Ice Climber as a solo fighter is slashing most of the appeal the character had in the first place, because no one really is too hyped about a new Ice Climber game and no one would have even looked at the character that much if it weren't for their immediately-outstanding gimmick. Ice Climbers as a singular player that looks like a duo can work. But it's effectively rebuilding most of the character from the ground up, even moves that are already designed would need to not only be animated to accommodate changes, but they'd need new framedata and hitdata too. Only moves that would really be fine [i]as is[/i] are their 4 specials, as producing 2 projectiles, a multihit attack, a freezing attack that has directions based on ground/air status, and a non-hitting recovery are all relatively simple to work with if the character were to be reworked. It's the normals that would need the bulk of the work, and that's a lot since it's a huge percentage of the character's moveset.
