The Japanese for some reason never really liked Metroid that much. Tastes over there are kinda different.
Remember, most of the tweets about the "leak" had either surprise about who Rayman was, or were in the line of "overseas pandering".
Fusion was really good the only problem i find with it is it introduces Adam to the series who to me is the root of all the series problems. now no more other m i promise so to help change the subject...

I started making a thing.
Y'know, that kinda brings up something interesting. Does anyone else here own both versions, but very rarely use the WiiU one unless they have company over?
I keep my computer in a different room from my TV and console, and like to have a stream or something playing in the background so I don't stress out too much while playing, so usually when I get the itch to play, I just pull out my 3DS while sitting in my computer chair and start playing. Takes a tiny fraction of the time needed to get the WiiU version up and running.
It's not even by choice, it's just that that one is less effort to jump right into on a whim, play for 20 minutes and then put it away again. If I wanted to play on WiiU, I'd have to boot the console, sign in, boot the game, set the gamepad up as a screen if I'm not in the den, get my controller, wait for it to load, and THEN play for 20 minutes before reversing all that when I'm done; that versus just picking up my 3DS, opening it, and boom, there's the main menu. Doesn't even take five seconds.
Then you realize how much better a controller and a console does everything 3DS does, and how much more there is to do in the U version. Amiibos, Special Smash, 8-player Smash, Smash Tour, Events, Hand Orders, Stage Builder and Special. Oh, and more than two songs per each stage. About 5-10 per stage, in fact.
I agree that the game is great and quick handheld fun for when you have the smash munchies. When you're REALLY feeling it, though, starting up the U may be in order.
I'm not calling you lazy, just... lacking in motivation to use the 'difficult' hardware.

My setup is my main monitor mirrored to my TV running dolphin emulator, and then the Wii U adapter for the GC controllers
If I don't have a CRT I might as well go all the way and have 1080p antialiasing on PM and Melee
What are your playtimes for Smash?
I've got 202 hours clocked in on the 3DS version and barely anything on the Wii U version due to busy life and shit.
i've got 176 hours. 2027 online battles, and 280 offline ones

i've seriously played almost nothing but smash since it came out

you do realise melee with the official adapter has less lag on dolphin on a 144 hz screen than on a real gc right

Give him a gigantic reflex hammer. Neutral B has him suck you toward him and you are frozen when his stethoscope touches you. Side B has him chucking giant pills. Up B is super jump. Down B sweetspots if it hits the bottom half of the target character.
Did anyone here heard that nintendo is holding a super smash bros tournament on the 28. february in Frankfurt?
The twist: It's a 2 vs 2 tournament and your partner is an amiibo.

Maximum sausage zoning
Control opponent landings with UAir (you will spam this, but thats OK, you'll barely hit them)
DTilt is fastest tilt
UTilt can hit behind
FSmash is practically useless unless perfectly telegraphed - use FTilt if they're on a ridiculously high percentage (225<) this will kill
If non-physical projectile spamming, fill bucket ASAP and fuck them up
DAir is fairly fast and has good combo potential, isnt pure suicide like TLink/Shiek/ZSS - has metor effect to, so you can jump -> DAir -> recover with USpecial as a nice gimp
If you're good at reading opponents, i recommend using SSpecial instead of a smash attack (except USmash), as DSmash doesn't have reliable killing power and without maximum telegraphing FSmash will never be viable - USmash will kill fairly reliably
Jab is the quickest move you can throw out while on the ground, so if in grabbing range try throwing out a single Jab to clear the space. Jab combo is pretty weak so just use the element of surprise generated by the single jab to do a follow up
My biggest problem with G&W is killing at a percentage sub-200. The only things that you any good at doing a far launch are his UAir (which has a wind effect on both hits so you're gonna miss unless you slide into it (rip wavedashing)) and smash attacks. His tilts are fairly reliable in terms of speed, but they're still quite weak and don't have a knockback you want. The DAir gimping I mentioned really throw people off as the last thing the expect when they're recovering is you to plummet onto their head, and then you can recover with ease. Don't spam DAir unless you know what you're doing.

I actually don't use the gamecube controller for a pretty good reason; the moment I get one in my hands, my brain goes right into Melee mode, with just how ingrained that game has become into my muscle memory from maining Fox at a high skill level back in the day.
This severely crippled me in Brawl, I just couldn't improve because I kept trying to do Melee strings subconsciously. It's only after I started using the classic controller instead that that went away, and I was finally able to start playing properly. It sounds weird to say, but while most will argue the GC controller makes them better at Smash4, it makes me WORSE.

Also there are actually some actions I find easier to do with the circle pad, thanks to its shorter travel. Repeated SHFF Fair with Ike, for instance.

Ftilt can kill at silly percentages because its knockback is basically horizontal. It's very potent against someone with a weak horizontal recovery and can KO near the edge. Also functions as a suitable shove-off move if someone's too close for comfort.
Dtilt has a windbox above the manhole. You can use this to interrupt the trajectory of some projectiles and suspend characters in midair. This is especially useful if someone misses the ledge sweetspot and they're now helpless, you get a free punish on them.
Uair can kill if you connect with both hits. But most of the time you're going to be abusing the windbox to screw with any falling characters.
Sausages completely shut down Dedede's Gordo attacks due to its wide range. It's mean but it forces him to make a move.
Up B has a windbox too, oddly enough. But you're likely to be hitting people directly with hit anyway. If you nab a helpless person with the windbox and not the hitbox, you get a free followup with any air attack you want.
Depending on what hammer value you get, you can followup in a few different ways. 2 or 3 can be followed by a ftilt or dash. 4 is tougher to follow with but I've found Fair to work. 5 puts on shield pressure. 6 can kill. 7 is heals. 8 with any air attack, and 9 is obvious. 1 does nothing for you.
Down throw can combo into several things depending on percent. You can lead it into side-B, down-B, Utilt at low. Nair, Fair, Up-B, shorthop sideB/downB at mid %, up-B at around 90%, any higher and you have no more followups but can annoy with Uair.
Also abuse G&W's small stature, you can low profile under a good amount of projectiles and a decent amount of attacks. Jigglypuff and Kirby have a similar advantage.

never forget
Sm4sh needs more stages without hazards, not just omega versions, like different platforms and changes that affect gameplay
Its a shame because I imagine the dev team feels that they have given plenty of options and tools to people who don't like stages hazards/gimmicks, when all they've given us is 50+ versions of FD and a still fairly mediocre stage editor.
Fountain of dreams is my fav stage, please modding come fast.
-nevermind finally unlocked them-
I closed Dolphin as I was getting smashed off the stage and now my GC controller won't stop vibrating so i'm using it as a back massager
what a time to be alive

Of course it only works if you have the bucket filled.
