So Banjo & Kazooie actually have their chances? Talk about unexpected. I thought Joseph Joestar would have more chances because JoJo had like two games on the Super Famicom. :v:
Still thinking about my vote over here. Thought Shantae would make a great assist trophy but if WayForward is actually going all out to get her to be playable I might as well give them my vote.

Oh god don't joke about that. I'm like the lone wolf of a group of friends who hasn't seen Jojo's, I wouldn't hear the end ofi t.
Popo could definitely work as a single fighter, but to be honest I'm not sure if I want him to.
As far as I've noticed, people liked Ice Climbers for their unique play style, not because of the actual characters themselves.
Removing Nana just turns him into a pretty average fighter, and possibly even lamer considering he's from an otherwise forgotten game from 20 years ago that never got a sequel and might never.
Surely there is a more relevant ice-related character that could take solo Popo's spot.
On the other hand, I would love for them to get the Kid Icarus treatment and have one of the big Nintendo directors give them a sweet reboot, especially since classic-style side-scrollers seem to be pretty popular again.
on a compltely different note, I think Cranky Kong would make a pretty interesting fighter. Being super old, he'd probably be a very slow runner and also be a very light character, but he'd make up for it with a different kind of movement and very powerful abilities (so a lot like Jigglypuff I guess).
I voted for Shovel Knight.
He has a pretty nice moveset already with his Shovel and Relics.
For example:
SideB: Flare Wand / Alchemy Coin / Chaos Sphere / Throwing Anchor
UpB: Propeller Dagger
DownB: War Horn / Mobile Gear
And he could use his fishing rod like Link uses his hookshot, to grab enemies and grab the side of the stage to recover and stuff like that.
[sp]His final smash could be him rummaging through a chest and throwing jewels everywhere that do damage.[/sp]
and we already know his down air would be the Shovel Drop
You know, even if no indie characters get in game, I would love for them all to get in a big collaboration and make their own fighting game, full of popular indies with their own diverse movesets. It might not be smash, but it'd be damn good on it's own.
Rayman has a lot of potential. Pretty sure he was going to be a character at some point in the first place.
Nope
Just Isaac, Dillon, Barbara, Wonder Red and Karate Joe, later replaced by Marshal
probably

No, the Final Smash is the Troupple dancing. Nothing else will do.
-woops, wrong thread-
Now that Gaijin themselves have also expressed support for it, I still think CommanderVideo would be a good playable character. Hell, he already has one foot in the door with that trophy in the Wii U version.

According to Google the SNES game is based on Part 3.

I can imagine this happening:
"Due to fan demand, Goku [sp]from Yuyuuki, a Nintendo game for the Famicom[/sp] will be added to the roster"

I have low hopes for the Mii costume DLCs.
Primarily because the main way that people play together outside of couch-play is online. And Miis (and all custom moves) are not eligible for play unless you add people as friends. Customs at least have the appeal of offering new gameplay flavors, so tournaments are going to be sure to keep those afloat. But the Mii costumes I fear are going to go the way of Portal 2 hats. Cosmetics that exist solely to show off to your friends. Contrast with TF2 hats -- cosmetics that you can show off to everyone you play with, it's a pretty obvious reason why the ones in P2 flopped so hard. Mii costumes seem to be going down that same path unless we get an update that lets us finally use custom movesets outside of local or friend-only matches.
They just need to add an online mode specifically for customs in both Fun and Glory, since that's probably the most we could ask for.

Just having 4 filters would be great.
Defaults only. Custom moves allowed. Equipment allowed. Don't care.
I expect most people to just opt for "customs allowed" because of how much it offers without bringing in the bullshit that is custom equipment.
But really the interface for custom movesets is atrocious. It's asking someone to leave the game, navigate through menus, and then decide their entire moveset on the spot. When a more attractive option would just be to let people navigate a sub-menu at character select that lets them pick out any move-changes that they want there.
Say I'm running with a 1123 moveset and then I want to swap out to a 2123 moveset in between rounds. I'd need to exit entirely so I can back out to that custom equips screen if I don't already have that specific moveset as a pre-set. It's archaic and clunky.
I voted for the Chorus Kids...
I still want to believe.

Melee pack seems like a big ripoff.
Who even wants to play as Roy or Pichu, and Sakurai has said time and time again that there is no way Ice Climbers are going to work in Smash.

Well there aren't exactly a lot of other Melee characters to pick from
I'd buy it just for PokeFloats and 4-player Pichu matches.
i wouldn't mind having all the n64 stages back
also spoilers: i'd play as pichu since he's fun as fuck if you play him right
I still don't get why he can't just make 1 single exception with the Ice Climbers.
If it wasn't for the 3DS, Ice Climbers would be still around for sure.

Its a good thing i already voted for her 2 days ago then. :v:
But seriously, Quote, Shantae, and Shovel Knight should all get in, each of their respective devs deserve it.

A lot of people surprisingly want Roy back. Pichu could be reworked into something different, could easily work as a "babby's first Pikachu" like how Lucina is to Marth. Especially since Pikachu is actually pretty tough to play to the standard of competitive players who really make Pikachu's moveset shine.
I still believe in Pichu.

Not just someone, someone from Facepunch
honestly i'm sick of people wanting the old stages and characters back. why can't we have some refreshing, new characters and new stages, rather than old stuff with a coat of paint over it?
Have I been missing something with Pokefloats? Is there a reason it's so popular?

Because it's such a great stage.

Something truly spectacular.
