Welcome to Battlefield 4's current state.
Same issue here. I could run BF3 on high with a good framerate. Hell I should be able to do the same with BF4 but it's so badly optimized right now/lack of driver support I get normal FPS then random drops/stutter.

I could run BF3 on ultra with 80fps and in bf4 its more over 80 fps.
about the foxhound patch- I re-equipped it for now, but I still want to tweak it over time, maybe even remake it now that I have a normal lightning bolt instead of the double. Just go to [url=http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/soldier/daiteka/stats/200631308/pc/]my profile[/url] and click the patch to view it, there should be a button to copy it, like this (hi codemaster)

Also is copying emblems a premium feature aswell? I don't seem to get the option to copy emblems. Unless it's just outright blocked if the emblem is over 20 layers?

No but they pressure developers to release early, which I think was the case here, just to compete with CoD Ghosts, despite that being a pile of shit anyway.
If this game had stayed in beta for another month or so, I bet half of these problems like optimisation, funky netcode and crashes would not be as apparant/a problem

boats are pretty fucking op. I had one awesome moment on paracel storm, there were 2 attack boats rushing me, I was in my own attack boat, I was sitting on a wave that lifted me up, managed to snipe the first boat before it got too close, other one came rushing me and I just shot the crap out of everything, killing 5-6 guys alone in 1 attack boat.

Finally managed to play long enough without crashing to unlock the Javelin, in the 20 minutes that followed I probably singlehandedly brought down every enemy chopper on the map, the lock-on time isn't too long either so sometimes if one comes right at me I can lock on and fire before it kills me, pretty sweet.

Did they buffed handheld AA?
Wow, BF4 just crashed and completley fucked my PC. Had to do a hard restart because I was completley frozen out of my pc. Wish they'd drop a patch already, even if it's just a hotfix to reduce the crashes.

Yeah it's not that good with alt-tabbing. Dual monitors help out though, easier to open task-manager and kill it.

its probably because a lot of people having netcode issues probably don't even get alerted about a lock. and it takes two missles to kill heli's. it's still easy to juke them or flare.
Stingers will ignore flares if you maintain a lock on them. They need ECM jammer against it, that will divert missile.
