Being Russian in BF3 was awesome. It was also easier to find hidden enemy players as enemy support and medic would yell 'HERE'S YOUR AMMO' or 'PATCH YOURSELF UP' They knew when they did that, their dogtags were mine. :v:

Click PBservice or something in the BF4 folder, that's how i fixed it.[/QUOTE]

for anyone who gets this error, the way to fix it is finding "pbsvc", which was in my battlefield 3 folder. running it performs an install repair on punkbuster and it fixed itself

the packs will have predetermined perks based on what games you have vet status on, like some dogtags and the ACB-90 knife from bf3 premium (I want it so bad)

the problem is probably that the service isn't detecting vet status at all and refusing to reward people. I had to contact support to get vet on bf3

I wouldn't say it's the "Standard", not would I say that getting it out and making money is the sole consideration. What many people seem to forget is that Publishers, and by extension DEVELOPERS are competing with one another. They HAVE to get their product out before the other, otherwise they lose sales. It's the same sort of philosophy for independent developers, perhaps even more so because they may not have the backing to continue making games if they keep pushing their release date back or their game gets massively overshadowed by either a AAA title, or another indie.

Not to mention they also have to keep up with the trends of the market and either keep adding new things, picking up well known franchises or taking a risk by doing something totally different. The "Standard" is that competition in the games industry has always been extremely high, and if you don't compete you get left behind.

Now even with BF4's totally obnoxious bugs and SHIT netcode, it still beats the hell out of the CoD experience. Replacing zombies with aliens, and attempting to change CoD's traditional multiplayer flow in my opinion comes too late. It is outclassed in the graphical department, still falls laughably short with audio, and presents very little (CoD wise) innovation. Sure it may be fun, but it's because they haven't really done anything with it since they really nailed the formula with the first MW.

We are also talking about a MP game here, which is on the bleeding edge of developer competition so it shouldn't be unusual that there are balancing issues and bugs and garbage. However, using that excuse to cover for all of DICE/EA's misdeeds with BF4 is impossible.

Crashing I can forgive. The frequent sound bugs, and the fact that I am CONSTANTLY getting stuck on pebbles and tiny pieces of debris or that I can't climb something a foot above mantling height (seriously, reach up and stretch your arms FFS) in a game that touts it's ability for simulated destruction should be fucking humiliating for DICE/EA.

Simple SRAW guide by Matimi0. What he calls the "wombo combo" is ingenious. I can't believe I never thought of it before. Probably because it wouldn't work like that in real life, but it does in the game. Meanwhile, rocket sniping snipers brings me back to the BF2 days where all the AT class got was an awful SMG so your wire guided rockets became your long distance weapon.

Use the guided launcher (SRAW) Fire a missile up in the air, aiming down your sight for a sec, reload then fire a missile straight at a tank (works better with slow/stationary vehicles) after your missle just fired hits the vehicle, keep aiming at it and the first missile you fired will also impact the target.

So in the space of a few seconds you hit a tank for almost half it's health

Using the staff shell and then the primary cannon will let you burst fire with the tank. Plus the staff shell guides itself if it gets close enough, allowing you to get free hits when the other can't see you

I assumed that was a punkbuster screenshot folder, doesn't Origin have a screencap function?
