It's a shame the FLUDD is still not that great, would have been better if it last a bit longer.
It actually has the knockback right now to KO people that are near the side killzones, directly, when fired from near the side of smashville. [sp]Not that I'd take that over a 64-style Mario Tornado[/sp]
Real talk I had to take a break from Melee because I kept doing 99 stock matches every night for practice and now my hand really hurts Fox gave me RSI
Why would you play 99 stock matches in anything, let alone Melee Humans aren't built for that
I once broke one of my fingers playing melee, i'm not shitting you let me search pics. [editline]22nd March 2015[/editline] Okay I totally lost the pic. I broke my left thumb, like it got bended bacwards and It was fucked up for a month.
Why would you play 99 stock matches in anything, let alone Melee Humans aren't built for that
Started streaming it on twitch because my friend wants to get in to commentating so I was just providing a video to talk over while I did some practice I didn't know it would come to this, now I have to stretch before I type/pick up a controller or I get immense pain in my right hand, i'm an idiot [editline]22nd March 2015[/editline]
I once broke one of my fingers playing melee, i'm not shitting you let me search pics.
My finger like, slipped from the control stick and I hit it with the handle that's under it accidentally.
i can not visualize this
i can not visualize this
I have pretty weak bones, this is a diagram: I accidentally moved my finger out of the control stick and somehow did a movement that brought the part marked in black towards me and I moved my finger back too much. Samus feels real good to play for me in 4, reminds me of kicking butt in melee days.
More info from a a Sakurai stream:
- Sakurai is aware of the many outlandish Miiverse requests (Goku, SpongeBob, ect.) - Takamaru was initially planned as playable - he didn't make the cut due to lack of fan familiarity

Remember that super smash land clone I was working on? want to take it for a spin? https://mega.co.nz/#!6oZVRK4b!TuMvcTK2DH3qKvtb7bEaIrqX_-4zpZOf1RXAw_Jg1TY Only bad thing is that you need two controllers if you want to try local multiplayer, luckly if you want to control the second character you just need to open the console and type ssswapcontrollers. Only the uptilt has sakurai-like knockback, so the rest of attacks send the character too far away, I also added less friction to how the character moves, the characters can die and respawn and I changed the level geometry a bit, I also changed a shit ton of internal stuff but since you can't see it it's pretty useless for me to go into detail, as always the source code is here: https://github.com/EIREXE/openmelee2d
I hope you don't mind but I forked it, and all I've done is change the blast zones. Unreal is confusing.
Real talk I had to take a break from Melee because I kept doing 99 stock matches every night for practice and now my hand really hurts Fox gave me RSI
occasionally when i've been practising for an hour or more some of my fingers will start to ache slightly. i usually stop as soon as that happens. did your entire hand just suddenly start to hurt?

Also of course I don't mind, that's why it's open source, just send a pull request later and I will pull it.

When they add DLC characters they should have them usable in training mode so you can try them before deciding.
If they only add mewtwo, I hope at least the update will come with more alts (new models, not recolors) for the existing characters.
i'm pretty sure mewtwo will come with tournament mode and the miiverse stage
I adjusted them to be more Smash like as well, they fit the limitations on Kirby's floating.
I'll merge the things manually later ( bc blueprints are not code). Thanks.
i'm pretty sure mewtwo will come with tournament mode and the miiverse stage
I know that this is very likely to happen this way and it sucks that it is completely underwhelming. Mewtwo is cool and all, but I would love at least one other new fighter, or more cut characters added back.
Why would you play 99 stock matches in anything, let alone Melee Humans aren't built for that
I think I finished a 99 stock match once.
Back around the time I first got Melee I played a four-man 99 stock match on Hyrule Temple once. We realized a while into it that we had accidentily left only Pokeballs on when when we were goofing around in an earlier match. We managed to get down to two guys, each with one stock left, me and the only person actually good at the game. I avoided him until I could get my hands on a pokeball. Scizor killed him in one hit. gg wp
So, which do you guys think Mewtwo will be? > Usable in all modes online and off > Usable in all modes offline but only against friends on > Usable in all modes offline but unusable on > Usable in most modes offline but unusable in Classic and All Star > Usable only in Smash mode (like amiibo)
So, which do you guys think Mewtwo will be? > Usable in all modes online and off > Usable in all modes offline but only against friends on > Usable in all modes offline but unusable on > Usable in most modes offline but unusable in Classic and All Star > Usable only in Smash mode (like amiibo)
Why would this even be the case?
Why would this even be the case?
The assumption that it would be pointless. It already has trophies, and its customs could all be unlocked from the start. Smash Run and Smash Tour would also be restricted for the same reason. It's weird, but Nintendo's done weird things before. [editline]23rd March 2015[/editline] Personally I think it's going to be offline only, but usable in all modes.
Definitely won't be offline only. MK8's DLC is playable online. I would imagine that if a player in the game owns Mewtwo all players will be able to select him.
So Nintendo just sent me an email saying that my soundtrack CD has shipped. It showed up at my house three weeks ago. :v:

I think Mewtwo will be "use it if you own it online, if you don't have him you can still fight him."
I think Mewtwo will be "use it if you own it online, if you don't have him you can still fight him."
If this is to be the case, I'd want him to be usable no matter what in training mode, both as player and AI. Without that, Mewtwo players have a big advantage in the form of other people never learning how to fight him, and never being able to learn outside of PVP. It's only fair everyone gets a chance to understand how he works.
