I play TL over Link because on a personal level, regular Link isn't a very interesting character to me. His WW incarnation was the only one I didn't find somewhat bland.

I find Link more annoying than Toon Link because of his voice, the triple hitting Up-Smash and the dash attack.

Toon Link has far more effective projectiles IMO. He can fucking angle his boomerang.

i like fighting regular link more because i'm able to jump behind his boomerang and ride it right into his face

recently ended up playing melee again started off terrible as shit, eventually got good enough with falcon to land knees 85% of the time even though I still can't do any ATs but hey room to grow I guess

Ever since getting around to using a button to jump, I haven't been anywhere near as consistent with SHFFing, particularly SHFF Nair and Bair. I swear, if it isn't one thing holding me back from improving, it's another.

If anyone wants to try and get better at Melee, and don't have a sparring partner or something, I definitely recommend downloading the [URL="http://smashboards.com/threads/the-20xx-melee-training-hack-pack-3-02-update-pal-chars-more-alt-stages-costumes-new-debug-menu.351221/"]20XX Hack Pack.[/URL] It opens straight to the CSS for quick matches, lets you go into Debug so you can fiddle around with some dev shit like removing tap jump and enabling your character to flash when you miss an L-Cancel, allows for playing alone by holding up the D-Pad, and tons of other shit. The best part is, Achilles (the creator of the hack) is working on a way to let you enable 20XX through a memory card! Until then, though, you'll have to use some more unconventional means.
