I'm losing my mind. I had a match against a jigglypuff and got rested twice right off the bat and was like "oh man I'm fucked" then pulled it back. I have 120% or something like that and she charges up a rollout. I perfect shield and apparently they didn't expect it as they go flying off and SD at like nothing%
Second match opened the exact same way. I felt so bad for that poor puff

Recorded with a potato but I never fought megaman before and I panicked.
I have never been mad at winning a match because man I played like complete dogshit and did not deserve it at all started up a rematch and killed myself to give him the win.
Heads up: If you double-SD, your opponent doesn't get a win for their FG record, and you're 1/3 the way to an excessive SD ban (6 SDs in one hour).
The only thing they really get out of it is not feeling like shit I guess.

It's never too late. Though honestly it's all preference, if you're playing a character who can string multiple up airs or up airs are ultra important it's a good idea to have it turned off and use buttons, but if you're dedede or shulk or someone it doesn't really matter in my opinion.

I mostly play Lucario, Bowser, Ganondorf and (sometimes) Mario/Pacman. I guess it doesn't matter too much.
I'd say it matters for Bowser at least, I don't play the others enough to know if they rely on their uair or utilts.

So yeah, a damn shame the meme happened, because the argument is not solid. Oh well, brains will be brains.
For more relevant stuff, tap jumping is something that always gets in my way, but I usually like my up tilts, and them turning into up smashes is already annoying, so jumping is out of the question. As is jumping instead of using the up aerial, or having trouble jumping at an angle (although Smash from Brawl onwards having that counterintuitive mechanic where you lose momentum upon jumping eases the penalty of tap jumps there). Still, I would never use a directional button to jump in a platformer, and Smash is, at its core, a platformer-based fighting game. Then again, to each their own; I couldn't play Metroid Prime Trilogy if shooting wasn't mapped to A and jumping to B, despite the counter-intuitiveness of not shooting with the trigger, and the awkwardness of missile combos playing that way.

Oh my god dude shut the fuck up about Ridley it's over. This is why people hate him, it's obnoxious seeing pointless shit 3-4+ months after the game comes about all about how "Ridley would of been perfect fuckin' memes!!!" He didn't get in. Period. It doesn't matter that Kraid is even bigger in Super he's still fucking huge compared to them. Look at him in Smash 4 he is huge.
