But then again Konami did RT that tweet that said they voted for Snake to be in smash 4 I'm honestly not expecting him to come back, Snake had a hard life and he needs to rest. But if he does come back you bet your bippy I'm gonna be hyped as fuck since he was my Brawl main

I'm really glad Lucas is returning, I always liked his moveset better and I can't seem to get any momentum going as Ness in SSB4.

To be completely honest I don't trust the smash community at ALL to make sound decisions on what character to be added. Nintendo has always seemed to do the right thing, besides adding like 10 weaboo characters to the new game.

I'll keep hoping for inclusion of Rayman personally since his inclusion would explain itself, and to my knowledge Ubisoft does not have anything against the prospect, given they allowed trophies of the series to make it in.

Ike has always been a better replacement than Roy. Really, he's a unique moveset character whereas Roy is a clone. Not that clones are inherently bad, but I'd rather keep the current amount of reps from fire emblem and Ike is just more interesting.

It's a shame Ashley is an assist trophy, she would've made a really good fighter and Warioware representative. I don't know anything about the games so I don't know who else they could use.

I really want Snake back because Snake in smash holds a very special place in my heart, he got me into the Metal Gear series. I played it like once before Brawl when I was little, but I got so into playing him in smash I gave his games a shot and haven't ever regretted it. Having Snake back would make me so incredibly happy, it would also unite both of my favorite (and possibly doomed) franchises in one game. Mega Man and Metal Gear.

Most of the popular characters that fall short of being fighters were implemented already as Assist Trophies or the like.

Hopefully they won't just add classic characters to the game just because they were high on the ballot. Hell, maybe they're planning to bring back more characters over the rest of the year, and thus them being on the ballot will be discounted. Hopefully we won't get Roy though, we already have Lucina as Marth's clone (and who'd want 3 characters all based around the same person? coughmariobroscough)

I feel like we're gonna have a fighter revealed at E3. If you're going to have extended downloadable content, why reveal two veterans and not a newcomer? ...unless you're saving that for the big event

I'm thinking veterans would be revealed as placebos to wait for the votes to ballot up, over the course of several months. Considering Lucas releases in June, part of E3 could show off Lucas and then a new veteran reveal, most likely Wolf to promote Star Fox coming in the later part of the year. In August, we can get another direct, showing off Wolf and then another character they've been cooking up (Pokemon trainer pokemon? Snake? A new character entirely?), then in October they reveal the "winners" of the ballot. That would be fair, I think, especially if we get free updates along the way.
