Join me in the Smashpunch chatroom if y'all want a beatdown. My triple threat (Palutena, Jigglypuff, Robin) needs some practice.
I really hope Xander Mobus keeps his role as the announcer for future Smash Bros games to come.
I feel like the guy deserves it, he seems like a really fun guy.
Trying to transition my main from Falcon to Yoshi, since he's my favorite and all, but i'm having trouble making the switch.
My main two issues are landing killing blows to players at high percent, and also not getting hit quite so much due to his high jumps and poor roll.
Any general advice you can give a Yosh? I've been reading guides but I was wondering if you guys had any essential tips.
Don't use your roll. If you need to back away safely, shield and jump back (jump > immediately back on the stick). You can do your Nair, Dair and Fair out of this as well.

I think he's too wacky with some names to be honest. Greninja and BOWSER jr namely.
Also Yoshi's Nair is INSTANT if you jump out of shield. Practice this and do it often.

Every announcer has had a few names that they just completely slaughtered. SSB64's announcer clearly had a heart attack while trying to say "Metal Mario" and left the S off in "Mario Brother." Melee's announcer just generally sounds weird as shit (MALLIOOO, FUCKS, LEENK, piKAchu.) Brawl's was probably the best one, and it's clear Xander was doing his best to imitate that one's style. Xander also really struggled through Jigglypuff and "Mii" almost sounds like "Moo"
After playing around and watching that video I'm still finding myself getting beaten a lot by CPUs and FG alike.
My main problem is dealing with people who spam rolls, counters, and especially air dodges, since they ruin my aerials.
What's the best way to deal with that?

It's BOWSER Jr. because in the Japanese release it's KOOPA! Jr.
Like they use the same "Junior" for both versions, they just change the Bowser and Koopa

If they spam all of the aforementioned moves then think 2 steps ahead and position yourself to counter their spam.
That's easy to say, but sometimes it just comes down to the fact they're spammy, but they're smart.
As in, they might only use a few moves and roll everywhere, but they do that in the most efficient way possible and are able to read most of your advances. Those players are torture to fight.

It's not as if he himself decided how to voice/emphasize certain lines though, that's the voice director's job.

Nah he would've done it and then the voice director would either tell him "that's shit mate lol can you do it like this...." or "hey that was pretty unique. Good job dude".
If we just have directors to tell actors and voice actors how to do everything we wouldn't need actors who have any skill at all.

Understanding and following instructions is a skill
it's a fucking asset when working with any kind of director
The Greninja buff in the 3DS version definitely makes me want to pick him up when the update comes to Wii U, but I wonder what else is going to come with it, hopefully the miiverse stage.
Wait, characters actually got changed?
Remember nintendo only listens to the japanese competitive scene, that's why they nerfed greninja a few patches ago.

He's said before that he just read out each line a couple of times, trying different things each time, and then they just picked the ones they liked the most. So yes, he did decide.

Quick, what's the Japanese otomatopeia for hoo haa
I have been playing Mac a good amount of time and I can honestly say he plays a lot like Jotaro from JoJo's Bizarre adventure. Pretty strong and solid ground game but short range and mediocre air play.
It still fun as hell to uppercut people into oblivion when they try to recover thought and power trough opponent attacks just by using side A.
My Toon Link amiibo came in and he already beat my level 50 Link one at level 20, I'm so proud of my main.
Hey, anyone who wants to play me can jump on the chat now. I have a couple hours.
