I dunno, the clone is always the easiest part for me. It's just so dumb. my most difficult fights are with the swords and the dog, probably the swords first.

The entire fight is pretty easy if you're a patient player and are familiar with these kinds of fights (it's really out of place in smash, which is why it'll throw a lot of people for a loop), the only reason why I claimed the clone was harder was because it tosses the rest of the fight's strategy out the window until you knock some sense into it. Some characters have a much easier time with it while others are going to experience a headache simply because it's a mirror match. With the rest of the fight it's consistent the whole way through regardless of which character you play as. Consistency is what makes the rest of the gauntlet easier to get a grip on.
Anyone get a Fox that could combo you to like 70% via punches if you're heavy enough.
I just did, it was a little more than rage inducing.

Also where is the best place for strategies, my mains so far are Dedede, Ganon, and Sheik.
Since I feel this thread has an equally relevant opinion on the issue, vote here for who you want ported from the WiiU version next.
It's newcomers only and excludes characters already planned or released from the 3DS assets. Model swaps like the Robin and WFT genders, koopalings and Mac hoodie would be included.

Voting ends either when it closes by itself, or friday, whichever comes first.
Robin and the Wii Fit Trainers come in both genders for that, right?
Why was I expecting Lucina to be on top of the poll :v:
You know exactly why.

smash brothers is art
Today the Apex Smash tournament announced that long time tournament organizer Johnathan “Alex Strife” Lugo will no longer be the head of their tournament organization this year, following several allegations of sexual harassment spanning the six year history of the Apex tournament. Numerous people have spoken out against Strife in the past few days, releasing detailed accounts of the harassment and unwanted attention they received from Lugo while he worked for the company. Apex released the following statement after these allegations were revealed:
“At this time, Alex Strife will be stepping down from his duties at Apex. We will be moving forward with Apex 2015. As it stands Apex 2015 is the largest Smash Brothers tournament ever and the Apex staff hopes to bring you the best experience we can.”
The allegations of sexual harassment have been ongoing for years and while nothing was done about them, most recently a tweet from a Smash Bros. player named Kay seems to have sparked the investigation into Lugo’s interactions with numerous female players over the years as the tournament’s organizer. The tweet simply read:
I’m glad that as a community we’ve just decided to ignore that our biggest tournament is run by a repeated sexual harasser.”
From that single tweet, numerous other women began speaking about their experiences with Lugo while competing in the tournament, with one woman stating that she knew it was wrong several years ago when it happened to her, but she chose to remain silent because at the time she was only 14 and wasn’t sure how to deal with such a serious subject.
The Super Smash Bros. subreddit is currently full of posts from women who are detailing their history with Lugo, with fans supporting everyone who comes forward to detail their interactions with him over the past few years.
Ahh jeez wait until Fugtrup gets his hands on those Lucina/Robin/WFT/Palutena models.

Fun fact: The folders for Dr.Mario and Dark Pit are named mariod and pitb; copypasting to a huge degree...
At least Lucina got her own folder name.

If you want to make a similar image.
Geez, my comment was more in the line that their status as ascended alternate costumes is obvious down to the filenames. No need to get prickly about that.

Well the d is for doctor in mariod and the b in pitb is for "Black" Pit (Dark Pit's Japanese name). It wasn't the letter of a costume.

Why would I vote for Edgy Pit? I mean, his side-b is neat, but that's pretty much it :v:

ZeRo's Falcon is a goddamn nightmare machine.
All right, gents, I need some tech support. I'm trying to run Project M on Dolphin, as I want to try modifying it without having to reset my Wii all the time when it inevitably freezes.
I tried following a tutorial and seem to have everything set up. I have a virtual SD card and added the files to it without a problem. Dolphin is set to load the SD card and everything, but whenever I try to launch the game with codes from Gecko OS, it simply tells me that no codes were found and boots the regular game.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this? And is there a better way to go about this that I'm not aware of?
Jesus I was playing against the GREATEST Shulk today. I literally played with this one guy on For Glory and played with just him for 2 hours straight. Every time he played someone who wasn't Shulk, I would win, but every time he picked Shulk I just got my teeth kicked in. Shulk is either ridiculous or he was just really really good with him.
Both Melee and Smash U have been confirmed for EVO this year.

I think that guy was really good with Shulk. Shulk's pretty hard to play, given my friend is a series vet and sucks hard with Shulk, complaining he's "too awkward to use".

i can't believe it.
the consensus was that Melee had pretty much no chance because smash wasn't popular enough to warrant having 2 games at EVO.

Smash not popular enough? Who the fuck was dumb enough to think that?
I've been avoiding using my mains in FG. I'm not sure why, I guess I'm trying to branch out, Ganondorf, King Dedede, and Yoshi are great, but some matches I find myself so inferior that my deaths would be featured in a kill montage.
Playing random with friends sure is an eye opener at times, I keep finding myself really enjoying characters that I probably wouldn't have otherwise considered giving much of a chance and learning new things about them. Like Falco for instance, it wasn't until I played him on random and tried recovering with him that I noticed his side-b spikes.

Smash is one of the smaller games in the competitive fighting game community.
