Charizard was given a titlecard in his trailer despite being a Brawl veteran. Yes the trailer did focus on Greninja as well, but that's not to say that veterans can't hold a spot in a trailer.
Also reminder that Melee came out 14 years ago. There's a large enough gap that a generation of game players have never played Melee in the first place, both Mewtwo and Dr. Mario would be new to them. Not to mention that it'd make sense to have a trailer for the first ever DLC character. They've been using the trailers as marketing, why not continue that trend?

I wouldn't be surprised if all the hidden characters become revealed in one big, blowout trailer that shows them all off.

So something similar to the first trailer with Villager but extended for each new character that hops into the fray.
That'd be a lengthy trailer, but I think it'd be a better use of resources to have each trailer separated into having only a handful of the cast, so it doesn't feel like they're shoving in the roster just because. Also it'd be easier to pace the music with different bits of action instead of it being back-to-back-to-back. But that's down to the sound designer.

Charizard wasn't in Brawl, Pokemon Trainer was ;)
but seriously, it was more of Greninja's trailer, Charizard was just an extra reveal in that trailer.
I could see Rayman getting a trailer and Mewtwo somehow making an appearance in it.

If they won't be making any other character dlc? It would be a great sendoff to the game.

That was an idea that was thrown out in a discussion during the latest Japan Time that they thought could be neat.
Music Wise if Rayman had a stage would need
Band Land, Mr. Dark's Theme, Land of the Livid Dead, and the 20,000 Lums under the sea.

I honestly wouldn't mind if the next Smash gave each guest 3rd party company two reps.
Sega could get Sonic and Jack Frost
Namco could get Pacman and Lloyd Irving
Capcom could get Megaman and Ryu/Phoenix Wright/Viewtiful Joe
Konami could get Bomberman and Simon/Snake

All of these characters have a history with Nintendo in some way, I don't see why it's dumb to feel that each of these companies have multiple characters deserving of battling against Nintendo all-stars, considering they are well-known characters that have had significant history on Nintendo systems.
