The fight went on forever, especially since we play Omega mode with items off. We still had fun, but we'd get in a few fights in the time it took for the battle of the Duck Hunts In a 4 player battle it isn't bad, but for 1-on-1 I just pick Mr. Game & Watch

Honestly it'd feel weird if DHD wasn't an obnoxious and smug motherfucker In all seriousness though, most of his attacks (particularly the projectiles) don't do that much shield damage, so using it wisely will get you in almost every time. If you know he's going to dash grab you to punish shield use, watch for his dash to start, roll away and Fsmash, spot dodge and Utilt/Usmash, or roll past him and dash attack from behind. The best way to beat DHD is to be patient. That dog punishes rushing harshly, but he has no real counter to patient, tactical play.
