Watch Paper Mario be announced.
Entire moveset is based around stickers.

Entire moveset is actually Mario's with different stats.[/QUOTE]
The more likely outcome, considering Toon Link.

Wouldn't mind having her too, surprised she hasn't been mentioned much here.[/QUOTE]
I figure Inkling will probably be a given. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a dlc trailer announcement when Splatoon comes out.
Just ordered a gamecube adapter and new controller.
I haven't used a Gamecube controller since Melee, but I'm gonna get back to using it.
All these people so thirsty to be in Smash.

His game's been out for like half a year at this point?
And like 3 days for Europe.
This is like a president election at this point.

I can't be the only one who thinks they should've just made a new character for the P4 slot, rather than just slap a thing on a basic enemy.
Like yeah I kinda get the appeal, and they're trying really hard to make it likable, but that'd be like if for the P4 slot of NSMBWii, they added a goomba with a hat.
[editline]t[/editline]
[sp]And yes I know Paper Mario did exactly that, but that's not what I'm on about.[/sp]

I'd be ok with Gooey, Rick or Adeliene reprising Bandana Dee's role in the future.
And for NSMBWii they just made P4 a differently colored Toad so :v:
Poor Rick. He's probably never going to appear again if Bandanna Dee becomes a staple.

well to be fair in Kirby 64 there was also a Waddle dee partner as they traveled around the planets and stuff. I've just kinda subconsciously considered Bandanna dee as that specific Waddle dee for whatever reason.
Though it would be nice to see Adeliene, Gooey, Rick or any of the other partner's return, Waddle dee is definitely a popular enemy in comparison to most of the others. And I'm 100% okay with his inclusion as a playable character, but If they ever made an 4 or more multi-player Kirby game in the future some of the older characters should get reprises, but Bandana dee should stay hes fun.
[sp]Nintendo, pls. Kirby 64 HD/Remaster with even more power up combos, levels, and allies than in the original.[/sp]
I know I'm beading a dead horse here but I very much don't like Wonder Red
His design, along with the style of the game overall, doesn't appeal to me whatsoever. I can understand WHY people like him and his game but I have never once had the slightest interest in W101

That's a general consensus actually. He is the only Waddle Dee with any real significance so it is safe to assume he is indeed Bandana Dee.
It was also incredibly confusing when Kirby 64 was one of your first Kirby games, and followed up with one of the handheld games. I saw Waddle Dee and assumed it was friendly because of Kirby 64, I found out the hard way that wasn't the case.
Oh man Wolf Flash (Fox's side special 3) is the best, holy shit.
I just three-stocked one of my friends with Dthrow into WF dunk all three times. Salt has been pouring out my windows for like an hour.

Even as someone who liked W101, I don't see how any of the things that make that game interesting and fun could translate well into Wonder Red as a playable fighter.
Well to start, all of his special attacks (unite morphs) would be chargeable, growing bigger and more powerful the longer they're charged. Complete with "UNIIIIIIIIIIIITE ..." while charging.
It wouldn't just be him. The major Wonderful Ones would lend their power (and unite morphs) by jumping in, aiding in the move and jumping out.
[editline]6th April 2015[/editline]
The character wouldn't be "Wonder Red", it would be "Wonderful Ones". A game where the focus is teamwork on a grand scale can't fairly be represented by just one person, can it?
honestly it'd be hard to convey the whole 'there's a hundred of em' working together thing without it being super distracting
like i'd probably call the character "The Wonderful (One-Oh)Ones" and just have each palette be a different one of em, then just give them the same attacks and explain in a trophy "WHILE [del]NESS[/del] Wonder Red [del]DOESN'T KNOW PK FIRE, THUNDER, MAGNET OR STARSTORM[/del] doesn't use his Unite attacks by himself, perhaps [del]PAULA AND POO TAUGHT HIM HOW TO FOR HIS SMASH BROS APPEARANCE[/del] the support from the other 100 allows Wonder Red to perform these attacks by himself".
in that sense, you kind of miss the whole point of the 101 because as a mechanic it seems unfeasible but isn't worth including him without it. kind of like ice climbers being cut or reworked to be ice climber. i guess the particles or animations could try to depict it?

Sakurai and his team would figure it out, I'm pretty sure about that.
But it's not only about having him in with a good moveset, it's also about publicity.
Much like Shulk with Xenoblade, a character representing W101 would surely raise the popularity of the game after it's horrible sells. Wonder Red would fit that role nicely.

That's never a good sole reason to include a character. Shulk works for a bunch of other reasons. Roy was included because it was easy to just make him out of Marth, and as far as I can recall there haven't really been any other advertisement characters in the series.
Yoshi feels really good to play but I feel almost dirty playing him, because someone I know only plays him because he's high-tier and easy to be cheap with.
They think Yoshi games are dumb and the character is ugly :v:

Never said it's the only, but it would be one of the main reasons yeah.
roy was a one-off who was picked because sakurai thought him more interesting then leif.
when it comes to sakurai, there's 2 sets of rules. there's the Big Important Rules that he follows from the start, and the Weird Arbitrary Rules that tend to take effect halfway through development or in response to certain factors.
for instance, a Big Important Rule is having new characters be interesting. Chrom was dropped in favor of Robin, because he's more interesting moveset wise and isn't just a blue-haired swordsperson. however, the Weird Arbitrary Rule of adding more content at the last minute led to Lucina, a blue-haired swordsperson getting added. another Big Important Rule might be focusing on characters who are well-known and usually from last generation. a Weird Arbitrary Rule is including Roy instead of Leif because he's more interesting with his burning sword and red hair, which somehow invokes a Big Important Rule. both Weird Arbitrary Rules concern cases where characters are added later in development, so Sakurai drops his standards to allow more content. there's plenty of other examples like this as well.
tl;dr sakurai has two levels of justifications and they clash against each other

Alm probably would've been more interesting than both of them though, since he eventually gains the ability to use a Bow.
