck everything they'll do."
If they make any more Solid games, or have Platinum do Rising 2, they're going to be non-canon in the eyes of the fans. Unless the fans suck at boycotting canon harder than the Modern Warfare boycotters. If they do new continuity reboots and shit though, that'll be judged on its own accord.
i already consider Rising 1 non-canon
it's a great game in it's own right but there really shouldn't be any games set after MGS4
For anyone on PS4 there's a Community for Facepunch players specifically for MGSV and MGO.
Add me (Departing) or Taggart250 for an invite. (Or just reply to this with your PSN)
If you check Discover Communities > Friends Communities, you might see it there as well if you're friends with anyone who has joined.
AC_v_StuNtMaN.

Jesus with only 100 hours?
So the person who built nuke here, can you dispose your own one?

Translation: I hated fun and played the game just for the completion percentage
Does it bother anyone else that of all the songs to license MUCLEAR wasn't one of them
Why doesn't the PS4 have custom music forsake me
Translation: I hated fun and played the game just for the completion percentage
Oh no no. I loved every bit my first time. I took my time, explored as much as I could, non-lethal and stealth all the way. Not every mission was without a fuck up but the majority of mission I didn't get an S rank the first time was because I took too much time and got an A. It's not my fault this game rewards speed as much as it does. I think I started to "hate fun" as you put it about 80 or so hours in. I didn't start using stealth camo until I got to the last couple of side ops and that was long after I finished the story.
After you S rank all missions (which requires no usage of easy/cheat items) only reward that awaits you is a number on the bottom of your screen. So yeah, I will use all the tools I can to get that and then return to normal gameplay without any worry of ranks and completion.
I did use a guide for the animal collection because I have no idea how are you supposed to find them without searching every bit of the two huge maps for the right trap placement. But maybe we have a different view on what's fun.
Translation: I hated fun and played the game just for the completion percentage
There is a huge amount of things in this game I would not do if not for the completion percentage
[editline]3rd October 2015[/editline]
even peace walker had more interesting side ops
What mission do you find diamond dad in?
I still have my original b-rank one and I'm tired of it

I'm pretty sure he's the guy who develops the bionic arms, so it's very early on
These supernatural bosses are getting out of hand. In MGS shadow moses their abilities still was grounded on reality, but now they're all Poltergeist and Ghost riders

Yes the 7 foot tall 900 pound eskimo shaman who carried a harrier jets vulcan cannon around and could speak to crows, and the bondage fetishist scary skelly who could literally mind control people, phase through walls, conjur fire, and throw shit with his mind were grounded in reality.

over the fence I think
