The render was a WIP one, that seemed quite clear. And the thing is, Pokemon is about the second largest Nintendo franchise, and 6 characters out of 50+ is the right amount (a full Pokemon team is fitting). The Gen I ones are also the most iconic, and the ones that most people recognice; Lucario getting ingrained into the collective mind was quite unexpected, and it suffers from heavy pandering (that's already 2 games in a row where Riolu is just besides the first gym, and therefore a very solid choice for the whole game), one that wasn't able to be repeated with Zoroark, but was achieved in Gen VI by exploiting first Mewtwo, then Charizard. Greninja is quite popular for a Gen VI mon, and it is customary to include a member of the newest generation in Smash. If anything, Jigglypuff is the odd one out, but grandfather clause. In any case, Mewtwo is far more relevant that Jigglypuff, was meant to be included as far back as in Smash 64, and is overall a well liked character. Oh, and Smash 4 statistically includes THE LEAST ammount of Gen I Pokemon relative to the total: Melee had 3 gen I versus one gen II (and it was Pichu, so every family was a Gen I one), and Brawl had 5 gen I Pokemon. Also, about the number of Pokemon, Mario has now a total of 11 characters, 9 if you have to discount the Kongs, incluiding Mario in a different outfit as a separate character. And, Dr.Mario aside, it is FITTING to have those. When you have over 50 characters, you can't expect symmetrical representation, because the market behemoths are more relevant than small games. Mario and Pokemon were half of the original roster, after all; if anything, their relative presence has decreased. Thanks for the better worded argument, and, in any case, I'll still kick your ass as Mewtwo.
I like Mewtwo because it feels like playing Lucario without being oiled up. Lucario is so fucking slippy its unreal.
They are somewhat similar but quite distinct. Aerial movility is Mewtwo's key.
I like Mewtwo because it feels like playing Lucario without being oiled up. Mewtwo and Lucario have a tangentially-similar neutral B, literally everything else about them is different ranging from their standard moveset to their weightclass.
I predict a Mew-two trailer in this upcoming direct.
wave 4 announced wario and pacman yesss
Wario, Pac-Man, male Robin, Charizard, and Ness are the next wave. Edit: they also confirmed Marth is getting a re-release to coincide with the release of Codename STEAM Also it's WarioWare Wario, not overalls Wario. I know that it's important to some people.
to anybody who didn't see, no Mewtwo or Smash DLC announcement in the direct :/
It was too soon to announce anything related to Mewtwo anyway.
The /vg/ thread doesn't have a primer for Bowser so are there any guides/videos i should use to git gudder?
how are your amiibos doing, guys? i'm using my Cpt. Falcon (black outfit, named Dredd) for Dedede practice. he's lvl. 37 and beginning to match me but i can still best him with 2-3 stocks to spare. i feel like the amiibo AI is much more like a human player than that of the regular CPUs

My villager is nearly undefeated and only really loses when I actively try to gimp him/her I have no idea WHY it can take out little mac on elden bridge but it can.
I named my Captain Falcon Wario
Sometimes I get a bit bummed when I realize that gen 3 was completely skipped over for Pokemon representation, but on the other hand despite my lifetime love of Pokemon I do think their representation is getting close to too big. [editline]14th January 2015[/editline] but with Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire appearing to be very popular maybe there's a Gen 3 DLC chance.
6 characters out of 52 is about the same as 2 out of 12, in any case. And, personally, I'd rather have Charizard than Blaziken.
oh god pls no Blaziken I'd like a newer heavy character like maybe Hariyama, Slaking (with interesting timing-based mechanics), Ludicolo would be fun, or perhaps Aggron, though Aggron's body type is very similar to Charizard. [editline]14th January 2015[/editline] no more starters Also Registeel could potentially be really really cool.
does anyone wanna add me? I need to practice bowser in 1 v 1 and for glory gives me an insane amount of input delay.

None of the things you said are true to that
i cant decide between ganondorf or bowser for my main
Your Bowser could stand to learn a few things.
